Keep coming back to this performance - it's amazing. Takes me back to the first time I heard Mdou Moctar's music in a record shop in Montreal (Aux 33 Tours - what a place!) - stopped me in it's tracks. Bought the LP there and then - had to cart it all the way home on a plane to the UK. This performance though.. wow
Agadez region, Niger. This genre is called Tishoumaren, also Tuareg/desert rock. If you like this, check out Tinariwen as well! Huge influences from western rock/blues fused with the traditional music/scales/sensibilities of the Tuareg people of the Sahara, it's awesome
i hope that this collab gains a growing traction with time; listening to it was fucking awesome.
03:31 Gina brings it and Mdou goes overhanded. It gets even better from there. I had no idea I needed this video until I found it. Outstanding.
Love Mdou, love Gina. She actually wants to get involved with all these different styles. Like a true artist and open minded person. ✌🏼😎
Drummer is a killer.
Souleymane Ibrahim rocks! He's a friggin dynamo
@@YungStinkyWinky Didn't know the name. Thanks for the reference.

OMG this is amazing
Great jam ! Amazing ! And Gina she's great !
anyone else notice that this amazing jam is all fenders?
I’m sure Gibson didn’t. They seem to have no interest in new / young / unique talent.
Crossover that I could only dream about. Awesomeness
Incredible!
whoa. just outstanding. brings memories of John Cippolina, Jorma Kaukonen, and others in San Francisco 1967. only more so. my word.
merci Mdou💯👍
Holy crap!
Gina ❤️
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Amazing
What fuzz is Gina using?
Tough to see her board, but it looks similar to the setup she showed on the Baroness “That Pedal Show” episode.
💕
