Hi Melanie, I really enjoyed watching this food adventure. I have no idea their was so many diverse cultural cuisines in Cambodia. The foods all look delicious. Happy Birthday! 🎁🎂🎉
Cambodia is less tourist than Thai or Bali. But remember it still in mainland Southeast Asia and sandwich btw Lao Thai Vietnam. Hence, we still have 5-6 millions tourist year . So we have a lot of trendy western and non Khmer cuisines in major cities.
I really enjoy your video! Thank you! I’m cambodian living in the state, your video makes me want to go back right now! This is my first time watching you, you are just so sweet and kind:) And happy birthday!
Great video! Happy Birthday! I've been to Siem Reap several times. Have you tried one of the burgers at Jungle Burger? Also a great restaurant and a great cause is Haven Restaurant where they train people in cooking. Right now I'm planning on heading back to SR in Jan & getting an apt. Thanks for all you share!
Thank you! 🙏 My hands-down favourite burger in Southeast Asia was at Joes Burger Bar in Siem Reap! I was obsessed but always devoured them too quick to get a video lol
Weird, food in Cambodia from international cuisines looks unappetizing to its original and why all these restaurant and food stall are so empty. May be it’s better to look out for their own Cambodia food if they have any. We heard this country is trying hard to established their authenticity in many areas like taking taekwondo sport and makes it theirs as the originator of the sport. They just ruined the Japanese cuisine here so badly. After having been to Japan and eating Japanese religiously for over 30 years= this is the worst preparation and presentation of the cuisine being served in Cambodia. Cambodia needs to stick to being professional. If they wanna copy - then copy it properly be done or become more innovative, otherwise they are bringing down other culinary cultures standards.
@user-ps6fk5cd8b 😂 these places are for the most part owned and run by expats, don’t worry, they know the food of their homelands. I should have mentioned that in the video! I hate copiers too but it’s not the case 💛
@@the.yellow.princess not for the Japanese cuisine for sure, even the high over filled rice served in the bowl certainly already showing that it is not in the Japanese etiquette way of serving The meal. The Japanese have certain way of doing things and they are a very particular culture. It is that once you are accustomed to their way then it can easily be spot. The Korean accompaniment for their grilled pot doesn’t served like that either. Ahmmm… may be their chef needs more training as it seemed. A basic Standard Japanese chef is £600~700 minimum per week+ particularly for the type of restaurant you shown us in your content which isn’t a cheap street food type = So we are talking about £750 + just for a sushi chef and wouldn’t even go into tapanyaki skills or fish and noodles master as yet on today going rate. Pretty certain that the chef working ain’t Japanese nor Korean. Easy food court in Dubai, casual dining restaurants in Singapore and even simple street vendors in Thailand can replicated and represent international food of global cuisine far-far better in quality production and innovation. You may wanna look at next door to Cambodia that is in services in Vietnam, whether they are a Vietnamese or not as the owner or worker-but the end products look a lot more competent when they are represented food from Korea as example. It could be because there is a Korean town in Vietnam but the main argument here is the professionalism in upheld the good standards within culinary serving from other countries. Isn’t this the main point of your content of available food of different cultures in Cambodia.
