I dont care what anyone says, Axl kills this one! I am 51 and watched this live on MTV. He came in and overtook the song. He tried not to, but he is too powerful.
the first time i heard 'free fallin', was this show and the original version, without axl, just ain't working. his vocals, his charisma fulfills this song...and substantially his every other 'guest' appearance
Two of the most unique performers in Rock music. Love it. Tom Petty has the most chill delivery, and Axl does things vocally that nobody else will even try to do.
Axl Rose did a great job with The Rolling Stones and Mick Jagger the same year - "Salt Of The Earth". He was in his prime back then. It's captured on film, and you can find it on RUclips
I never knew Axl had done this duet. I wish they would've come out with a whole cover of this song, with the band. At the time when his voice was at his best, we can see it would've been something awesome. Awesome reaction Brittany
I remember this moment very well. It was the 1989 MTV Video Music Awards and I was almost 10 years old. I knew from previous years that the finale of the VMAs was a big deal so I was excited about who was going to perform. And 10 year old me was too naïve to appreciate Tom Petty by himself, so I was disappointed. But when Axl Rose strutted out, I was SO happy. I had a VHS copy of this for years, and searched for years when mp3s first came to the Internet for a high quality recording of it. Now that I'm in my mid 40s, I certainly do appreciate Tom Petty, but this is still so damn cool.
I love Tom loved him since his first album came out, I was a teenager, i apparently love his voice n he's gorgeous, another great legend gone rip sweet Tom your music will live on 😘🥰
what an awesome reaction. you're a funny and charismatic lady. the elvis "heartbreak hotel" cover after this one by them is great as well. axl really explodes there.
Others have mentioned that GnR was inducted into the PDC, as a whole band, that is true...but I think Axl is worthy of a personal invitation & induction into the PDC, just for himself, as well :)
Bruce Springsteen with Axl Rose Doing the song Come Together is a must. Great job with your reaction to Free falling from Tom Petty and the heartbreakers with Axl Rose.
Britt, my son is a year older than you, and this song has add on memories for me because it's the 1st song he taught himself to sing. Just driving down the road, and out of his child seat in the back of the car he was belting out Free Fallin'. Still makes me laugh
I distinctly remember you inducting Elvis into the PDC ... 😊 This came came out when I was young and I've actually covered it in bands I've been in, but there is something about when I heard it on the radio at the most random times and it would resonate with how I was feeling at the time. It's such a sing along chorus but it's also emotionally engaging.
It's probably been mentioned before, but at his peak powers, Axl had a 5 octave vocal range, similar to Mariah Carey and Prince. Unfortunately, past use of drugs, vocal fry, and age have limited him. Still can put on a good show though.
I grew up in the San Fernando Valley (as in "valley Girls", cruising Van Nuys Blvd.) of the east Valley). So many movies filmed there. Van Nuys has the famed Mulholland Drive was weaved along the t0p of foothill separating the Valley and Hollywood/Beverly Hill (the celeb/glam districts) accessed via the "canyons" where all the famous record studio where the classic rock albums cuts. North Hollywood had the homes of the 1950s and 60s shown in the SitCom families still on Nick at Night. Farther east was Universal Studios. As recently as 1940s, the Valley was orange groves (the land speculation was the premise of such movies as China Town).
Finally! I knew that you'll eventually induct Axl into the penny droppers club, yay! If you want to swoon some more, please react to more of GnR's songs. Axl always brings it & I know you already inducted Slash :)
GNR Was The Biggest Rock Band All The Time, In Late 80'S, GNR Won The MTV Video Music Award (VMA), Since 1989,1990,1992,1993. Beating U2 Albums, Metallica Albums, And Nirvana Albums in The MTV Music Video Award. Then GNR Vacuum in The Middle Of 1993, Then Came The Famous Alternative Bands, Such As: Nirvana, Pearl jam, And SmashingPumpkins. Nirvana is Famous For Entering The Same Music Recording Studio As GNR, Namely Universal Studio Music, Through The Album Nevermind. Even though Previously Nirvana Was Not Famous at The Time, When They Were Still in Their Indipop Music Studio. The Famous Alternative Music Band From 1993-1995. Then GNR Held A Reunion At Troubadour in L.A. And The Coachella Music Festival in 2006. Many Hollywood Artists Came, Watched The GNR Reunion, Because Everyone Missed The Band GNR Rock Music, Because The Music GNR Was Very Nice To Hear. I Loved The Band GNR. From Solihin in Central Jakarta. Indonesia. 💖👫💖👫👌👍👏👏.
Another PDC performance from Axl and Guns n' Roses is 1988 you're crazy and used to love her live performance on some tv show, might have been mtv thing, or not... But it's on youtube! Not the best sound quality but it is guaranteed PDC for you!
You're great fun as always, Ms. Britt! ❤ I've seen you induct several gentlemen into the PDC. But tonight, you are simply held captive by your latest inductee. Feelin' some extra hormones kicking in there, Britt? Ah, the miracles being wrought by The Bump. 😁🥰
I’m obviously torn about this video. While on one hand, I absolutely love Tom Petty and nearly everything he’s ever done. However, on the other hand, in my opinion, Axle Rose has never produced anything that I would consider worthy of listening to. Therefore, I found this to be disappointing, which is kind of what I expected going in, but I like your style so I thought I would give it a try. ✌🏼😎🇺🇸
You’ve got to listen to John Mayer playing this song live. It’s really good, and I love Tom Petty, but John’s voice gives the song a bump in my opinion.
only reason i listen to this song....only due to Axl Rose never liked Tom Petty´s vocals at all well its called the snake dance, the young Axl could sing anything and it would be good
Do you not hear the women screaming in the crowd in the background? P.s. you put GNR in the pdc about 4 years ago. Remember sha na na na na na na na na knees, knees...oh wont you feel my, my serpentine. ???

Axl is the only one that can take it over
Two of the most unique performers in Rock music. Love it. Tom Petty has the most chill delivery, and Axl does things vocally that nobody else will even try to do.
Axl has just about the most recognizable voices ever.
Desculpa mas suas interrupções atrapalham demais curtir a música
Axl Rose did a great job with The Rolling Stones and Mick Jagger the same year - "Salt Of The Earth". He was in his prime back then. It's captured on film, and you can find it on RUclips
Was watching on tv when this happenen...it was an awesome surprise! I was already a huge fan of G n R and this was my fave Tom Petty song. Loved this!
Oh, yes ma'am! Axl definitely belongs in the PDC ! That voice, that swagger, he's a prime candidate for it!
I never knew Axl had done this duet. I wish they would've come out with a whole cover of this song, with the band. At the time when his voice was at his best, we can see it would've been something awesome.
Awesome reaction Brittany

I have loved Tom Petty since I was 12 back in the 70s and I have loved Axl 🌹 since I was 23 in the early 80s
Nobody better than Axl Rose!!!😊
I love Tom loved him since his first album came out, I was a teenager, i apparently love his voice n he's gorgeous, another great legend gone rip sweet Tom your music will live on 😘🥰
Ohh… I have been a Axl Rose fan since the 80’s….so glad you see what we see!!! PDC!!!! ❤️
what an awesome reaction. you're a funny and charismatic lady.

Yes you inducted Slash during sweet child o mine and then inducted the rest of the band during welcome to the jungle 😊
Great reaction to a great performance thank you for this .
Fabulous performance! Your reaction was priceless!! 😅
Bruce Springsteen with Axl Rose Doing the song Come Together is a must. Great job with your reaction to Free falling from Tom Petty and the heartbreakers with Axl Rose.
Yes, that was also awesome! :)
You inducted him and all of GNR after the "My Serpentine" line from welcome to the jungle as he shimmied and you lost it lol
Love, love, and love Tom Petty!! Have you reacted to "Breakdown", "Crawlin' Back to You", "You Don't Know How It Feels", or "Melinda"? 🎸🎶
More Gn'R live. Axl is always amazing!

7 octave range….most out of ANYONE, EVER
Axl NEVER did drugs like that…hardly ever..,it’s decades of strain on his voice box
What you said is correct to really like a song is to listen to the lyrics the music is to enhance and complement the song.
This was the debut of this song... Axl was a "surprise" guest on this performance. they kept him hidden backstage.
And not the debut of this song….wtf is with all of you constantly putting out false info?
Girl, very entertaining interaction to the music video 👏🏼
CONGRATULATIONS!
Wow! Ive never seen this! Great find 🔥
They should have did a studio release of this.
Axl Rose…bless his heart and his therapists
Always enjoyed Tom Petty. R.I.P. I hope you enjoy him with the super group Tha Traveling Wilburys.
Pls do more guns n roses
I remember watching this live ❤❤❤
I remember watching this live on the MTV music awards. 89 or 90
Axl is/was just a pure musician... so entertaining every time...
Freeeeeee..... Free Ballin!!!
The Florida Gators football team plays it at their games. You should watch the crowd singing it the week after he passed. Very cool
They play " Won't back down " at all their home games. Is that what you mean, or do they play this song also?
Jeez I had a brain cramp. Thanks for reply
Does anyone else want to hear Britt sing? With her tidbits, the voice is there. Maybe we need to get her on AGT or something lol.
I agree :)
You should more react to guns n roses live performances es example don't cry 1992 in tokyo u will love it
She did it now, new video :)
Finally! I knew that you'll eventually induct Axl into the penny droppers club, yay!
If you want to swoon some more, please react to more of GnR's songs. Axl always brings it & I know you already inducted Slash :)
Axl being THEE R&R 🌟
Loved it!
React salt of the earth - Rolling Stones feat Axl rose pleaseee

My favorite song by Tom petty has to be won't back down, because that is pretty much how I am when it comes to life.
Awesome song 😊
HI BRITT , YOU REALLY WILL ENJOY AXL SINGING SALT OF THE EARTH WITH THE ROLLING STONES...PDC FOR SURE...... YOULL SEE😊
You can react to their other performance of Axl and i Tom " Hertbreak Hotel".....Axl is soooo awesome!!!!
You should write down all the PDC members so you can remember them.
You should check out Estranged by gnr live at Tokyo 1992 and Nightrain!
5:11 that scream had me 😂😂😂😂
Another PDC performance from Axl and Guns n' Roses is 1988 you're crazy and used to love her live performance on some tv show, might have been mtv thing, or not... But it's on youtube! Not the best sound quality but it is guaranteed PDC for you!
Do November rain
You inducted all of Gnr into the PDC. Lol.
You are too funny 😂
React to Rolling Stones ft. Axl Rose - Salt Of The Earth, it's epic collaboration! ✌️
I will keep it in mind, thanks!
@@brittreacts np, you're welcome 😺
Loved you reaction. I thought it helped you were aware of song original and G'n'R. But you being you made it fantastic.
You're great fun as always, Ms. Britt! ❤
I've seen you induct several gentlemen into the PDC. But tonight, you are simply held captive by your latest inductee. Feelin' some extra hormones kicking in there, Britt? Ah, the miracles being wrought by The Bump. 😁🥰
Love both of these guys ❤ that is definitely Axles signature dance move 😂 I love it
greetings I love the theme best regards from 🇺🇾🤪🤘
89 was peak swagger…
I know Guns put out some giant albums and did huge tours in the 90’s, but a little bit of soul was compromised…
Charter member of the PDC for your channel was Tom Jones, I believe.
You are absolutely historical. Every review ive watched has me in stiches, can you send me a clone of you?❤
You should listen to ZZ TOP.. I need you tonight... Very great song and I am sure that you will love it too
lol MTV when it was still Music television
Britt! Can i make a request?? Please listen to some Lenny Kravitz 🙏🏻❤
Can't see anything but water drops😮
Some channels have to blur the look of a video, so that they do not get into trouble. You can find the video with a clear view, if you do a search.
"Panty dropping behavior" - That could be an educational channel by itself lol.
If Britt was any hotter, she'd put the sun out of business 😊
Love axle but slash was always in my PDC
My beautiful gf
Guess you never heard of the "Axl Shuffle"!! Everyone copied that dance back in the late 80s.
Don't pretend you don't know Axl lol! Original PDC member
W. Axel rose lol
I left the comment saying you should check out the George Harrison Hall of Fame induction. You already did. Sry. ✋🏼💯🙏
Lol Axl was a mess post-GNR Lots of us had a better kareoke night in comparison to Axl's last performances. GNR was great
axl couldnt hold pettys jock but love this collab.

You need to Watch Toms Vid....
Soooo much better
I’m obviously torn about this video. While on one hand, I absolutely love Tom Petty and nearly everything he’s ever done. You’ve got to listen to John Mayer playing this song live. It’s really good, and I love Tom Petty, but John’s voice gives the song a bump in my opinion.
Mayer is nowhere CLOSE to Tom Petty…GTFOH
Tom looked cool but he was pissed . No one told him .
axl is a tennage singer ok? kkkkkkkkkkkkkk, please my channel think about tom petty in the spot , and axl buying to the master
only reason i listen to this song....only due to Axl Rose never liked Tom Petty´s vocals at all well its called the snake dance, the young Axl could sing anything and it would be good
How can anyone listen to someone pausing the song every 5 seconds? Annoying!!
We want Pregnant Britt Axl slide dancing.
Her eyes at 2:05 vs 2:09 lol
The 2 best REAL rock n roll has ever had….NOBODY was better than Tom Petty
Do you not hear the women screaming in the crowd in the background?
P.s. you put GNR in the pdc about 4 years ago.
Remember sha na na na na na na na na knees, knees...oh wont you feel my, my serpentine. ???
Proof...it was 7 months ago not 4 years.
ruclips.net/video/Ye31LcZD07o/видео.htmlsi=AHz9TuonBe3DdsUv
SWOON AWAY.
3:55 yeah great harmony but the lyrics about the vampyres running through the valley. I think you missed the point of that.
hahaha
Right after this performance, Vince Neil tried to sucker punch Izzy Stradlin of GNR and it landed like a 5 yr old girl hitting him…how embarrassing
