To be fair, They don't clip their wings so that the birds can't fly, They'll still be able to fly just not high, Not supporting something is okay, Just like How I don't support people when they cut their cat's balls, But that doesn't mean We can't atleast understand why they do it

Even though it may seem inhumane, there are some benefits to doing this to your pet bird. For one thing, the birds never really learn how to fly while they are bred in captivity and sold in pet stores. For most of their development they have been in a cage.
My bird is an example of this. I had to teach him how to fly and even then he still doesn’t do it right/as well as a cockatiel should be doing. He always seems like he has to flap harder than need be and his flight posture is like a bumble bee - where his body looks like it is weighing him down. So he’s not very aerodynamic.
Most importantly, the birds also don’t know how to really land or steer while in flight. My cockatiel regularly crashes into things or gets himself stuck in small spaces when he flies. So it’s really dangerous - especially since birds have hollow bones.
Another thing is training. Birds are prey animals and are very smart. This means they are more likely to not trust you - hence constantly fly away from you, try to bite you, or scream/panic when you are in the same room. Removing their ability to fly makes them easier to hold in your hands and the more you hold them in your hands the easier it is to get them to trust you. And the more a bird trusts you, the easier it is to care for them. If a bird knows it can fly away then it will try to fly out of your hands and if you try to force it to stay in your hands, it will be scared/defensive and see you as a predator.
Once you lose a bird’s trust, they rarely learn to trust you ever again. They are smart enough to hold grudges.
After training, you can then let their flight feathers grow, and they will remember how you treated them when they couldn’t fly so they will start flying over to you/be attached to you.
I lost my cockatiel’s trust when I tried to force him to bathe. On top of this, his wife died and I had to remove her body from the cage - which must have been traumatic for him. Now he pretty much hates me and has been hating me for over 10 years. He only really tolerates me when I am far away, but if I get close to the cage he starts hissing and doing his threat display.

Also grabbing them making them do something is like a predator grabbing them to eat, that’s why they fly away when people do that.

You just need to let the out closed room with no mirrors or windows unless they’re covered, eventually your bird will learn where they are and what they are, but in the early days best to cover them.
You can teach them recall, you take them to a park you let them fly and then they come back to you. It’s free fighting. It takes a bit bit but you can train your bed to do this. Feel free to look into it.

@@grahh7234 when born they have the instincts to fly, but as babies if the wings are trimmed then they crash, and later on in life they don’t fly because the remember flying caused them pain. this is the owners fault! when you really work with them they will trust you will their wings in are tack. A reason is people say it makes them easier to train, this is not true, trimmed their wings make them scared they are pray so a human lifting them up feels safer, it’s not that they want that it’s that, or that it’s bonding with you, it’s better then nothing, it’s out of desperation. Also grabbing them making them do something is like a predator grabbing them to eat, that’s why they fly away when people do that. It corses so much stress it shortens their life and taking away their ability to fly is so cruel! And I agree should be illegal, except for some medical reasons if it is the only way to help a bird live.
