I agree with the Bishop. When people do not fill themselves with God and Godly behaviors, they lose themselves. Then, in an attempt to fill that void, people turn toward materialism and all its trappings. We are spiritual beings having an earthly experience. When man denies the spirituality in himself, he is certain to feel less than whole. Thank you Bishop for your words of wisdom, as well as your service to mankind.
@25judge28 We are not spiritual beings having an earthly experience. That view is condemned by the Church. We are formed from dust and to dust we shall return. But Christ will raise us on the last day! To deny that mankind is a spirit AND body composite is to deny the goodness of God's creation and ultimately the incarnation of Christ.
People think religion is boring because they don’t understand the interior life of the soul - the place where we truly live and act. That’s invisible to the casual observer.

As a life long Catholic, although I am no better than anyone, feel that we are God’s chosen people. It is our duty to carry on the word of the lord and also to carry the burden for all the non believers.
Most if not all people do hold some truths or moral values as absolutely true although they might not agree on what they are. No sane person would defend the right of an adult to inflict pain or death on a young child on a whim, arguing it is moral to do so and just your opinion if you disagree

@@jeremias-serus I NEVER said anything about "rebaptism". Where did I say he needed to be baptized a 2nd time? Bishop Barron, yipeee!!!! I thought it was just my personality but I have had the most awesome adventure getting to know my Lord and God. Even the dull moments are time for reflection and learning. If we let Him, He will take us to His heart where He holds all things. Nothing is wasted or discarded. He uses everything for the good of our souls and gives us the grace to endure. He gives us Himself in the Sacraments as fuel for the journey. Most of all no matter what happens, good or bad, it’s all out of love for us because He is love itself and he is never outdone in generosity. What a wonderful God we serve. Glory to God!!!❤❤❤
Listen to Bishop Baron closely. His deep training in Theology, Philosophy, Psychology, History and Communication always shines. A true Spiritual Shepard.
Why doesn't he just study the Bible then, no call for theology, psychology, history, it has no place in the Kingdom of God, the Bible is the complete God manual for life

Listen to this short clip. The Bishop begins by challenging The great German Philosopher Feuerbach who had a tremendous negative influence in Christianity. Influencing people like Karl Marx, Freud and Darwin.
The Bishop effectively challenges them all. He then goes on in this same clip to brilliantly quote St. Ignatius. Absolutely Brilliant.

Adventurous Yes! Now THAT’S what it means to be Catholic! Well said Bishop Barron!
@25judge28
We are not spiritual beings having an earthly experience. That view is condemned by the Church. We are formed from dust and to dust we shall return. But Christ will raise us on the last day!
To deny that mankind is a spirit AND body composite is to deny the goodness of God's creation and ultimately the incarnation of Christ.

Bishop Barron for Pope! Pray for him.
I absolutely appreciate my salvation.
Ephesians 2:8-9
8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God
9 not by works, so that no one can boast.

What we have today is an awful lot of people worshipping false Gods, power, money, sex, fame and they are still empty inside even if they achieve whatever they are looking for and because people reject God they have nothing to fall back on to put their life in order, there is nothing wrong with being wealthy or powerful or famous as long as it is used for the good

They have to as part of the process. Vatican sends someone/s to retrieve it and investigate and then testing. It’s a long process and can take years.
We had a priest where there were 4 bloodied hosts from weekend of Corpus Christi 2010, the other 3 through the years until a few years ago. Still no word from Rome.
They were all desecrated: in hymnals, or on the floor in the pew. All dissolved in water, but blood appeared.
I’m sure there’s more to it, but I think I stated the basics correctly from what I heard.
Thank you, Bishop Barron!
Russell!! The baptismal font is waiting...
He was baptized back in late April, but because it was in a river, it is believed that it was not done as a Catholic, but his wife is Catholic, he does the rosary, and seems to have a lot of interest in Catholic things. We should pray for him now that he has finally surrendered to Jesus.
@@emb5091 What? The Church does not do rebaptism. Assuming Russel was validly baptized (most Protestant groups do do valid baptisms), then Russel does not and will not be rebaptized. A valid baptism absolutely can be performed in a river. It's just that the Church traditionally mostly does infant baptism with a drop of water.
@@jeremias-serus I NEVER said anything about "rebaptism". Where did I say he needed to be baptized a 2nd time? I only stated that when he was baptized in the river, it was most likely not as a Catholic or by a Catholic priest....meaning it most likely was a different Christian denomination. And, I know that his baptism IS valid to the Catholic Church if he decides to become Catholic.
@@emb5091does the church havethe right to validate ones baptism? Or is that between the baptizee and The Lord?
@@James3-8it is not about having the right.
Baptism can be performed by anyone, even by a non Christian in an emergency situation.
The Catholic Church does not recognize certain "Christian" "sects" eg Mormon, and SDA due to their doctrines. Hence would not consider their baptism valid either as far as I know.
Life with God is a great adventure that provides a deep inner peace. Without God, life is pain and despair covered by the pursuit for validation from others. Both have been my experience. This was good. I cherish both men.
It’s best to be truthful and honest with God and stay away from mortal sin .I look at the Church as a Shepard guiding Shepards to love and show the ultimate respect and Humility for Him in the Blessed Eucharist.Kneel before the King of Kings .I think Jesus said my life is not of this world but the next .As the faith disappears then the dependence on drugs and false teaching take over .How many Catholics walked into a Church today even for 5 min
