I was introduced to Powwow/Braucherei called "Using" in the Carolinas in 1974 while doing folklore fieldwork at the University of South Carolina. My contact was a Powwow/Hexenmeister named Lee Raus Gandee then of Lexington, S.C. Later I learned that my own German maternal great grandfather was a Powwow in western North Carolina who worked exclusively on animals and was well-known for his abilities. As a result, my study became my passion and has carried me into learning and healing and Spirit work. I am delighted to find you.
