Don't understand why some people in the comments seem to think this is sub-par Sean Lock just because it's fairly early. This is *_exactly_* what his material was like all through his career! Different, surreal and brilliant. I think they're just thrown a bit by the abundance of hair and lack of glasses!
Fascinating to watch comedians developing over the years. Some don’t get there but thankfully Sean did. There’s elements of his final persona but not quite there yet. RIP to a great comedian.
Ah, this was on that late night comedy program that was on Saturday night on BBC 1 during the 1990s. Yes, I remember this. I remember Barry Cryer being on a show.
Boots!

R.I.P LEGEND
it's brilliant to see some earlier career stuff, sadly missed...
You can definitely see the Harry Hill influence- the 'I counted it earlier' is almost straight out of his playbook.
Also the recurring gag where he does the hand swishing and comes up with a different punchline each time.
I see a lot of Harry Hill like material in the start of his act. I loved Sean Lock and he is the biggest loss to the comedy world ever.

How we loved him we still miss him.
Hi - a big thanks for posting this. You, and Sean, made me laugh😊
The surreal stuff is very Bill Bailey...they wrote together
So he was always a total nut-case!! 😂😂 R.I.P. to an absolute legend ❤️

“Parade float with a full steel band” joke is brilliant.
Them impressions. Class
He upset me for a while during 1998. I called him the 'latenightlookylookylad'. He was a great neighbour though. ❤
The hair kept distracting me. That's not the Sean I knew I guess. You can see he was still developing his unique style. He's missed by a lot of us.
Yeah back then he had hair , he was not very funny and he was not riddled with cancer , forward 10 years.....................😮😢
Legend!
I’m so glad he massively improved. Who’d have thought that this would turn into such an amazing incredible comic
what was the similarity with HH - the eyebrows?
1996? It looks like 1975/
Not bad, Some similar mannerisms to Howard moon from the mighty boosh here, rip sean
Not as funny as he was as time went on.
