Thanks for the great information! How do you have so many "Pre-Defined Solids" to choose from? I have only have seen about 10 metals to choose from. Really appreciate your response.
It depends on PC specification. Higher the specification lower is the simulation time. I cannot remember the simulation time in this case it may be half an hour. In some simulation cases it took continuous 7 days to run the simulation
@@CFD_GUIDE wow, just half an hour. It took me hours and still cannot finish because of low PC specifications. Is it okay if i just take half of the pipe to simulate? Will it give the same objectives? Well i should upgrade my PC then! 😂 Btw thank you for sharing this tutorial! 👍
Yes, what I told is right. As a boundary condition i took freon at -5 degree centigrade and while checking the results at the inlet I told that inlet temperature was 30 degree centigrade (i.e. temperature at the solid inlet surface of the tube). Immediately after I told that the temperature of fluid at the inlet is -5 degree centigrade.
Good morning sir, I would like to know if you know or if you have already published any work or article using this model and simulation? I found it very interesting and would like to read it and even use it as a reference.
Sir @2:30 what would be the concentrations of the fluids? Is it Air:Refrigerant = 1:0 or both 0.5:0.5? Thanks for the invaluable support of answering the comments everytime!
See, everything is as per requirement. I wanted to show the methodology. You can change boundary conditions as per requirement. There is no hard and fast rules that it should be same always. Only one boundary condition is fixed, i.e. when ever there is any opening excluding the entry, it's pressure should be atmospheric pressure
Generally homogeneous ( mixing of liquids with same phase) mixing is possible without having any special arrangement but in case of heterogeneous mixing when the fluids are in different phase, in that case we need to a technique, known as free surface technique. This is about SolidWorks but in ANSYS we have different methods like VOF, Eulerian method etc.
As usual very intriguing content on this channel. I got a question sir-The fluid(freon) flowing inside the tubes will exchange its heat to the pipe through conviction and then through pipe it will travel to the fins through conduction and then through fins it will find its way to the ambient air through conviction. Can I give all of these parameters for a more practical insight? Meanwhile thankyou for this charity for students like us.
You can see the cut plots of temperature distribution along two perpendicular planes separately to understand heat transfer along different planes. Along one plane convection is dominant & along other plane convection, conduction & again finally convection through the fins.
Things are pretty much clearer now.Sorry for asking a wrong question, you already have provided all those parameters ,I was skeptical about the Thermal Conduction Coefficient 'K' just because I didn't saw it anywhere in the video regardless of knowing that it's material dependent, My bad. Thankyou very much. Looking forward to see more of such crucial things from this channel.
Yes it is possible but in this case applying proper boundary conditions is a bit tricky. It is better to have a segments output to be connected with the input of the other and continue several simulations
Hello sir. Upon applying boundary conditions, a warning appeared that says that the component not laying on the boundary between solid and fluid region. What should I do?
Fluid subdomain should be defined again. Sometimes if you change the model accordingly the computational fluid also changes. That needs to be incorporated. So, check fluid sub domains and also atmospheric pressure boundary conditions
@@CFD_GUIDE I resolved that already thank you. Hence, upon running, it says that Unresolved Boundary Condition for the real walls Invalid goals for SG Temp of fluid Phase transition in the real gas may occur Can you share the file of this, please?
Is it normal to encounter warnings while running the simulation? I am currently running a simulation and some warning appears and the disappear after a while. Should I stop the simulation?
Hello sir. Thank you for referring to this video. I'm encountering a problem while selecting the fluid subdomain. Despite selecting the Sweep (thin) face, the fluid subdomain is generated such that the entire model is encompassed by the same. I'm not getting the fluid flow through the pipe as shown in your video. Kindly revert back at your earliest convenience. Thank you very much.🙏
Check the geometry from sectional views. There must be some open space. Edit different parts and while providing extrusion or sweep try to do things unmerged.
@@CFD_GUIDE I'm encountering the problem only during external analysis sir. For internal analysis, I'm getting the proper fluid subdomain inside the pipe
Internal & external that much of difference is not there. In case of external analysis fluid domain is vast. So itiration time also increases and you will get some extra results i.e. convection from walls to atmosphere. If that is not so important take internal one. Or you can send me the midel. I can check as per my time suitability
This is wrong selection. You have to select the exact location. To do that cut the model along front plane then you can select the exact location for providing fluid subdomain
It is abnormal. Simulation time depends on your PC confirmation. Better the configuration the less is the time. Even with 4th gen processor should take one to 2 hours for this simulation. Even for complex CFD simulation with the latest configuration may take 2-3 days. Everything depends on complexity of the model and System configuration.
I am extremely sorry. Actually I delete all the files just after uploading. At this moment I don't have this model. Within a short time I am planning for a detailed simulation of an integrated airconditioning system consisting of condenser, evaporator, compressor etc. Then I will provide you the same
Additionally, when when steam gas was happened from water and hot temperatures, can i define the steam gas a fluid subdomain and boundary condition? In other words, it means there are three phase .
In output, change of phase from water at 100 degree centigrade to steam at 100 degree centigrade conversion will take time. While checking the goalplots from solver window temp will remain constant for some time. You can perform transient analysis to understand change of phase.
