Many years ago when I was strumming my guitar from a Beatles complete song book, this song was always catching my eye. I could not read music and I knew they had never recorded it, so it remained a mystery, fast forward to youtube and I realise what a great song I'd missed out on, if only they had recorded it! I think they gave the song to Billy j kramer, but the version here is not that one.

This was a Paul and john song if you compare this recording to Kramer and the Dakotas release it sounds even more like John is singing and the harmonies are Paul and George. Actually Paul wrote this, while the other Billy J song "Bad To Me" was written by John. These Bas Muys guys have got it wrong because they have "John" singing it rather than "Paul". There is a video of the real John singing "Bad To Me" on RUclips, but the Beatles never recorded "From A Window", but if they had Paul would have sung it.

This singer hasn't yet learnt what the Beatles seem to have learnt the very first day with George Martin: Don't slide your notes! Once you learn this, you can't unhear it when it happens. For example, I liked Sandie Shaw when I was a kid, but now I can't listen to her sliding into and out of every note.
