Hey man. Love your videos I’m a new pally tank. 481 ilevel 2.8 k io. With that ilevel I’m so far behind what keys your running ! Any advice for someone my level. Running 20 easy. Timing 21/22s
Hi Ethan. It is very general question you are asking 'how to get better'. Usualy these things take time with playing but of course there are things that help if are done right.
For me, UI is very important, what works for me is having everything very centered oriented because you don't have to move your eyes a lot and get distracted from your character. You can see my Weak auras in the center is where I track my CDs and spells. Party frames are also very close to it. Weak auras for M+ too, etc.
Sometimes we keep things we don't really look at and its only distracting us so working on your UI is quite important. Make it the way it works for you! Because for some other people it may not, everyone is different.
2nd good thing is make sure you play with a good nameplates for the adds. I play with plater, customized quite a lot by me. I change colours of the mobs for example mobs that are casting spells (pink) mobs with frontals (blue) special mobs, important mobs, etc. This way when you pull a lot, it is easier for you to find the correct mob to interrupt or stun, stuff like that. If you have all one colour - it is very hard for me to find anything in a big pull.
3rd thing is learn what mobs do, their timings, important mobs to die first, etc.
4th thing as a tank is not overuse ur defensives. Pressing 2 defensives when you can only tank it with 1 is a waste that you might regret later. You need to learn what to use first, priority defensives, rotation, etc. For example Wings > Eye of Tyr > King > Divine shield
