Hi Douglas. So sorry about Bruce. He was a sweetie. Greg works at Dove Lewis now and it’s a wonderful organization. We just recently put our own beloved dog down there. Great people.
So good to hear from you. Dove Lewis saved us from so much heartache. The vet Dr. Joshua Cruz was amazing. We purchased a dove in honor of Bruce that we are going to hang on the tree in the counseling room.
Think of this Nicole: just you recognizing some things you want to change/improve and putting it in writing sets you way apart. Most just drift on the open sea of life, sort of being tossed from wave to wave by small storms like a rudderless ship. You're actually in the process of steering, you should be proud of yourself already.
Thank you Sir 😊 just catching up on the full video and I'm so happy to hear that you and Joan will be getting another cat 🐈 , lucky cat will have a wonderful home 🏡 ❤
Hello Doug I have been listening to you for about a year now and I’ve been listening to other speakers and I am 64 years old and I have never once felt happy in my life will I ever feel happy in my life I have been on medication and off medication and I cannot find anything that will help me Do you have any Advice
I would talk to your therapist about this. Can you think of anything in your life that has given you pleasure, such as an ice cream cone. What about something in the past from your childhood? Even if the happiness was fleeting, it still counts. If you think you suffer from depression, you should consult a therapist or psychiatrist. There are treatments that can help you feel better.
This is the essence of clarity. No feelings are random and arbitrary. God designed all of them for a reason. Fear, depression, anxiety and paranoia tell you that there's something you are doing or thinking that you should not be. Whether it's worrying about trivial things that don't matter, or that you are in some town that you really in your heart of hearts don't want to be in. And that you should move to the town of your hearts desire. Any town that makes your heart sing when you see it on the internet, you should move there. "Listen to the pain. It’s both history teacher and fortune teller. Pain teaches us who we are, Wade. Sometimes, it’s so bad, we feel like we’re dying. But we can’t really live till we’ve died a little, can we?" Deadpool Happiness and joy tell you that you are definitely doing something right. And that you are in a town that you actually really want to be in. Anger. Depression, fear and anxiety is anger turned inwards. Anger is depression, fear and anxiety turned outwards. It's telling you the same thing. There is something you're doing or thinking that you should not be or don't want to be. All feelings are telling you something or else trying to tell you something. Figure out what it is. Anxiety is trying to tell you something. It is your body speaking to you. Anxiety may be telling you not to do certain things like don't smoke, don't work too long without a break and don't stay indoors too long without going for a walk. Anxiety may be telling you not to think certain things like don't worry about trivial things, don't think thoughts of despair or think of giving up and instead think of thanking God for the gift of life and think of being grateful for the blessings that you have. Anxiety is not an enemy. Anxiety is a friend that tells you that something that you are doing or thinking is not right. You have to figure out what that is. Anxiety is never a problem in itself but is always a corollary to some other problem even if it's anxiety about having anxiety or even having anxiety about not having anxiety.
You just got me through a rough morning. God bless you & Joan and ur new 🐱 kitty! Bruce crossed over rainbow 🌈 bridge. Awwww….

awesome😀😀😀
Anxiety is a journey, not a destination.
Heyyyy Doug
I want to let go of the fear of failure and my fear anxities of what others opinions are of me.
Do it afraid! easiest and wisest advice don't need to complicate things.
People only pay attention to you briefly, and if you act like it doesn't matter they will lose their attention on you quickly.
@@charlesandrzejewski7405 , yes I can feel my fear and do it anyway. :) I am getting more confident as I learn and grow. Happy 2022! 😊
