How can people argue that going green is bad for economies? Everyone has the chance to adapt and there is money and room for everyone to develop new products, markets/industries and it will create jobs/generate money ect.

    • @danielmanahan692

the argument comes from more energy put in than is saved, working at an energy net loss not energy gain
the argument comes from the math and science from reliable sources.

      electricity is not green
you need to emit carbon to create electricity even if that means the production of the solar still requires carbon.

Fast charging? Ya still need enough green power-plants around the nation to replace the energy density of gas and diesel. Otherwise there’s nothing to feed the grid. This is a huge obstacle. Talk is cheap.

Most EV's are charged at home. People could charge at work. The need for remote chargers is exaggerated. Yes they are needed but a realistic number. Tesla has thousands of charging locations, only a few are at over capacity. Keep in mind that Tesla has 80% market share. Grocery stores could be a good location for those who don't charge at home. Fast chargers are needed for those who travel. They need to be on arterial roads with easy access. I don't think the government should be in charge of building this.

Currently, EVs are purchased by people rather wealthy, at least enough to leave in a dwelling with access to a privatized spaced where they can install in charging point.
Most people can't do the same.
Most people park in the street, curbside.
There are solutions being developed to accommodate this type of consumers -e.g.: charging systems affixed to lamppost- yet it'll take probably a decade to see a dense infrastructure being available.
Meanwhile, a fast charging network will be required to make owning an EV frictionless -or close to it.
