iron man 2 was kick ass...i dont know why people say its not as good, spiderman 2 was twice as better as the first one too, and it got not that good ratings, people need to their head out of their ass and actually watch the movie -____-
For those who don't know, IronMan2 actually followed the comics very well. If you read the comics for iron man, you'd understand how well it follows the comics. Sure the first one was a better pop culture introduction to people who weren't familiar and for those who were familiar with the series. But the second one was more of a comic fan's movie, than for people who were fans of the first movie. Plus, Tony had a alchohol problem in comics. He's also extremely cocky in the comics dude..
Did you stay till the end of the credits of Iron Man 2? There was a easter egg... And it segways one of those major avengers members you were talking about.
@xNarutoFreak No they are making a separate movie just for Thor (who is a marvel hero). They are just setting up for an avengers movie. With Iron Man, The Hulk, the Thor movie, and the Captain America movie.
At the end of Iron Man 2, during the credits, They showed government people checking out a crater and in the crater was a war hammer super similar to THOR'S HAMMER
they actually did explain wat he was doing for 6 months or so. when the 'credits' are popping up at the beginning all those newspapers on the wall were explaining wat he was doing.
Phil, i dont know if you saw this or not but after the credits they showed a part hinting at Thor...so i dont know if their going to make a Thor movie of if he will be part of The Avengers.
Like everyone else is saying, they do have an extra scene with Thor's hammer after the credits. Also, both Thor and Captain America are getting movies in 2011, with the Avengers movies bringing everyone together in 2012.
i really agree with you and the dissapointment of the climaxes. Also i noticed in the middle of the movie, there was a long period of down time, and everyonce and a while you'd have a little proxy part of the rising action, did you sense that?
Phil, think about this: if they throw all of the main villains in these movies what would be left for the next bigger movies like Avengers? and according to my sources the next Marvel movies are: Thor (May, 6th, 2011), Captain America (July, 22nd, 2011) and The Avengers (May, 4th 2012)
From what i heard, they are redoing the Spiderman series. Thor, Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man, Ant Man, and possibly Wolverine is the current cast for the possible Avengers movie.
@Brookscjs True but for some reason they went with the ULTIMATE version of Fury from the comics and the animated movies. Dunno maybe people prefer this version.
DSP, at the end of Iron Man 2 (after all the credits), the agent who gets reassigned to New Mexico pulls up in a car in the middle of the desert, and gets out to see a huge hole in the ground with workers around it. The camera cuts to a shot of Thor's hammer and the agent, and he says, "Sir, we found it." That kinda gives away that its Thor next.
I don't think DSP stayed until after the credits to watch the other clip about the avengers initiative.... Btw, I think the rights to make Spiderman and X-men movies were sold by Marvel (not sure if for a period of time or if its permanent), so they wont be in the avengers. Looks like it will be ironman, cap, thor, hulk, black widow and maybe another supporting character that they will introduce in the movie like hawkeye.
I enjoyed your "thoughts" vid, DSP. Keep it up. I don't know if you wanted to mention the scene after the credits or if you even saw it but for anyone else who hasn't seen it, check it out...it's a hint to possibly the next marvel movie that comes out.
At the end of Iron man 1 they mention the avengers. In Hulk Tony Stark they talked about Hulk. Thor is coming next year, Captain America a few months after. Very exciting. Avengers in 2012, get hyped.
after the credits there was another ending that the one guy that leaves tony at his house saying he has other business apears lookingat a creater and theres some wierd thing that looked like a sword hilt
After the credits, it shows this archeologic dig, and some guy finds Thor's hammer, so if they're not hinting at an avengers movie, I don't know what they're planning.
Isn't New Mexico where the Hulk was born and also where he first met the Avengers in the desert after hearing from Rick Jones? I need some Namor, Bucky, and Ant Man to make appearances (especially Bucky in Captain America, he's my favorite out of them).
I have not watched this video yet because I have not seen the Movie, but I just want to know if this will spoil the movie for me or not. Please PM me back cuz i heard it was a good movie and I don't want it to be spoiled.
If u wait until the end of iron man 2's credits it shows u a clip of the agent who was sent to new mexico. Where they have found Thor's hammer in a huge crater... I heard there's supposed to be a Thor movie next year and then the avengers movie after.
Robert Downey Jr was interviewed by Howard stern a couple days ago and Downey Jr said hes signed on for two more movies The Avengers and Iron man 3. I don't know what order they are debuting but it will be interesting. Also someone probably already said this but they have thor's hammer in a scene at the end of the credits.
Remember that guy that said he was reassigned to New Mexico? If you stayed after the credits, you see him finding Thor's hammer, which you even mentioned here.
thor movie was much the cameo appearance in the last part of the movie. so yea in a way he did say about the avengers initiative. all the latest marvel movies have avengers hints, but i really hope that the mandarin would be in the 3rd movie. like the final movie trilogy that would be cool
10 $ for a movie might be expensive, but think about countries in Eastern EU where a ticket costs 5 or 6 $ for a normal movie and around 8 $ but the minimum salary per month is around 300 $ and an average one around 500 $... how is that for expensive movie ticket?
hey phil didnt you see the part after the credits where they find thors hammer which pretty much confirms that there will be a thor movie theres also an imdb page for the thor film i thinks its gonna be released in 2012
I don't really know if this was important for Phil to say, but (spoiler alert) should he have mentioned Tony Stark dieing or the creation of 'New Element'?
Missed out on the Mjolnir at the end of the credits. Shit was dope. Also Marvel studios said they are officially making a Thor movie, then a capt. america movie, then bringing everyone together (Iron-man, Hulk [maybe], Capt A, and Thor) for an Avengers movie.
I do agree on the classic villains. That's why I liked Mandarin so much, it was mysticism vs technology so Whiplash was kind of a let down when he was announced. My only real beef with Iron Man, since I thought it was a good modern adaptation, was Tony revealing he was Iron Man. Stark Ind. was feared by villains because they thought Iron Man was Tony's personal robot body guard. So him making this huge announcement was a let down to me.
According to Wikipedia, there's a Captain America and Thor movies that have been planned for 2011, and an Avengers movie for 2012 I think. So we'll see what happens. That was a good review though.
I agree a lot with the Phil, the action might've been more interesting if they included more bad-guy fighting. However...all the villains up to this point WERE classic villains FOR Iron Man. The Iron Monger, the first villain in Iron Man 1, was a classic villain, as was Blacklash/Whiplash, who's been with Iron Man in the comics from the beginning. The next villain they might put in is the Mandarin, so...it's not quite fair to say that they hadn't put in classic villains.
Phil, you should've stayed until after the credits. They had put another little teaser in with the agent guy in New Mexico, calling Fury saying "We found it." Then the camera panned down to see the hammer of Thor.
Problem I found with Samuel L. Jackson is that he didn't act like a smooth subtle super spy which is Nick Fury, but acted exactly like Jules Winnfield from Pulp Fiction with an eye patch. I was half expecting to start telling Tony start , " Say WHAT AGAIN!"
@TheNinjaDroid - Yep, Chris Hemsworth is playing Thor and Captain America might be coming out in 2 years. But i really think Spider-Man could play a good role in the avengers even though he wasn't ever a part of the original avengers team.
Whiplash was a completely viable villian in the film. He fit perfectly into the storyline and his motives throughout the film are justified adequadetly by the backstory of him being the son of Iron Man's father's old business partner, disgraced Russian physicist Anton Vanko, who collaborated on the first arc reactor and passed the technology on following his death. Wiplash blames Tony and Howard Stark for Anton's fate.
DSP, If you stayed after all the credits, there was a quick scene where you see thors hammer and a huge crater, hinting towards there being a thor movie. also, if you look on one of tony starks computer screens you can see the Hulk, also one of the avngers.
@hotneo7 nah i mean the whole point of the story iron man is the suit. so why wouldnt the bad guy have a suit. and besides that everything else is different
I pretty much agree. Hammer was over the top. But I thought you'd mention that Whiplash's opening lines in the movie are some horrendous, inadvertantly funny primal screams. FYI, the post-credits scene does reference an upcoming Thor project.
I think they are going to do the Avengers next, honestly. Maybe Captain America first, but then the Avengers. Only because, sadly, Hawkeye and Thor might not be able to draw the same audiences that go to these movies. You can argue that of course, but they aren't as big of cultural phenoms as the other Marvel heroes they have already made movies about. And they could introduce them in the movie very easily.
@tomatoesofdoom They replaced him because Favreau and Paramount weren't pleased with Howards performance. He wouldn't cooperate well on set and was demanding a LOT of money, he even earned more than Downey on the last film for his small role.
I like how he talks about how they should have put in Iron Man's main villains, but he doesn't name any...
iron man 2 was kick ass...i dont know why people say its not as good, spiderman 2 was twice as better as the first one too, and it got not that good ratings, people need to their head out of their ass and actually watch the movie -____-
Just one question: which villain wud u like to see? Mandarin? or Crimson Dynamo? I mean, I don't know Iron Man's villains that well so just curious
They also show i guess the unfinished prototype sheild for cap America and also should Ivan Vanko should be Crimson Dynamo instead of whiplash?
Its strange but he actually got all the characters right
Sam Rockwell plays Hammer...he was in a lot of movies but my favorite with him in it is a movie called Moon. Also great review man.
The main question is, knowing what you know now, would you go to the movies and watch this or wait a couple of months for DVD release?
@PastaCheifFilms The first Ac/dc song was shot to thrill, followed by highway ti hell.
For those who don't know,
IronMan2 actually followed the comics very well.
He's also extremely cocky in the comics dude..
so captain america and thor are coming out which adds to the avengers team. so those are 3 characters so far. who are the rest?
Finally a movie review...I remember you bring this up a long time ago...Its great that you have done one now...You should do more...Good shit
did you stay after the credits. thor is set to release next summer. its being filmed now.
great review but one question who is a major villain to iron man
at the ending of the cedits (i mean ending of the whole entire movie) they made a hint about Thor.... sorry for the spoiler alert...
Are you gonna see the new Nightmare on Elm Street,The add's are looking very promising
@wtfitzmike Trust me dude, that wasn't no sword. It was THORS HAMMER! Thats why before the screen went black there was a lighting bolt sound

@JnDfilmz yea they even announced a marvel thor movie comming out but i cant remember were i saw it.
nice vid dsp! you should DEFINTELY do more of these reviews in the future!
Like everyone else is saying, they do have an extra scene with Thor's hammer after the credits.
Also, both Thor and Captain America are getting movies in 2011, with the Avengers movies bringing everyone together in 2012.
i really agree with you and the dissapointment of the climaxes. Also i noticed in the middle of the movie, there was a long period of down time, and everyonce and a while you'd have a little proxy part of the rising action, did you sense that?
did you see the thor thing at the end of the credits?
What about the after credits where it looks like Cloud Strife's freakin sword in the dirt?
Was that supposed to be Thor's hammer?
Phil, think about this: if they throw all of the main villains in these movies what would be left for the next bigger movies like Avengers?
and according to my sources the next Marvel movies are: Thor (May, 6th, 2011), Captain America (July, 22nd, 2011) and The Avengers (May, 4th 2012)
From what i heard, they are redoing the Spiderman series. Thor, Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man, Ant Man, and possibly Wolverine is the current cast for the possible Avengers movie.
Did you like it better than the first one?
They are making Captain America and Thor (separate) movies due to be released in 2011 & 2012 I believe
did u c after the credits?
@Brookscjs
True but for some reason they went with the ULTIMATE version of Fury from the comics and the animated movies. Dunno maybe people prefer this version.
Phil- Did you stay after the credits? ;)
DSP, at the end of Iron Man 2 (after all the credits), the agent who gets reassigned to New Mexico pulls up in a car in the middle of the desert, and gets out to see a huge hole in the ground with workers around it. The camera cuts to a shot of Thor's hammer and the agent, and he says, "Sir, we found it."
That kinda gives away that its Thor next.
Didny u watch the bit after the credits ? Does anyone know if that was Thor's hammer ?
Phil did you watch after the credits? Thor's hammer
I don't think DSP stayed until after the credits to watch the other clip about the avengers initiative....
Btw, I think the rights to make Spiderman and X-men movies were sold by Marvel (not sure if for a period of time or if its permanent), so they wont be in the avengers. Hammer hammed it up?
I enjoyed your "thoughts" vid, DSP. Keep it up. I don't know if you wanted to mention the scene after the credits or if you even saw it but for anyone else who hasn't seen it, check it out...it's a hint to possibly the next marvel movie that comes out.
when did they show captain americans shield? i say the movie and i dont remember seein it
Did you stay after the credits? They had a Thor easter egg Phil. Just google it or youtube it.
@DSP - there is dude. Thor is next year, Captain America is 2012 and The Avengers in 2013 (also will be directed by John Favreu)
@Wulf96 you said it was in all caps wat happen to that "h" about the misspelled life
actually, DSP, if you watched until the end of credits, they show some crater in like Mew Mexico, and in the center of the crater is Thor's Hammer.
At the end of Iron man 1 they mention the avengers. In Hulk Tony Stark they talked about Hulk. Thor is coming next year, Captain America a few months after. Very exciting. Avengers in 2012, get hyped.

did you stay until after the credits. they hint at a big character of the avengers.
Hey DSP did you know that Josh Wheeden the guy who did buffy the vampire slayer is directing the avengers movie? Just letting you know.
@djchozen91
He's not just a random side villain that was thrown in. There is major emotional attachment and i felt that throughout the film.
@shortshot14 Who is Thor, the next movie should be interesting though.
Isn't New Mexico where the Hulk was born and also where he first met the Avengers in the desert after hearing from Rick Jones? I need some Namor, Bucky, and Ant Man to make appearances (especially Bucky in Captain America, he's my favorite out of them).
what are the classic ironman villins?
I have not watched this video yet because I have not seen the Movie, but I just want to know if this will spoil the movie for me or not.
Please PM me back cuz i heard it was a good movie and I don't want it to be spoiled.

100% agree with you. The movie was awesome, but theres nothing I can spoil that nobody has already seen in the trailers and commercials.
@kfizz Sorry the 3rd movie is the avengers.
Good review. I would't mind more of these movie reviews.
I am very interested of what you think about Avatar
They say DJ AM is in the movie.
Did you see him?
Remember that guy that said he was reassigned to New Mexico? If you stayed after the credits, you see him finding Thor's hammer, which you even mentioned here.

@AguyUsingTubeyou thank you sombody else stayed after the credits!!!!

They showed a tiny clip after the credits where that SHIELD agent finds Thor (well his hammer) in New Mexico. Can't wait till the Avengers movie.
3:49 the second guy looks like the guy who gets possesed by the dog demon in Ghostbusters. What was his name?
who is ironman's real main enemy? hes like the only superhero i dont know
that movie was awesome but i did'nt bother to see the hammer at the end knowing that there would'nt be one up there so i left the theater.
hey phil didnt you see the part after the credits where they find thors hammer which pretty much confirms that there will be a thor movie
theres also an imdb page for the thor film i thinks its gonna be released in 2012
@darksydephil : Did u watch after the end credits?? THOR WILL BE IN THE MOVIES
I don't really know if this was important for Phil to say, but (spoiler alert) should he have mentioned Tony Stark dieing or the creation of 'New Element'?
what does he mean by "introduce these characters"?
Missed out on the Mjolnir at the end of the credits. Shit was dope. Also Marvel studios said they are officially making a Thor movie, then a capt. america movie, then bringing everyone together (Iron-man, Hulk [maybe], Capt A, and Thor) for an Avengers movie.

@conkersbestfriend Oh yeah is that happening in the next few years? I completely forgot
there was a clip after the credits hinting at Thor
its 6 dollars for the morning in NJ, and the food does cost a lot in the theaters!!!!
Phil, you should've stayed until after the credits. They had put another little teaser in with the agent guy in New Mexico, calling Fury saying "We found it." Then the camera panned down to see the hammer of Thor.

Thor was hinted at in the aftercredits scene.
Oh, and I think the Hammer guy was Mike Meyers.
I like that DSP is expanding his videos a lot I hope he keeps it up
At the end after the credits theres a Thor trailer thing
They going make Thoir movie. In the end of the movie they showed Thoir's hammer in new Mexico.
@TheNinjaDroid - Yep, Chris Hemsworth is playing Thor and Captain America might be coming out in 2 years.
But i really think Spider-Man could play a good role in the avengers even though he wasn't ever a part of the original avengers team.
Ironman, Cap and Thor against the Hulk will be sick, can't wait for that Avengers movie!
same here i went at 10:45 Odysse sorry i dont know how to spell it over at crown theaters

there still movies coming out the advengers green lanturn, captian americas justice leuge
