Seeing the penitent one ascend to the equivalent of heaven and finally be relieved of his penance while seeing everyone he helped along the way is such a heartwarming ending to an otherwise bleak and depressing game.

I don t think this is was an action of the miracle, the penitent is taken somewhere else by the angels, away from the influence of the miracle because in the other ending the Penitent is merged with the incarnation of devotion, and that is probably the will of the miracle. The fact that the Penitent One was resurrected again. Also the fact that the Penitent One was always revived even when fighting the Miracle. This heavenly place above the Processions. This all makes me think that there is a higher supreme deity. Higher even than the High Wills who aided the Penitent One.
It seems that the games are partially based on the doctrine of Gnosticism, with the High Wills and Miracle as analog to Yaldabaoth/the Demiurge, and the Anunciada as Sofia.
@@NIHIL_EGO Just as Deogracias was the Miracle's messenger in the first game, it seems to me like Anunciada was sent directly by the Miracle from on high to help the Penitent One stop the birth of the Devotion Incarnate. What makes me kinda feel suspicious about this ending is why the three visages were in heaven too since they're literary High Wills' servants and they tortured and demonized their fourth brother as the traitor since he know High Wills' true nature as uncaring, malevolent god?
There's nothing suspicious here, the dream is holy and older than the Miracle and by extension, the High Wills, and where the Penitent is lifted up to, is a kingdom that's higher than the dream, so it's most likely the place the Anunciada talked about, which would mean that this is technically a True Heaven, beyond time and space, and if this is the canon ending, then the Penitent, now freed from his Penitence, is and will now be together with every single being he was guided by in his journey, in a place that's neither at the beginning, middle, or end of time, for all of eternity. Which leaves Crisanta, where there will probably be a DLC just for her, where she will eventually get into that kingdom as well with the guide of the Penitent now turned Saint, either that or it's a plot twist.

i think in blasphemous 2 i prefer ending B because the Miracle works in mysterious ways and can never really ve erased (in my opinion) besides this ending is way too much of a happy one
I'm not too keen on this ending. Something feels off, like too good to be true. My interpretation of the story is that the Miracle, in its divinity, can't bring himself to comprehend the material world; same way we can't comprehend its will. It is always trying to manifest itself, but for each good deed, there is always a gruesome involuntary catch (like the long awaited child who's then born deformed and with a black wing). That's why it is always trying to produce an offspring, but every attempt is more grotesque than the previous one. So having the Penitent ascend in the end is no different than all those miracles... For there is always a catch.
Question: Am I the only one who calls bullshit on this ending? I expect expansions andDLC will reveal that the Penitent One was tricked by the floating lady into a prison so the miracle could be left alone from his power.
Why? High Will itself said that the dream realm existed before it, it's just that High Will has the most influence in it. the Penitent one and Crisanta has killed the High Will and the Penitent one has killed Incarnate Devotion, this has removed all of High Will and Miracle's influence over Dream Realm, and through those dreamed kingdoms exist the canvas of light and time, where all of his friends exist.
@@hainguyn948 Thing is, we thought the High Wills created all this malformation and monsters yet even after they were killed, we wake to more monsters and beasts, implying there are bigger forces at play here.
