Sunset Lake Loon Chick reunited

On 7-15-16 my wife and I came across a loon chick alone fighting the wind. The adult loons were on the other side of the lake and the loon chick began to head for us in our pontoon boat. For almost an hour we slowly backed up across the lake with the chick in follow. The boat created some shelter from the wind and waves. Once the adult loon heard the chicks call they came together in this lovely moment.
