THEE EMPEROR from the SIK clan discovered this. Learned the routes for all 3 DZs and later discovered also that 2 key boxes don’t drop double exotics, only 1 key boxes. Also there is a way to reset all the boxes after your done instead of look for unlooted DZs

You missed a box in dz west just outside South of the safe house there's a room with 2 upstairs downstairs, the box is in a corner downstairs near the east stair set... Looking at the map near the east stair set
The yellow crates do not drop exotic components. Try to stick to the all black crates for the exotic components

@@Kamikazevondoom Is this always true? Because I'm hearing reports of some 'yellow" DZ landmark boxes (requiring 2 keys) do drop exo components.
My buddy and I couldn't get it to work but maybe we were doin something wrong or not in good timing with each other or something
The only worthwhile thing for solo players. I hardly even pick up loot in the DZ anymore since it's now a rabid c#nt fest. But in all honesty, I'm lucky if I get a component at a 1:5 rate.
Surefire way to farm components; Countdown. 2 runs = 1 exotic crate at the rec vendor. There's no "if" involved.

Ok so too many people have been talking and it’s starting to surface. So here it is.
Basically there are 2 assets for the loot box’s that drop exotics. One is normal/black the other DC62 covered/ black yellow. Only the black boxes drop exotics because the code only references the black box asset. So in short currently half the boxes will NEVER drop an exotic component.

Just go do the man hunt on normal finish it in 10-15 min you get a free exotic every time you finish it
But you could get 10 components in the same time with a crew in the dz

@@Its_Mik3doesn’t matter you won’t lose the components just respawn at a checkpoint or safe house and hit the next box..my suggestion would be get a no pulse build and stay hidden from players
Do you have to pick the lock and go rogue everytime? I run solo 97% of the time, I mainly run DZ west. My gamer tag is SI-Ded-Eye on ps5, if you happen to run into me.
No you can just open it solo just will need to open other boxes and resource items to get dz keys
