- In today's video I'll be showing you how to backup your PS5 and PS4 game save data to the cloud using PS Plus Cloud Storage. A lot of people just purchase PS Plus with the intention of using it for online play and free games. But most people don't know that you also get cloud storage included to backup and store your game save data. This can be particularly useful if you want to get a new console or your old PS5/PS4 got damaged and you want to replace it. You don't have to worry about a complex transfer process to move all your save data; all you need to do is download it from the cloud! In this tutorial I'll be showing just that, along with backing up your data manually and setting up automatic backups.

Thank you for this bit of info, I’m still confused by something. I’m getting and error “can’t continue playing. To save your progress, free up at least 0 KB more space in console storage. If you delete multiple items, you might need to free up more than 0 KB”. Huh? I have over 140GB help me understand what’s happening. Thank you

Cab you connect to a home cloud storage? I'm thinking about setting one up
So if you want multiple ending on a game should you turn on the auto save/backup? Or will it just automatically go back to the save point that i uploaded to the cloud?
I have only had my ps5 for a few weeks I’m still kinda confused with auto sync saved data that means every game I play while my ps5 is on and I close the game when I’m done it automatically sends the save data to my cloud storage right so let’s just say my ps5 break and I have to get a new one can I get all of my saved data back from auto sync saved data or do I have to transfer all of of my saved data from console storage to cloud storage and overwrite the data
So mine had a conflict between the cloud and console storage so I chose the latest console storage for gran turismo 7 and overwrited cloud and I have modified lots of cars now they feel slower does overwriting the cloud affect my cars

Need help, im ps plus premium membership. I played Gow Ascension, 1 (2005, and 2 (2007) suddenly i lost all save data just like that. Dont know how i can get save data back? I spend a lot of hours on gow games so now what am i suppose to do?

I know this is probably a stupid question, and by the time somebody answers I'll have probably already found the answer the hard way. But, does cloud storage only apply to games that have the PS+ icon (the yellow plus sign on the game's thumbnail), or does it apply to everything?
I see Astro's Playroom is in this video (which is a game I was concerned about), but I also need to know about Spider-Man Remaster, The Sims 4, Fall Guys (though I'm pretty sure Fall Guys has its own account rather than being linked to the console or the Sony account), Yugioh Master Duel, and Genshin Impact.
I'd hate to get PS+ just to find out that Miles Morales and Astro's Playroom are the only games that can save to the cloud.
Also, once cloud data is downloaded, is it permanently on the new console? Or does PS+ have to remain active forever? Asking because I need to transfer my data to a new PS5 (old one is going to a friend), and I'm hoping to do all the data transfer during the PS+ 7 day trial and then cancel it.
PS plus backs up save data for all your games. I'm not sure if the free trial for ps plus comes with the data back feature. I know in the past you only got online play but they may have changed it

Hey so when you got your new ps5 was all your data able to transfer successfully? Without the old one being there?
@@keysaucin9157 All my game saves transferred fine, but media files did not (screenshots, trophy videos, etc.). I had to download all media files from the old PS5 to a USB, but I still wasn't able to put them on the new PS5. Those will be forever kept on that USB drive until I can find a way. But game saves transferred without any issue, and I didn't have to keep PS+ to keep the saves.
@@semicomprehensiveguide I have a problem that I downloaded Last of Us I remastered on ps5, it's like a Ps4 game! I downloaded the game where I left off and for some reason it doesn't sync automatically like the ps5 game, but it added an option to upload to console-based storage or cloud-based download and I went to the console base and went back to the game and it doesn't continue the game where I saved it! Thanks in advance for your help!
Ok, now what happens to save data if you turn off ps plus. Or would i be a prisoner to it.

If you lose your game progress because something got corrupted can you get it back if you got it in the cloud
Yes, if the local files are corrupted then downloading a copy from the cloud should fix it
So is u put your save data from your old ps5 Cloud then when u buy a new ps5 it wil save all your save data and games ?
We wanna PS Plus Premium Subscriber for a year.
I'm not paying $80 a year just to backup to the cloud when Xbox offers it for free. It's highway robbery.
And the PS console quality gets worse every generation since the PS2. My big PS5 console magically died after just 3 months, no way to turn it on, no way to retrieve saves. Console came back completely wiped. Over 100 hours of Like a Dragon: IW, gone. Fk Sony.
