I'm not too sure since it's been some time since I've last played, but I'm pretty sure they either split up the islands or got rid of them for something (overhaul of old islands?) and brought them back but for members. "Back in my day" there weren't a lot of members only islands, but now you have to pay for nostalgia ✨
