Love this car, just recently traded mine in for a new Fabia. Had a Citigo for 4 years, excellent car but a shame it’s discontinued now

I had a new Citigo, greentech 75bhp version. Had knocking brakes within a week. Great car but by the time Skoda UK were involved after being messed about by a dealer I had traded it in. Shame as it was a decent car overall. I drive a 65 plate Subaru now simply for the solid reliability and grip in poor weather.

Shame about the poor dealer service with the Citigo, Subaru's a solid choice though. I've seen a lot in mountainous rural areas, testament to their capability.

So you trade in a decent car just because the dealer has shit service? Most likely a very simple problem aswell, as not much is complex at all on these cars.

@chongy9895 The more people I talk to, the more they recommend good independent garages over inadequate main dealers. Think that's the way to go now.

How is the ride in the Citigo? Looks a little bumpy

It's not bad for a city car. This one is the GreenTech with lowered suspension vs the regular models so the ride is a bit bumpier, but it doesn't lean as much around corners. Not great over speed bumps as it's quite low and narrow, but it feels more stable at motorway speeds than some similar sized cars I've driven.

Still got the VW but it's in for an airbag fault at the moment so been borrowing my parents' Citigo this week. Seems like they've addressed most of the niggles people had with the facelift, although I would miss the colour coded interior in the up!

@@AndyT001 Things like colour-coded interiors (or lack of) is the reason why the Skoda version is cheaper. I have a Citigo and I don't need things like that. Just a decent car at a decent price that will get there and won't cost a fortune to run. And so far (nearly two years) it has fulfilled that requirement perfectly.

Fair comment, I can't deny the Skoda is better value and has some more practical features with extra storage pockets on the seats, ticket holder, umbrella under the passenger seat etc. Glad you like yours.

how tf did this car shamelessly copy vw up this much damn

Done on purpose to save costs, it is an economy car after all. Skoda is owned by VW group so why re design a full car.
