Same, I personally prefer African music sang in native language because it sounds more authentic and it makes me feel happy even though I may not understand what’s been said but I always research the English lyrics to get more in depth. I find that a lot of African artists try to be someone they’re not and I cringe when they use a fake American or English accent even though they weren’t raised in those countries. As someone who was raised in England from the age of 6 and now 20, I love feeling connected to Africa through African music.

Nilotic tribes (even some Bantu ones) entered Kenya from the north-west and north-east (Nile valley, Ethiopia, e.t.c). All manner of Cushites and San were here by then.

Same, I personally prefer African music sang in native language because it sounds more authentic and it makes me feel happy even though I may not understand what’s been said but I always research the English lyrics to get more in depth.
I find that a lot of African artists try to be someone they’re not and I cringe when they use a fake American or English accent even though they weren’t raised in those countries. As someone who was raised in England from the age of 6 and now 20, I love feeling connected to Africa through African music.
