My husband was killed by a drunk driver who managed to get off without consequences on a technicality because he was rich enough to hire 3 high-powered attorneys. While my family was destroyed this man is now driving around in his new Mercedes, while my husband is in the Cemetary he gets to go on with his life as tho nothing happened. We waited four years to finally receive a settlement that was so little it’s like adding insult to injury. His kids had to split less money than the lawyer got. None of this is fair. “Justice” is often the interests of the richer & the stronger. All we can do is hope that karma catches up with that murderer.

You know I think you’re onto something tho I don’t think it’s stupidity. When I was in business school, one professor hammered into us that social scientists can measure the decrease in somebody’s ability to read emotions on another person‘s face when they start to become exceedingly rich. It’s a kind of learned sociopathy or some sort of thing that happens in the brain. They’re not sure why it happens but with wealthy people the more wealthy they become the more their brain is unable to process other humans emotions, which is honestly really sad because they lose the ability to connect with other people and really reality as a whole cause they can no longer experience the reality that other people experience, and their own experiences become everyone elses reality.
I believe youre touching on something i have been thinking about for a while in that with TikTok X etc. that’s something similar happens with narcissism. When people get too much positive attention they start this learned narcissism, and mix that with making a bunch of money from social media and you have this normal person that becomes a sociopathic narcissist. Social media doesn’t attract sociopathic narcissists, it makes them.

Agree with you on what her term should be. I've been hit enough times that I'm terrified to drive. I haven't been seriously injured, but the accidents were so scary that now I don't even want to go anywhere. I used to love road trips, now I don't even want to go 20 minutes away from home. I don't have medical insurance, so if I got hurt, it would be devastating to my family, one can lose everything to medical bills. And I'm one of the LUCKY people, because I'm not injured!! I wish driving were taken more seriously.
My Grandfather and Dad were t-boned at a Hwy intersection when I was 8.
Their truck rolled multiple times throwing my Grandpa out the back window. He died at the hospital.
The guy that hit them committed suicide a few years after.
I wish people would take driving seriously. I live in the country and when I go to the town 20 minutes from my home everyone speeds. You are forced to drive over the speed limits to avoid getting hit. Cops are too busy with the rising crimes and drug trafficking to care.
Luckily the town in the opposite direction where I work is still more rural and slow paced.

You trust the person who sold it to you, but do you trust whoever sold it to them? Unless you're testing samples, you can't be certain what you have, and 99.9% of people don't do that

I was T-boned years ago and as soon as I realized what had happened I got out of the car, called my mom and walked out into the intersection! A man had to come get me lol Then I realized I should go to check on the other driver and call 911. I felt really selfish at the time for not calling 911 first but truly I was in shock. My next memory was of my fiancé arriving and I know he was 30 minutes away at work. I’ve never recovered those 30 minutes and do not, to this day, remember if I actually ever called 911 or if someone else did it.
Due to that I tend to give car crash survivors just a little bit of leeway in moments after a crash. Just due to my own experience 🤷♀️

Get away from danger ". Ironically enough I also went to the ground after some distance and once I got up and situation was clearer went back to the crash area. Now add a hallucinogen on top of it....

My friend was killed by a drunk driver who was at the time banned from driving, the license she had taken away was a uk provisional license, gaving never passed her driving test. She was driving at double the speed limit. She got 11 months
