I finished all Lithuanian missions and achievements and reached last mission of the Polish campaign too. The story is continuous from the Lithuanian into the Polish campaign, one of the best made storylines in aoe2de
@@robchang4533 just select a villager and look for the shrine icon on the last row of the economic tab. Keep in mind this is only available once you receive the secondary objective for building shrines or monasteries
For people watching this. At 13:10 Ornlu wonders about building monasteries in pagan villages and shrines in Christian villages. The answer is: you can! You should build according to what you want; shrines for units and monasteries for res! Edit: nevermind he discovered it later 😂😂
I split the villages 50/50 and found the Christians pretty generous with the resources they give you, it was a fun little mechanic to kick the campaign off.
Emperor of the holy roman empire after the teutonic raiders got defeated: "You were the chosen one! You were meant to bring Christianity to Lithuania, not destroy it!"
I just finished this scenario myself 😀 It feels so strange to be doing something new on aoe2, I didn't buy the Lords of the West until recently, so I watched the campaigns here... but for Dawn of the Dukes it's new territory for almost everyone right now 😊
This new campaigns really seem like they polished everything so they feel memorable and new like AoK or AoC campaigns. Also I’ve already watched twest's gameplays but I’ll watch yours because ✨Ornlu fan✨
the new campaigns are so well made, feels so unique, lots of different mechanics that arent that frequent in other scenarios and im loving them, 2 cav civs def help aswell since crushing everything with cav feels really fun
Come to think of it, what was the pre-Christian religion that the self-proclaimed saviors burned to ash? Gotta research. Hmmm I wonder if it was close to the Polish/Slavic beliefs
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lithuanian_mythology It's Baltic paganism, an Indoeuropean pagan religion. Yes it has some similarities with Slavic, Nordic and even Roman pre-christian religions. There is evidance that some Lithuanian peasants in remote villages still practiced paganism until mid 18th century. At the start of 20th century the faith was revived and is still practiced in Lithuania today by few thousands of people. So yes, the Crusaders failed to burn it to ash.
Lmao.. I just finished Jadwiga and realized Kestutis is the father of Vytautas whom you fight against as Jogaila... Talk about chronology. I'm pretty disappointed with Obuchs though.
You were lucky going in ascending difficulty order, for it is the same order as chronologically. The campaigns are interconnected to a large degree. Making them in order really enhances the whole story
Really enjoying the voice acting in the DLC. Very fun lines. Some of the writing is a bit mediocre though but otherwise it's been very cool and thematic.
I hope the devs either update the Eastern Europe map to better match Western Europe or just incorporate the DotD campaigns into the Europe map. Copying the Europe map just doesn't look good.
I've finished the first Žižka scenario, but this one seems more fun. You get no eco there and are constantly out of wood. You also get siege engineers and even capped ram in castle age. If you play it, don't bother going for the achievement, it's broken, probably until the next patch.
hi ornlufam, i installed the dawn of the dukes add-on. However, when i go to the campaigns the new dlc is not visible to me. I restarted my PC several times. Anyone has an idea what could be the issue. Maybe i have to uninstall all my custom campaigns?
For me getting those yellow allies made it easy. Before that Blue and Pink did cause some anxiety! Yellow pagans were awesome. Although the AI were instructed to not take out yellow buildings for some reason. Superbly designed scenario.
i just finish this mision...is sooo grinding..... i lost 200 hundred soldiers....why you prefer the ram to the troubuchet for siege ? i see a lot in pro age 2 players that things a civ missing the ram upgrapes it no a good siege civ...but all the civs have troubuchete...so why they are no considerers for siegeign ?
You can if you build your own shrines outside of the villages, they also benefit from the monk upgrades although you have to build a monastery to research them.

How can you built shrines?

It's really good that u did Lithuania first it leads right into poland
Voice over: "Powerful catapults"
Captions: "Powerful trebuchets"

This campaign basically lets you crush everything with heavy cavalry. The entirety is damn fun

I admittedly had way too much fun building a Shrine in my own town, and creating Priests instead of monks haha!
AoE2 needs to introduce the Swiss civilization so we can kill Burgundy.
You will conflict with Viper. He's started the same campaign. Will be bad for views i fear.
T west started it too.. and he uploaded 2 missions

New campaigns playthrough with Ornlu..........the most exciting SP contents after the DLC.
Poland is kicking my ass hard, I can't even complete the first mission. Ornlu heeelllppppp

I already finished them all hard my favourite was this campaign than the jan zizka and jadwiga
Do you know who designed which campaigns in this DLC pack?

You also totally forgot you could have traded with your brother instead of mining too
All of the new campaigns are good (hard)
I built half and half, I was flooded with so much money i didn't know what to do with it all . Really you can make do with like one or two

DON'T DO THAT YET INTILL YOU FIGURE OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM IS
These campaigns are pretty cool!
I feel like when i play this scenario i get attacked by Blue and Purp far more frequently
You have to liberate the vilages and make them yellow. That turns the tide.
or mine stone before getting to castle age, and build castles in their territory
"Anakin?" LOL 😆🤣😂
Finally! Testing campaign, testing units, etc. XD Ty
3:33 Giga chad
Please restart the intro if you change audio into it
I forgot that the DLC was released

Superbly designed scenario.
Lets see what is ahead of us

I am sad that you can't train priest in the shrines.
you can

Anakin? 😆😆
do you usually also boom when you play in multiplayer?
