It doesn’t matter what socioeconomic group a family falls into, a parent can only do so much if your child decides a certain lifestyle. My stepdaughter, the daughter of an involved, loving, well respected physician, went on a path that caused us over ten years of misery. We pleaded, threatened, prayed, tried tough love, tried anything and everything. Nothing we did changed the course she chose. We were part of the lucky ones whose child finally chose a healthy life before something very bad happened. But we know how close we were to things going very wrong. I feel for these families and keep them in my prayers.
I fully understand you wholeheartedly but you were a family involved trying to lead them the right path but some families give up and then cry when they see what went wrong. Let's not forget, savanna's brother at an early age of (15) was also killed, also drug related. Savannah went that path also whether was due to her bf or not, it was a tragedy that MAYBE could have been a voided. Can't throw stones, too late, but let's think for one moment who paid the price..Innocent baby Fabian!!!

I’m from San Antonio and I can tell you that our police force does not play. I wholeheartedly believe that they already know who the suspects are and are building the case, while weeding through the red tape. They do everything by the book when it comes to investigations. Also, it’s VERY common in their investigations to release a bread crumb of footage to the public to get the community talking. The thing to know about San Antonio is that we may be a major city but our community is legit small town vibes. I’ve already heard rumors through the grapevine from degrees of separation from the families on the why.
No matter what a person does... blame and finger pointing gets society nowhere. We have no idea what these young ppl were going through and what lead them to their choices, and what kept them there. Sometimes bad choices are made with good intentions. Grace and love is what is needed during these times. Please keep the real issue in mind... 3 lives were ended. Families have been damaged. They all need our love and prayers.
I was very much impressed the way the SAPD handled the whole situation. They knew there were other suspects but didn't want to jeopardize the case. They were discreet, answered the public questions and were respectful to everybody involved in the case. Grieving families we understand but they could have helped by guiding these kids the right way!!
I believe the guy in the truck was taking Matthews phone to get rid if it. He'd already grabbed the car door & handled the door again before he went back to get into his truck. He looked more like he was looking at something before grabbing the towel that was thrown over from his passenger. Maybe I'm blind but i didn't see any wiping action to clean prints. But that's just me...
And the father said, they are waiting for a search warrant to go through their phones. Sounds like police have their phones. And it was a pillowcase that came out of that truck and that the big guy put the weapon in.
It didn’t really look like he was trying wipe down the car (didn’t do a good job/not enough time), so the pillowcase/weapon idea sounds like a possibility.
Was the family aware of who Mathew was working for? Are the family members in danger if they know to much? It’s a shame that when her brother was Un alived that they did not take that as a warning

I’m from Detroit. Lots of gangs and my husband was one of them served ten years prison time before changing his lifestyle. Real gangs or gangs that are more organized have cleanup guys. Sounds crazy to some but they do have people that go clean their mess up or will show up to help with cleanup. I think the person driving and the guy and person in pickup are cleanup people. That rag probably has bleach or chemicals on it and they had certain areas they wanted to wipe down. I think it’s a matter of time before they find them but could also be a dead end because that person might just have an excuse as to why they gave someone a towel and hard to believe if that affiliated with the gang that they would tell because they will know the same will happen to them if they do. Praying for a quick arrest. Such a sad case
