Thank you for being with us for 12 seasons, Wallace Boden! Firehouse 51 will never be the same without you.
Chief Boden is the best
I don't know the purpose of this scene!
Boden ABSOLUTELY deserved that promotion!!!
Thank You Chief Boden
Thank You Eamonn Walker.🚒🚒🚒
"You made 51 a family Chief, and this Firehouse a home"
We’re still gonna see him in some episodes right now he’s in control of the entire CFD? He’s always a part of Chicago.
He's not entirely in control of the entire CFD. There's Gary Cole's character Fire Commissioner Grissom. We have not seen him since Season 7 ish, but the character has not been written out, so he's the King/President of the CFD, Boden is the Queen/VP. Also, Boden is 1st Deputy Fire Commissioner, not Deputy Fire Commissioner. Deputy Fire Commissioners command a Bureau in the CD (e.g., Bureau of Operations, Bureau of Fire Prevention, etc.) The 1st Deputy Fire Commissioner makes sure the Deputy Fire Commissioners, who command the CFD Bureaus, don't do anything stupid or dumb.
From what I read, he left the show, so I don't think we will see him again
@chrisreddy8958 No, he's not. He's stepping back to a recurring role. Whoever wrote that report is lying.
He’s not in season 13 but he’ll be back in the other seasons to come
@@charliepage4334He will be in season 13 periodically
thankyou Wallace Boden for everything you gave us for 12 seasons and making firehouse 51 a home for so many of us viewers, you will truly be missed
Round of applause to Eamonn on his 12 years leading this show 👏 We hope to see him return very soon
Going to miss you chief
51 will always be your home
We going to miss you Boden
Me too
Same here great actor and person
I was in utter shock when I read that be was leaving. Seemed like it came out of left field, unless I missed something. He will truly be missed. I don't know, but I felt like his send off could've been so much more, for someone who has been there from the very beginning. All the same, I truly enjoyed watching him. Such a stand up character. There'll never be anyone like him!
Thank you chief Chicago fire will not be Chicago fire without you
Thank You Chief Boden (Eamonn Walker) and farewell. Goodluck on your next chapter.
A wonderful actor. You can just tell that he is a wonderful person in life as well
I still can't believe another crucial character is flying away from the 51 nests, especially the best father figure we always wanted! Thanks for everything Chief, and we'll see you out there, and Herrmann, you better get ready to step into the big shoes you've been tasked to fill.
Kind of like when Upton left intelligence and Chicago for the FBI.
Sure am gonna miss him. With Boden gone we’re down to just 4 from the original season 1 main cast ( severide, Cruz, mouch, and Herman).
He is not gone, he will still be on the show just not every episode. We will definitely see him, he just will not be part of the regular cast. Sort of like Casey coming and going. So he still will be part of the OG’s
And Capp Tony
We will hardly ever see him and he did leave the show, just like Casey left the whole show over Three years ago. But they kept begging Casey to come back for Brett which was wrong because they were letting the main cast be off they said budget cuts, but they kept on bringing Casey back and he is not even on Chicago fire anymore, only a guest, and they had to pay him.
@@carolynelston5936 yes but I’m sure they paid Jesse Spencer significantly less than they would pay him if he were a contracted cast member. Plus they were saving money because Taylor Kinney missed 8 episodes in season 11. The said that Eamonn Walker will be on occasionally when the story warrants it and he is available. While we won’t be seeing him in every episode, we will be seeing him. Shows have to change even when we don’t like it. At least I haven’t heard that this upcoming season has any restrictions like last season when they were told to cut the budget first renewal. All the actors that have been hired are still listed as guest stars so their pay for what I understand is significantly less than when they permanently join the cast. Casey and Brett are now gone and I would be surprised to see them return, since the comment Severide made in that episode that said “somehow this seems permanent this time”. We will see but if you can see they are gearing up the show to appeal to 18-49 viewer with a much younger cast and elevating Mouch and Hermann into leadership rolls I believe. Mouch will take over engine when Hermann becomes Chief freeing up another spot on truck for another young person. I’m curious to see if I’m right and this happens next season.
@@carolynelston5936 Yh but they said on the Chicago fire fandom walker who plays chief boden won’t be in season 13 at all
I’m still crying😢😢😢
I felt the same way when Upton left intelligence and Chicago for FBI.
Thank you Chief Boden (Mr. Walker) for your service. You were the consummate leader and father figure for Firehouse 51. You truly cared about your crew and the surrounding community. You inspired young children to want to become fireman.
It is rumored that we will see you, Mr. Walker, again and in the future, as you will be making appearances from time to time. If that is the case, I won't say Goodbye -- but Godspeed. Peace and blessings for your future endeavors. You will be missed.
🔥👩🚒💛❤️💋💯
The ending wow just hope we don’t need to wait till spring again
Gonna miss you 😞💔
Thank you Chief. We're going to miss you, But we'll see you again down the road. Until next time Chief.

An incredible send off for Commissioner Boden awesome that he got the position Thank you Chief Wallace Boden Excellent to see Damon open up to Severride at the end curious to see how that goes
Cheif we will miss you alot ❤
Te vamos a extrañar bodden es una lastima te queremos mucho.El mejor jefe de bomberos
Good job eamonn Walker
Wallace Boden you made the 51 a family now you can do the same for all CFD and im sure that if Casey Brett Gallo and so many other members could be here they'll thank you like we all the fans do thank you Chief Boden for everything
Thank you Boden, and Eamonn Walker for being the inspirational chief you were on the show. I will miss you. You are still my favorite character on the show!
Es un verdadero jefe, amigo, compañero quien vió está escena lo siente en el ❤
Good luck & God bless gonna miss you Chief Boden.so glad that there's reruns of Chicago Fire & PD on syndication TV. Loving the past shows. Now not so much especially when everyone is leaving.
Fantastic actor deserves an Emmy.
As much as I hate to see him leave there’s by far absolutely no one more deserving for this promotion than Chief Boden ever since this show first aired he’s led every man that’s come to 51 with a firm but fair attitude and pushed them to be better as firefighters and as people he is the true definition of a leader and you couldn’t have asked for a better person to lead them
We in Scotland just got this episode last Friday (June 28th), sad to see Boden go, glad we will see him occasionally
Please don’t go, Boden!
😭
Another scene that makes me very emotional
Yeah I get this feeling, right now there’s a lot going on in my town for the volunteer departments, soon we are all consolidating into one organization! My town also has a paid fire department in service during the day with career staff and they’re normally in service from 7am-5pm Monday-Friday, And pretty recently as of 7/1/2024 any firefighter who was employed by my towns paid fire department recently had to clear house from their volunteer companies sadly, they can no longer be part of a volunteer company now in my town but they’re always welcome to come around and visit, 4 guys who have been with my volunteer company for a long time had to clear out, got to know them pretty well over the past few years since I joined and now it really sucks, but they’re always welcome to come around and visit but they can no longer be members:(
Thank you Chief
Chicago Fire will never be the same, this is where sadly it goes downhill.
We loved you as the "Chief." Good luck, and may God bless you in whatever you undertake and wherever you go. ❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
#ourforeverchief
51 salute!
Thanks Emmon Walker for showing us viewers what it's like to make firehouse 51 a home and the firefighters a family. Like Chief Boden says, we'll all be seeing eachother soon, let's not make this a big goodbye! Thank you Chief Wallace Boden for 12 great years. See you soon on future episodes of Chicago Fire. Deputy Commissioner Wallace Boden.
THANK YOU CHIEF YOU ARE TRULY GOING TO BE MISS.AND GOOD LUCK ON YOUR NEW CHAPTER.I MUST ADMIT THAT IT WANT BE THE SAME ❤❤❤❤
Love
Sad 😭😭😭Thank you chief boden Thank you Eamon Walker
🙌
Goodbye, Chief. We'll all miss you!
It's emotional seeing boden go after 12 seasons he was one of the best chiefs this firehouse had it's not gonna feel the same going forward but as they say when one door closes another one opens
Hope we see him again soon and also herrman is a very good choice for his replacement
I really enjoyed him he’s real I fill like am family he’s good chief I love him wish to see him some more on there. With all the game
🥺🤧
we'll miss you so much chief boden!!
The Father, The Teacher, The Friend, The Leader, The Boss. Wallace Boden lead Firehouse 51 with love, integrity, honest, had the respect of everyone their. He cared and fought for 51 and it's crew. That raspy voice and stern look I like calling him Pappa Bear his authority was felt but was a giant bear. I will miss him at 51someone has big shoes to fill. Please do 51 right. Blessings Chicago Fire
Wallace Boden🥂🥂🥂👑
Thank You Chief goodbye 911 I can’t watch the show without him😢
Boden we are family too chicago fire good amazing fire house good cheif thank you so much ❤❤❤
I loved this episode. Boden getting top dog 🐕 spot!!! What would be even more perfect??? Matt taking the spot Boden vacated and then Brett becoming paramedic chief after Boden cans that witch 🧹 Robinson!!?? They've done laps time between seasons before. Matt's boys could be in college by next season????
Casey and Brett can just stay wherever they are.. that would not work because they both mistreat other people.
Chef Boden, sie waren ein toller Boss.Hoffen ihr Nachfolger malcht seine Aufgabe so gut wie sie.Wuensche ihnen alles gute und
Gesundheit fuer sie und Familie.
Bay bay ❤❤🎉😢
Just rewatching the series
And only just realized that boden actually skipped two ranks.
He went from deputy district chief to deputy commissioner.
He skipped district chief and assistant deputy commissioner.
I love Chicago fire
I love the team
Gracias jefe
Not crying … not crying… not crying… Apk crying
Goodbye chief Wallace Boden 51 farrewell
Wallace Boden. The chief. Finally he gets his respect and acknowledge from the people hire up. 51 will always be his family. No doubt. Massive heart ❤️
Just realised who the actor played boden is, was in an old English comedy in the mid eighties playing a gay home helper called marigold 😂
You’re the best!
Good that he promoted Herrmann to chief of firehouse 51 after this scene
IM NOT CRYING YOU ARE STOP
Really surreal to see one of the Chicago bosses leave their show. Hope Sgt Voight and Miss Goodwin stick around; really going to miss Chief Boden.
One way they could of made this so much better was to bring people that left 51 like Casey Brett and gallo just for this scene
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
If only Otis was here to see this day...
The final hug like Casey 🥹
This is not emotional this is great news this has been long over due
Ohhh please no 😢😢😢😢😢😢
I agree with Stella, you can’t say goodbye to Chief Boden.
We have to say goodbye 👋
With Boden apparently appointing Herman as the new firehouse chief, I'm hoping that Kelly will change his mind about becoming a captain and Joe will move up to lieutenant.
PLEASE DO NOT TAKE HIM OFF THE SHOW!!!
😢😢
So whose Going to be chief now?
Herrmann
@@billypetty1453I think that is a great choice!!! Love him!!
I like Herman also, but I really wanted Kelly to get it.i think Kelly would be a better choice
😢😢😢😞😞😞😞😢😢😢
Dont Go😭, we gonna miss you🫡 its not Goodbye, its see you later🥰
Boden is gone so now there is 6 from the original cast Severide mouch hermann Cruz Capp and Tony
Aw man I have to catch up Boden is leaving 51 that’s crazy
But who will be the new chief in 51?
¿Porque se va bodden?.Que te pasa Chicago fire no eres el mismo de siempre.
I swear they should have fired him on the show, not promoted him he doesn't deserve it, robinson deserve it because she doesn't play favoritism also, Stella' Darren' and Kelly and Joe Christopher Herrmann are all idiots in this sence for him saying he deserve it he didn't also this comment is for Joe enough with firehouse 51 being family or home it's not it's a work place
I agree with you about all the favoritism, especially towards Brett and Casey they both did a lot of people wrong on the show but it was never mentioned.
And you are right it's a work place only
@carolynelston5936 thank you so much for saying this it's so annoying how they are all caring too nice. I hate it cause it's not all about that in real life also you treat disabled people like that
@carolynelston5936 there we go
@@anthonysolis1060 I still agree with you
Kareem
Wonder who’s gonna take his place
Dame Boden is leaving 51 I need to catch up on this and Chicago pd
I quit watching this show after all the ogs left and I’m glad I did quit they think they can just replace ppl and still get views it doesn’t work like that
Cheif Wallace Boden will be a Great leader for the men and women of the Chicago Fire Department.
But just DON’T make Herrmann chief, like he’s good at cheering people up, but he’s not chief material, very volatile, he doesn’t has the grace and autocontrol that Boden always had.
potete metterlo in italiano
Who going to be the new chief for 51?
Thank you so much good boden cheif family same with you so awesome want to you into like to you thank you so best friend so awe❤❤❤
Seems like this show is falling apart w/all of these people leaving, I love shows like this, but they get us hooked and then they fall apart it seems. One of the better firehouse tv shows to come along, IMHO
Hard not to see him in every show only wish Casey and all the one don’t die at the show was there to pay tribute to the boss
First 0:08
Now that Boden is in charge I'd like to see his first few acts. Firing the Chef Paramedic. She doesn't represent the CFD's leadership style of unity. Carma!!?
