Lisa, that was so beautiful and well done too! I like that bowl shape, do you mind sharing the name of the mold or where you got it? I love your humming birds, they are so pretty! Thank you for sharing, lovely project! ❣
Thanks so much. The mold is called Binasphere and it might be on sale this month from the Wardell Publications direct. Otherwise I've seen it on Delphi's website too. wardellpublications.com/fusing-molds-categories/
Thank you for your video. To clarify is the bottom foot cast in the bowl separately from the disks of glass and then the two caste pieces fused together or is the caste bottom and the 2 disks all fully caste and fused together into the shape? So clever
That's correct. First I fused the cast foot. In a separate firing I full fused the disks (circles) of glass. On the third and last firing I had the cast foot in place and set the fused disks on top. In that last firing the glass slumped into the mold and connected to the cast foot. It's a really neat design - and the mold has two sides - one is a platter with a foot and the other a bowl with a foot.
That’s correct. This mold comes with excellent instructions, if you get it. You’ll full fuse the foot in the mold first, then when you slump your bowl into the bowl it will connect to the already fused foot.
I would have loved to see you make the rest of the bowl!
Me too! I thought I had captured the design process, but I didn't. :(
Beautiful! ❤
Thank you! 😊

Just to clarify, you full fused the foot in the mold?
