Ayutthaya is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is about 80 kms North of Bangkok. The city was founded by King Ramaphibodi I in 1351 as the second capital of Thailand. It was in existence from the 14th to 18th century. During this 400 years of existence, Ayutthaya grew to become one of the World's largest and most cosmopolitan urban areas and a center of Global Diplomacy and Trading.
