I started making sourdough bread a few months ago. I followed Farmhouse on Boone's recipe for the bread and sourdough starter. I like Lisa's recipe for the sourdough starter since I don't have to measure anything, it's just by feel. I also make sourdough English muffins. They are so much better than the store brand. Great haul. 😊

For Sourdough bread making I highly recommend Lisa from Farmhouse On Boone!

She also has a great sourdough bagel recipe. Starting a starter is not hard at all some people online make it seem more complicated than it is.

Melissa k Norris book handmade, taught me how to make sourdough what to use discard with and a lot of other things to make from scratch. Heard about it from Becca bristow youtube channel, I’ll never let that book go so much knowledge on making things from scratch. Excited to hear about your sourdough journey 🥰

Love the dip/lunch idea! Have you tried the “Jennifer Aniston” salad?? I’ve been making batches of that for lunch and it’s SO good (quinoa, chickpeas, red onion, cucumber, feta, mint, with sauce)!

If you use flour tortillas instead of corn with your gravy then it is a wet burrito 😁

How fun! I love these videos!
So I’ve made sourdough in the past and followed Mary’s no fuss recipe and the bread was always delicious! I’ve stopped making it only because I have a wheat sensitivity (not gluten intolerant) but here’s her short video, I highly recommend it!

Also, I use my crock pot to cook my legumes; pinto, black beans or lentils. I’m Mexican so legumes are a huge staple in my home! & in my humble opinion they are much tastier and have less sodium, I encourage you to try it! You just add the dry beans/lentil, water and salt, then let them cook on low for 6 hours or so ❤ you’ll taste the difference! You can divide a large batch and freeze into ziplocks or reusable food storage bags to defrost later as you need them :)
Something I really like to buy from Trader Joe’s are their turkey burger patties! They have two ingredients, turkey and rosemary (if I remember correctly) and they’re more cost effective there than at other grocery stores, at least in my experience.

I make sourdough bread, and it was always my dad that made it my whole life. My mom baked bread too, but not sourdough

Everyone does sourdough differently, so my biggest advice would be to find one method and stick with that until you get comfortable so you don’t get confused. There are a lot of opinions that it could be very overwhelming although it doesn’t have to be!! Definitely the best decision I made for my family.
