There are some key points in Malaysia history you have missed out particularly on how Malaysian got it two states in Borneo and Malaysia didn't gain independence but was form in 1963 by former British colony of Malaya(gain independence in1957), Sabah(North Borneo, independence at August of 1963) and Sarawak(independence at July of 1963). But overall very informative and thanks for the video
He also forgets to mention the 13th May incident back in 1969 which shaped the economy and society in Malaysia via the introduction of Rukunegara, NEP and NDP...
Malaysian cuisine is one of the best. I rank it as one of my favorite along side with Vietnamese, Turkish and Mexican. And you can find them all in NYC.
Well this is very helpful to me as I have an assignment to do about malaysian history and although you can't do this in malay I appreciate you giving malaysian history in summary form it really helped and credits for the animations😊😍👍☺️🤗😆
US? Yes! 'United Sultanate' of Malaysia in 9 Sultans on the Royal Roster for 'An Agong' or A King for 5 years which you find His Majesty Greetings ''Daulat Tuanku!"
@mr History, love your style. Personally,Im looking to get a better understanding of why Singabpore was kicked out of Malaysia but again, I really enjoyed this video, well done.
Let me sum it up for you: Singapore had a lot of ethnic Chinese peoples (and other diverse peoples), and basically, after a Malay-Nationalist government came to power in Malaysia, they basically decided to kick Singapore out because they didn't like them. It wasn't for practical reasons, just an ultra-nationalist government being racist.
Next is the sprinkle of islands below the Indian subcontinent… the Maldives! 🇲🇻 After that is the land of Timbuktu and Mansa Musa… Mali! 🇲🇱 And after that is the island country that got involved with the Knights’ Templar… Malta! 🇲🇹
@ManolisLoukopoulos One word, "Konfrontasi" Something about when Sukarno was against the formation of Malaysia in 1963 (uniting the North Borneo states like Sabah, Labuan and Sarawak, and Singapore following British advice) and decided to called our country a neo-colonialism due to having some British influence in the country. The hatred can be felt to this day, especially by the Javanese of Indonesia
Actually the Tugu Negara was actually meant for commemorate soldiers who fought in the Malayan emergency and was bombed in 1975 by communists during the communist insurgency.
This is the Malay Peninsula, not the Thai, Indian/Chinese peninsula. -Srivijayan Malays may have been victorious in Sumatra, but Malays still come from the Malay Peninsula and ancient Indochina, who were marginalized by new arrivals from South China, namely the ancestors of the Vietnamese, Thais and others who made Indochina what it is today. -There is no history of the origin of the nation emerging from an island. -Japan alone claims that its ancestors came from the Korean peninsula who migrated to the island of Japan. -Conclusion:Malaysian Malays are not immigrants from Sumatra. -The Sumatran Malays are also not immigrants, they are natives of the island of Sumatra, just like the Japanese on the island of Japan.

But for over 1,400 years people have been interpreting and re-interpreting the religion to suit their own purpose! ... These [extremist and terrorist acts] are not Islamic fundamentals any more than the Christians who burned people at the stake are fundamentalist. They are actually deviating from the teachings of the religion!” ― Mahathir Mohamad

Singapore used to be part of Malaysia. You forgot about Tunku Abdul Rahman is the First Prime Minister of Malaysia kicking out Singapore out from Malaysia.
malaysia history king to sultan the first movement expand power accept islam no war just speak with the people and expand power, this story is just the history of how it came about, and it is a descendant of Alexander the great from Rome/Zulqarnain, from years before Christ source from wikipedia
Dude... Dr M fucked the country by encouraging ethnic and religious tensions. The industrialization would had to happen either way but the idea of the national car and affirmative action held the country back from being actually advanced like Singapore or Republic of Korea. This is coming from someone not from Malaysia and lived here for 7 years. The place and people are great but the politics and government are entertaining if you are not a citizen and sad if you are.
