Wow. As a 61 year old I appreciated this particular podcast SO MUCH. I am so encouraged to learn so many things about longevity and I no longer feel like I cant do certain things anymore because of my age. I could cry happy tears! Thank you. I've been faithfully doing my exercises every morning and I know I'm progressing. Still, I always felt limited and didn't know what kind of goals I could potentially achieve. I feel a lot better now having listened to you guys!
I’m so glad the episode was helpful! Thank you again for listening!
I’m so glad that you enjoyed the episode! Keep moving!! Don’t let anyone tell you that you need to stop doing the stuff you love!
Great video! I've worked out all my adult life. I'm 61. In the last 10 years, especially, my knees don't tolerate any jogging or running at all. Genetics are not on my side as I have come from a long line of family who had arthritis in hips and knees. I regularly do strengthening hip and knee exercises. The thought of doing pliometrics makes my knees hurt. 😅 Is there hope for someone like me?
Thanks again for a great video!
I’m glad you enjoyed the episode! There is still a lot of options that you could implement for building power that aren’t necessarily plyometric in nature. For instance, reducing the weight a bit on your traditional strength training exercises, and trying to perform them quickly with increased speed of movement can be a great way to build one’s power capacity.
@@RehabScience thank you!
