That is so clever! It looks like something a high end jewelry artist created from sterling silver and turquoise. That tip of brushing the mold is brilliant. Well done!
Hi Ben… I first saw Julie (Pouring Your Heart Out) do this little guy and I’ve since done a couple myself… and your little fella certainly didn’t disappoint either!! Well done! ♥️♥️🇦🇺
He is amazing! That took a lot of patience and I would have skipped the brushing on of the silver but I know it wouldn't have been the same look. Gorgeous and thanks for sharing.
It came out beautiful!! The level issue is why I put a silicone mat on a tray or a sturdy flat movable surface and the mold on that so i can shim it if needed without any flexing of the mold.
Ben, this is amazing! I love this frog. You did a great, great job on him. Please get even a personal a/c in your studio. No need to get heat exhaustion, or worse yet, heat stroke over an art piece. You say, “Oh, Mom” like my kids do.😊
He turned out great! Love the detailed toes and the glitter in all those areas. The aluminum powder looks like solid metal. It’s obvious you took your time and were meticulous, I always appreciate an artist who does that.. because it shows. Good job!
Ive just subbed and you've mentioned about your work room being hot. What I'm curious about is, do these resins create or worsen any either pre-existing lung issues and or give you or some people lung issues? Because I'd LOVE to do these crafts but it might be worth investing into an air conditioner. Do others have suggestions? Many thanks in advance.
Hi Diana. One way to relieve pressure when de-moulding is to mix a little washing up liquid into water. Pull the mould away from the piece in a few places and massage the mould. The soapy liquid will release the mould from the casting. Be careful because it will be slippery and might pop out. Rinse the piece when out in cold water and the mould as well.
I loved it so much I made one the same thank you for the tip but I’ve done another one red and gold glitter black body I’m not as tidy as you but I love them
WOW that frog is absolutely gorgeous, I wish I had got a frog mould now, I have a seahorse and an octopus mould,, I wonder how they would look done with these colors,,, you done a great job on this little guy.Totaly Awesome. 🐸👍
thank you so much , a seahorse would be awesome , i am going to try other shapes too , i have a set of about 6 frogs now all different colours and love them all ,
@@artlessordinary Well I don't blame you your frogs look absolutely gorgeous I have large octopuss moulds that I tryed using Lets Resin chameleon flakes and it turned out gorgeous,, like colored metal I've seen people using these flakes but nearly use the whole pot,,which you don't need to use alot of,,if using sparingly,,, I use the lid of the pot and put just enough in the lid and use the soft brush that it came with ,, and they turned out perfect every time,, infact your frogs would look amazing done this way too with these flakes with a black bass,,,same with the Lets Resin brands of chameleon powders which are not as strong and vibrant as the flakes,, I have all lets resin brands glow in the dark and glitters,, I love experimenting. Have a great week happy crafting.🐙🦋🐸🐊🐢👾
@@Tiger804 sounds awesome , i didn't get the lizard one but would like to try it , the snail was hard as it was so small to get good detail , i am sure yours will looks wonderful and your amber sounds great colour , have a great weekend too and let me know how they turn out :)
@@artlessordinary I will let you know,, the snailwas a big disappointment for being too small ,but I did 4 last one I done turned out perfect the other 3 eye stalks broke in the mould,, have to get the bigger one,, but the baby snails can be used in a little diorama, too bulky for a necklace even earrings,,, but can be put in an egg with that dried moss and tiny shells that can be painted with mica and mabey leaves or a branch or two.even tryed to make clear eye stalks very fiddly.but they all looks beautiful one had purple seed beads with glow in the dark pink in the center of the purple beads its just some of the eye stalks don't know the proper name of them,,,have a great weekend, and take care.🐸🐊🐌❤
@@artlessordinary Hi unfortunate I had to throw my frog and lizard away it came out very sticky ad tacky, he looked beautiful its just the bass,, I tryed everything to save it, and hated having to get rid of the frog and lizard that I wrapped in baking foil and put in the bin,,it just wasn't going to cure,,, such a shame really he would have had black legs and toes with amber on his toes. I realy disappointed in myself,, it was hot here,so don't know what the cause was,,, as I mixed up equally. Just to let you know all gone,, washed moulds with Isopropyl alcohol and a babywipe, and then soapy water. You inspired me to try, so I'm going to try a test with uv resin,,, in old but same size mould bit curing in layers as ive a 3D printer lamp that's very powerful just to let you know what happened🐸

Looks like turquoise set in silver. Nice result!
Gorgeous!
thanks so much cathy :)
Just found your channel, love the frog, i use black mica or paint, when i have dusted my molds, i find the colours pop more
looks like real metal
Absolutely beautiful 😍 love it. How do you manage to stop the glitter from sinking please 🙏
Every time I do a frog when unmolding the toes break off. Do you know what I can do to prevent that
only thing i can think of is leaving it to harden more or de-mold it a different way , i have not had that happen yet

Beautiful
thank you so much
😱 Looks like a piece of jewelry!😍
Newby subscriber here,👋. Definitely the best frog I've seen, from this mold, so far! Hands down.
That is beautiful!
Looks really cool!
great job but why are you not wearing a mask
Do you have to dust the mold with silver mica if you pour resin with silver in it? It turned out really pretty 😊
thanks , if you mix the silver with the resin you get a different effect to get the real shinny metal look you need to dust the mold with it
beautiful' i will have to try that method!
thank you so much for watching keith :)
Where did you get the metallic powder?

You have too much liquid in the cup to pour with a tight spout!
Your head's in the way
Thought it was metal with resin top
