Your dad is adorable! I miss mine every day. He loved gardening and it's only recently, in my 50s, that I've had time to really appreciate my own and woukd have loved sharing it with him. You are so blessed. I am in awe of you starting over and excited for you. Looking forward to see how it all takes shape.

Your magical garden will all come together very nicely I feel. Witchy and Gothic vibes go well together. Did you take plants or clippings from your old garden with you? Or are you able to go back to do that? How long before your chickens will be with you? I love your dad and your dog. The pathway looks good with the meandering touch. Remember to take any grass clumps you remove for paths and then use in areas that you need to fill. Cheaper way to rejuvenate empty spaces. I love the fae folk in the tree keeping a watchful eye on the land. 🧚♂️❤
Thanks Veronica! I am definitely working on ways to weave in the soft angel-y pastels with the gothic witchy darker shades, and think, if I can pull it off, it will be epic! Yes, I have my grass clumps stashed away ready to go ahah. I'm sort of not sure if Hollyhock and Foxglove should stay where they are... I know they are loving their new home and don't want to disrupt them... but yeah, I adore them so much! 🌹xx
I was so happy to see you were going to make a garden path with the broken concrete. Just this past week, I started hauling home broken slabs of concrete from my mother’s old patio, so that I can make a garden path. Thank you again for answering my question about a flower in your old garden, Whirling butterfly, I have been able to order seeds, plus I found some plants in the local garden centers which I purchased and used in the center of my pots of flowers on my deck. I just love how delicate they are, and how they bob in the breeze!
Oh yay! I am definitely planting some whirling butterflies along that winding path, I can't WAIT to see it all come to life in summer! 🌹xx

I love your ideas. Fairies and all the creatures will be blessed. I cannot wait to see all the blooms. For me I always enjoy talking to my trees and flowers. I think it's so cute watching Dad and Noah helping out. Loved Dad's garden teaching tip, "Think, think, think and don't repeat don't rush into it because otherwise you make mistakes and have to go back and fix them ." Tea party sounds like a wonderful idea to do with the little creatures, reminds me seeing little rabbits, birds and butterflies around in my yard. I would love to have tea with them. I meant to say the Flowers and trees in Your garden are so lovely too , Magnolias are such a delight for the Soul as are the cheeky wee Fae in the Tree . As I may have mentioned we live IN the Native Woods /Rain Forest , one day we would love to own some land in the Sun to grow our own Veges and Flowers (we do have very thin garden down road end of our long drive where there are Herbs , Lemon trees, Bananas and some Flowers ...self seeded Granny's Bonnets and Freesia leaves have come up and Forget-me-knots too ) so I am living vicariously through the World Wide Web lol x

I totally understand the overwhelm and I am working with a decent backbone of the previous house owner. But you wouldn’t believe all the seedlings I have on the go to fill out my cottage garden

@@theramblingrose_ I am lucky I inherited a polytunnel as well which is great for all the trays there would be no way it would all fit in the house. It's odd to think you are going into winter while the heat of summer is just starting here in Ireland.

I’m so looking forward to following along on your new garden journey. I love Clause Dalby’s potted displays too and they inspired me last year to created a potted display in my patio. It made looking out the kitchen window while I did the dishes so much more enjoyable! I just finished potting up my spring bulb display…so much anticipation for what they will look like once Spring arrives 🌷😊
Isn't it great?! I can actually already see some shoots popping up and am sooo curious. I really don't know how the colour palette on the potted display will evolve, so it's all very experimental at this stage! Watch this space, my love 🌹xx

Awww thanks Mary, yes I do feel lucky to have him! The fence looks so amazing - I can't wait to show you the final reveal when it is painted. He did an amazing job considering he is 74 and never built a picket fence before!! 🌻xx

I, too, am finding forgotten treasures under things, or bulbs Mum thought had perished, but have come back from dormancy after years. Gardens are amazing.

I LOVE YOUR DAD! My husband is the carpenter-slash-electrician in our family and I am so grateful for his knowledge when I decide, "Hey, I think I want this!" He always obliges - lol. The manpower is sometimes necessary; they are built just a bit stronger than we are and that's a beautiful thing when we have projects that require a little extra muscle. Breaking up the original path to make a whimsical, fun one is GENIUS. Your imagination is so lovely, dear heart, and I can't wait to see when everything is in full bloom. As an aside, Noah's curiosity warms my heart. "Can I help, mum?" Love love love. Thank you for this.
Ahah yes, Noah is my number 1 garden helper. He is so sweet and gentle with the plants and little creatures in the garden. We have rescued many frogs, lizards and birds together 🌹 xx

I found your channel a few months ago, at the end of our long winter here in Canada, and seeing your cottage garden in full bloom was so inspiring during those final cold weeks. I especially loved your goddess garden. I planted a few things this year because of your videos. Now we're just about to be in midsummer and meanwhile you are cultivating ideas for your garden next summer. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Thank you Kristin! I am right here with you, gardening is life! One of the main reasons I had to leave my other home was simply that I couldn't afford the mortgage repayments as a self-employed single artist with a disability... Australia is heading towards a major recession and things are tough. BUT, my new home is an absolute miracle, she is beautiful too and I am proud to say I am debt free. It has taken a lot of pressure off, that's for sure! 🌹xx

I got divorced about 10 years ago and I was a stay-at-home mom and wife and I never worked before and it was married for 24 years and he took my house so I had to start over renting I had never rented before so it's been a struggle so I most definitely understand. Congratulations on your new adventures that's wonderful can't wait to see more especially your beautiful gardens thank you for sharing with me!!!💜❤💜

I am in the process of doing the same and it's back breaking work😅 My husband helps me but he doesn't know how to take breaks to stop and imagine what could be, so I have to lend him my imagination. I remind him how this is a process that takes time and in the end we are both going to love it so much. I know u understand. I love your new color choices! Happy gardening and imagining ❤.

You know, one of the deep motivations behind this channel was to create that feeling of being 'not alone', for me and for the other faeries out there following the journey. I drifted my way to Frazier island,the worlds largest sandbar.
The oldest rainforest exists there,I met the ancient faires who live there.
They showed me the water,it filters through the sand,making it crystal clear,perfectly drinkable!
And also,the purest Dingoes,there are none other,as the rest have been tainted by domestic dogs.
Flutter your wings,dearest Lady,and fly to that place!
The dingoes will chirp upon your arrival,the waves of the ocean shall rise upon your approach,and the sand will give its utmost,its crystal clear water,to quench your tiny thirst.

Im so glad I will get to follow your journey from the beginning the soil already looks so inviting. I love hellebore too and planted some in my recent spring. Mine won't be blooming for a few more yers though 😞 Im so interested to how your new color palette will evolve in your new lighting conditions.
Oh yes, I was really thrown a curve ball by the tropical canna lilies in the front garden... have never been a huge fan of bright orange, but I find them so magickal (and their black-purple foliage is divine!) so I had to think of something... it's all about the soft apricots to blend them in, I think! I was thinking Dahlias would look beautiful. There's a beautiful plum almost purple damson coloured Dahlia that would go with the colours you've chosen (I can't recall the name)
I did the same in my previous home by digging out the straight path. Curved paths are more inviting I think.

A flower i didn't love.... yes I have. Whatever I'm allergic to that grows in the side garden and that one plant that looks like Dragon's Breath (i just could not stand it's smell)
