- ToolScouter gave us all a challenge to build a Workbench Caddy. I actually built a Workbench Caddy for ScoutCrafter’s Tool Tote Challenge in 2021, but over these years, I realize there are some more tools and supplies that I often need to go get, because they are not on my workbench. This is the perfect time to update my Workbench Caddy for ToolScouter’s challenge to include all the items that I need to add.
By only adding 2” to the width of my caddy, I’m able to add space for so much more.
Here are several tools and supplies that I have in my caddy. Links are on my associate account:
Flitz Metal Polish and Cleaner Paste, 1.76 OZ: amzn.to/3TRH0W7
Flitz Metal Polish and Cleaner Liquid, 3.4 OZ: amzn.to/4eHDB49
Gator MicroZip Sanding Kit - 3 Grits: amzn.to/4dnWKY5
Similar to Gator MicroZip - 2 Sanders & 7 Grits: amzn.to/3BjC1Hl
6 Inch Stainless Steel Non-Slip Rulers (3 pc): amzn.to/3TuirgA
Black & decker Workmate Workbench: amzn.to/3lmiLlb
E6000 Glue, 3.7 OZ Tube: amzn.to/4gWYBGi
Tenergy Universal Battery Tester: amzn.to/47PqVGm
Plastic Razor Blade Scraper Tool: amzn.to/3XLGRVt
Micro-Mesh Polishing Sheets: amzn.to/3Y7Nyl5
Micro-Mesh 2x2 Double Sided Polishing Pads: amzn.to/4eosTQn
Tim Holtz Craft Scissors with Serrated Blade: amzn.to/4eqF3Ix

I can’t believe how awesome your shop is! Anyone in our group could walk into your shop and create something awesome! You’ve got some setup!!! 😃👍
Thanks, Scoutcrafter! That means a lot. I got a lot of my father's tools, plus all I've been collecting. With limited space (we don’t have basements around here), I collect a variety of tools, instead of quantities.
Thanks for watching. And thanks for getting me to make this Caddy in the first place!
I love the tool caddy you made. I especially like the TV remote on the side. That is great. Thanks for participating. Have a great weekend.
Thanks, ToolScouter! I think this project started partially as being lazy, but also wanting to know where my tools are when I need them. The remote was often lost under something. Now it has it's own home.
Thanks for the challenge to get me in gear to make much needed improvements.
Excellent caddy upgrade! I love that vintage tube of Flitz! Chuck liked seeing Darth and the gang!
Thanks, Magdad and Chuck! Darth and the TK's enjoy watching Chuck's activities. I just realized that I've been on the Flitz Bandwagon for 40 years, so I really need to make that video of when and where I found Flitz. Especially if Chuck is going to Make America Shiny Again!
Sorry for so many comments but I love the Wingnut blue.🙂🙂
I thought you'd like it. You, me, and Big Vic have blue as our theme color.
Thanks for watching!
Man! I remember the OG and it still amazing how much you have in that rascal...and right at your Wing tips!🤠👍 the reserve clothes pin is excellent as well as the washer on the little cup! Great seeing a video from you and so glad yall are safe!
Thank, Vic! Yes, it is full. 12 pounds full of everything I use frequently. Not sure where I learned about the reverse clothespins, but I've been using them for years.
We are fortunate to be away from the Bay and on higher ground. So many weren't so fortunate.
Your cloths pins are genius!! I will definitely have to borrow that from you. Thanks.
I learn something new every time on your channel. I'm thrilled I can be a teacher for once. 😅
New subscriber here. Your caddy is well thought out. The improvements are great. Nice job! 😀👍
Thanks for stopping by and jumping on board. I started ideas with a couple mockups in cardboard until I was satisfied. Then on to the final, only to realize over 3 years that it could be improved. It works well for me.
Loved your shop set up.Awesome
Much appreciated! Thanks for stopping by and checking it out.
Awesome retro, looks good and functional. I subscribed and liked, be interested in your projects. Thanks for the video, enjoyed watching.
Thanks for watching. Welcome to the channel. Soon I'll be slowing down to get more projects and videos done. So, stay tuned!
Nice, I like having everything at my finger tips. I think you accomplished that very well. I have seen you on I G. but this must be my first visit to your channel. Ill be back. Before i retired i collected several models but i have been so busy with wood working and restoring tools i havent gotten to them yet. Great video.
Thanks for stopping by, Dale. I enjoy catching up with your videos and shop projects. I hear that retirement takes away your spare time. I haven't built a model in probably 18-20 years, so I decided to take the time now to make one for next years model contest that I've Trooped at to support the past two years. I have shelves of models collecting dust that need to get built. I need to work on my time management to get them done and more tools restored.
@@wingnutsworkshop I have a river boat model i have wanted to do for years. Its the type that will probably take a while, Time management i guess is the key. Looking forward to your builds, I hope you will video them.,
Barefoot ???
You must keep the floor REALLY clean
HAHA
I'd NEVER walk in my garage barefoot
Yep. One of pet peeves are shoes when I'm at home. I keep the floor clean of debris, especially around the metal lathe. Dust, well that's everywhere.
Thanks for stopping by!
