Great video and super helpful, thanks for struggling along with one hand for our benefit. Any reason to think an install on a 2014 Camry LE hybrid would be any different?
I think on the LE model you have to use a different kit and you'll need to get to the back of the radio but I'm not sure if its the same for the hybrid model.
@@Repairsbyctop Got it, thanks so much. I now did the install (using a different Crux camera from Crutchfield), and now i really appreciate how much detail you show in yours. Great video, helped me a lot with installing my camera last spring. Watched it again today to review my steps. I have the same exact camera package from Amazon and my back up camera stopped working a week or so ago. I am going to take things apart today and check connections, I did order a replacement camera already just in case I needed to replace it.
Very helpful video. Thank you. My Camry XLE hybrid is different from this car. The camera plug is hidden under a plastic air duct that has to be removed from the console to make the attachment. To lift out the duct, you'll need to remove two brackets, one metal and one plastic, which cross the inside of the console. None of this is hard. Also, my driver's side rear seat back does not fold down. I fed the camera wire through an existing wiring port, which was just under the left trunk-lid hinge, then tucked it behind the seat-back edge and the weatherstripping. The camera works as advertised.

Awesome video. Why did you install the camera to the side instead of right under the logo? Are the “lines” on the screen accurate when you back into parking spaces? I assume it’s off by a little bit?
I had the one where I had to connect to the head unit. Just finished running wires front to back. I can’t get those white clips off the damn license light panel.

Thank you for the video; I got a question do you think is possible to install that camera in a 2013 camry L? Thank you
It looks like you'd have to install a aftermarket radio with a reverse camera.
Great Vid.
Can you install the camera right below the Toyota emblem? Making it centered? Or does that not work 🤔? Great video!
I'm not sure how it will look on the screen. I mounted it there because that's where it said to.
Thanks for chear this video.
Awesome video. Why did you install the camera to the side instead of right under the logo? Are the “lines” on the screen accurate when you back into parking spaces? I assume it’s off by a little bit?
Thats where they mount them from the factory. There's two lines on that trim where you have to center the camera.
The image is centered on the screen.
@@Repairsbyctop thanks. What is the bit you used to drill through the plastic called and where can I get one?
That's a unibit or step drill bit.
I got this one from Home Depot for $30+.
You could use a regular drill bit.
This is the best installation video yet. Mine comes in today and I’m kinda nervous.
Easy peasy.

Why does the camera doesn’t go in the center like in between the license plate lights? Great video keep it up 👍
I was skeptical about that part but somehow the image is centered on the screen.

I would assume it is because I haven't heard any complaints about it since I installed it.

You don't have to pull the radio out. Please watch the video again.
mine is 2013 SE I have to check before ordering.
13 should work if the connector is there.
Hi there
I didn't see where you get the power for camera?
You must have skipped past that part. You'll have to watch it again without skipping through.

the connector at the 3 minutes mark of the video

What do you mean when you say upgrading the radio.
Are you referring to installing a after market unit?
@@Repairsbyctop Yes. Would like to install one with Apple Car Play down the road.
