I have long blonde hair (it goes past my shoulder blades to my mid lower back.) I only really straightened my hair, other than that I've never really done any styles. What do you recommend?
My friend has long blonde wavy hair, and there’s a girl at my school with the same hair, so sometimes I mistake her for him from the back for a second, so it’s actually the other way around, and if I didn’t know him, then I wouldn’t think that he’s a girl because of hair length.
@@ryenhunt7355 hey im 6 months late but i personally love the thor/geralt of rivia half ponytail look. I sometimes do the whole thing in a ponytail in the center of the back of my head but then i *really* get mistaken for a girl lol.
That last look should be called the "viking". That and a braided or tied up beard would just be gnarly lookin man. Been growin out my hair for a few months because I got inspired by John Moffitt from the Seahawks. Can't really grow a beard yet, but as soon as it comes in imma rock that too. My end goal is to have my hair flowin' out of my helmet by senior year because it looks baller af.
The hair is coming along very well! It looks fantastic! When it gets a little longer, you should talk about braiding. With my hair I braid about 3/4 of the way down, then I have the rest straightened. I have some hair that is longer then the rest, so this way I can have it all tied up.
Beardbrand Definitely bigger more simple braids. If I tried to corn row I''d end up tying my hair in knots. Plus, I can't pull them off, even if I wanted to.
Jamie Karl I think youll look good as long as you keep yer head up! idk how shave sides can be overdone, when yer style of hair has been around since we've been around as a species,,,the ones that don't have the confidence have the negativity..
Difficult to achieve for those of us with sinusoidally-wavy hair. It can be demoralizing to try to reach a good length when your hair bushes up and looks short and crappy instead of flowing. For those of us with really wavy, non-flowing hair, something I found that works pretty well to get a bit less curl and a bit of movement is to shower, towel-dry, oil (lightly), then wear a beanie until it completely dries, then finger comb it with more styling wax than would normally be advisable. I've got 6 months of growth (inspired by your first video on growing out the old head-moss) and I'm just finally able to do a little man-bun, which is cool and considerably lower maintenance than my previous routine. As an aside, I tried growing out the beard for 5 months before accepting that my beard just ain't any good -- trimmed it down to stubble and it looks decent, whereas it was patchy and wispy and very uneven starting out...Enough time given and it filled in enough to achieve the stubbly look, which is better than nothing in my book...So try the beard, gents, and experiment if it doesn't turn out how you imagined. You may find an acceptable look that you hadn't anticipated starting out.
+AllAmericanPatriot1 Great minds think alike buddy. I have the same type of hair so I mostly use a beanie to fully dry and calm down my hair. Tried the beard too and have to put that dream on hold for a few years, as of right now theres a few patches that just won't go.
I really liked the last one. I'm planning on thru hiking the AT next March and I've already started growing it out because I want longer hair from the start versus having to wait until the end of my 6 month journey. This has plenty of awesome styles. Great job.
I really like your lower bun, I'd probably try that, but the front of my hair isn't long enough and seems to be really taking it's time. I haven't gotten a hair cut in well over a year and seems to have stopped growing, or at least as fast as I'm used to. In the mean time, I usually use firm hold gel to keep my hair out of my face and more pulled to the sides. I kinda like having a mane along with my beard.
I'm almost at a year, but I trim it every now and then. Maybe that's what stunting the growth of it. When your hair has split ends or damaged ends it cause ur hair to grow slower because your body is trying to repair those hairs
My hair is curly and it's at my shoulders length and I love to wear bandanas (headband style) and beanies. I think both of them suit mid to long hair very well.
i wouldn't recommend cutting the sides. the top of my hair currently goes down just past my chin and I've always had short hair on the sides but now my sides are much longer almost to the point in tying all my hair back, I've always regretted cutting the sides because i just wanna reach my goal of tying all my hair back in a pony tail or something and it feels like eternity plus having long sides gives your hair more volume and texture.
Good vid as always, let the hair grow I say. Also would you do a video on beard neckline, especially in terms of beard size/lenth vs ideal neckline. Beard-on brother.
Anytips for people growing hair out from an undercut? The top if my hair can be tied up in a top not but the sides are at a horrible tufty length that looks a right mess.
+Cameron Duffy this is my situation and I'm wondering whether I would need to go to the hairdressers to trim or for cutting little bits off or not while i grow it out
I went about 2 months ago to get mine sorted out but the back was such a mess form the last person who cut it he had to take a lot of. I was tempted to cut all my length and start from short but I think in a few more months it will be just long enough to cover the shorter bits
What I'm doing is growing out my hair but keeping the top at like a 6 or 7 and then I'm going to the the sides back into a tail and style the top up and back to the side. this way, I have a mane in back, right sides, and some height on top.
Up vote for trying the trimmed/shaved side. I've been doing the whole long hair + undercut thing for a little over a year now, and it's been awesome. It also works well with a beard, creating a nice sort of texture transition between the three. I have both sides and the back shaved, so I can't speak directly to the single side cut though.
I personally think you should keep growing, Eric. Your hair is really nice and it looks great. If I had to give you my opinion, don't shave any of it! Haha keep it up, great video as always.
Thanks for the inspiration. I've had short hair for aeons, but it's damn time to grow it out. I have a lot of thick hair, so this should be interesting. Oh yeah, and a beard too.
Eric great video. I like the last look the best, which is the look i usually do the most. Glad u desided to go for another goal. Thats the best take it one goal at a time. As u know i hit my yeared. I am so thinking now growing for two years, what ever its called. If u cut the one side, that would be cool. It would be something different. Guys might catch on to it. Always good to experement.
+Mace Crawford Two year beard is the tweard. Definitely helps give focus to have those goals and fight through the tough days. I like doing stuff that most people aren't doing and we'll see. Still have a little bit further for my goal. So time will tell.
Cool Video man!!! I wanna know how many years you grow the sides and the back(not the bangs) cause i struggle to grow them.I grow all of my hair for about 4 months and they re about 3 inches!
you're starting to look like Ben Dahlhaus man. awesome stuff. My hair is alot longer and thicker, but i really like the texture of your hair. I usually get that like after a day when the natural oils have set in but due to where i live, I cant let that set in too long. What products do you use?
Ya Ben Dahlhaus is my inspiration, so glad you made that comment. I've been using the Fellow Barber shampoo recently. It's a bit weird because it doesn't foam at all. He also has a styling cream to help get the hair not frizzy after showering. Perhaps I can do a hair care video.
I'm growing my hair now. Almost ready to tie it back. My goal is a Chrome Cigar Band as a tie back. I'm looking for Chrome Twin Bead Elastic Tie Backs to be integrated into the look. The Beads would hold the band in place. Any help would be cool.
My hair type is kinda a pain with wearing it up for some reason (probably because it's thick) but hoping it will get easier as it gets longer, but your hair looks fucking sick now man, I dig it
maaaan , you are great i wanna know which parts to trim ? i need to trim the sides or not ? and what if i apply some products to make my hair soft ? or just let my natural hair grow , sorry if my english is bad and i hope you answer me before i go to the barber :p see ya
You're planning on doing the skrillex next? Not a fan myself. If you're gonna do something different maybe go for the hipster bun (shaved on the sides and back). That being said, you do you.
+jeffry yohanes Ya, I want to head into the barber shop soon and get some maintenance trims and/or thinning in appropriate spots. Since leaving Spokane I'm still trying to find my hair guy/girl.
+FerreneMachine If you have split ends, you'll need to trim them down. From there it's all about hair maintenance and preventing frizziness. Check out this video of mine on the topic: ruclips.net/video/eBoDm99_Bl0/видео.html
Total hair and beard envy!!! I had a man bun but with the sides shaved but got ridnof it for employment reasons :'( but thinking of letting it all go long, like Matt Bomer in White Collar!
you and I have similar hair im currently growing the man bun as well! almost a year in worth of growth. I was curious to what type of styling wax you wear? im currently using redken wax maneuver! but its not giving me the look im looking for any suggestions help!! also I just started on my YEARD! 2 months in.. thanks for the awesome videos man!
+mikey phillips I stopped using hair styling products about 7 months ago. I'll only use it on rare occasions. Dry Shampoo, and sea salt are probably the two I use most frequently.
my hair is so long right now and I don't want to cut it but it's getting to the point where I'm getting really annoyed with it. How often do you wash it and do you use any product???
Today, I had moments of doubt in growing out my hair again and going through the "penis" phase. After watching this, I definitely want to keep going. Thanks Eric!
ive decided to grow my hair out. also want to grow a beard but having a problem with that. my hair is straight and has volume, any recommendations of styling?
How do you get your sideburns like that? Naturally short? Grow it out right ? I have longish hair it's about down to my shoulders but my sideburns aren't like that . Help
Don't even think of cutting your hair, dude. It is totally awesome!
You're not going to like my next video! 😮

Eric reminds me of Jim Root from Slipknot
True
wulfwyne 789 i was thinking the same shit lol where is his fender bro!
Legit thought the same thing hahah thought i was the only one
Your long hair looked fantastic!
Dude thank you I'm growing my hair and this gives me goals.
fur reel
How many inches U at bud?
+Noah Valdez just past 8
Now?
I ended up getting the fury cut but they cut it a bit shorter than I wanted so I'm back to like 6 on top and sort on sides
Damn he has boss genetics. Perfect beard, perfect hair and I love that voice.
Won't argue with the follicles. I see the voice as the balance of life

+Beardbrand How long has he been growing his hair for to get it to that length?
Kevin Hey Kevin - Eric had been growing his hair for around 12 months at this point, give or take.
-Zach
Thank you.
+Beardbrand i have Short Buzz Cut hair how to make tell like you ?
The hair is coming along very well!
It looks fantastic!
When it gets a little longer, you should talk about braiding.
With my hair I braid about 3/4 of the way down, then I have the rest straightened. I have some hair that is longer then the rest, so this way I can have it all tied up.
+AtrumNoxProductions These tight braids like cornrows, or bigger simple french braids?
Beardbrand Definitely bigger more simple braids. If I tried to corn row I''d end up tying my hair in knots. Plus, I can't pull them off, even if I wanted to.
+AtrumNoxProductions Same problem here! It all starts off well and then BAM da knots are real.

shaved sides is overkilled I can't stand it
All about finding the style that works best for you!

Jamie Karl I think youll look good as long as you keep yer head up! idk how shave sides can be overdone, when yer style of hair has been around since we've been around as a species,,,the ones that don't have the confidence have the negativity..
Jamie Karl undercut has been around since world war 2
Sorry...
i think u should grow it longer and keep the hair
+Mark BallnFreerun he just cut his hair :(

+AllAmericanPatriot1 what kind of oil do you use to tame your hair? (mines about 9 inches on top, & super wavy frizzy)
imveryhungryyy I've tried a few types, but for me personally nothing works better than Jojoba oil.
when I was six or five months in I did this frequently but I found as my hair got longer this technique no longer works, I am currently 11 months in
+AllAmericanPatriot1 i have same hair do a vid about it bro
I really liked the last one. I'm planning on thru hiking the AT next March and I've already started growing it out because I want longer hair from the start versus having to wait until the end of my 6 month journey. This has plenty of awesome styles. Great job.
Thanks for the feedback man! Good luck on your hike.
I usually tie my hair like the 3rd style you used everyday just to keep em hair off of my face but man your hair is beautiful! Just beautiful....
+syamil jamil Appreciate the kind words man. There are definitely days that I curse at my hair like all other guys.
Your hair is incredible! 😍😍😍
+Nicole Jane Thank you Nicole! Love the compliments.
I dont think men rock the low knot at all, but with you it actually worked! I dont know what did it, but it really looked cool :)

You rock the 3rd style man. I'm definitely getting some inspiration. I haven't cut my hair in about 2 months. I got a long way ahead of me.
Great job love the video! This reminded me of way back when you had your shorter hair and buzzed on the sides.
+Luca Marino Ya, it's definitely come a long way and I feel like I can now officially say I have long hair. Before this it's been "in transition."
This video really helped me figure out more masculine ways to wear my hair! Thank you!
The last one was the best good looking one!
The ones you wear the least, you should wear the most! Looks great :)
great video bro keep up the good work beard on
+Jake Hughes Myers Thanks Jake! Appreciate the comments.
the dude perfected that last style.
+marcus willson Thank you! I've been digging the look.
Your hair is awesome. So, I have buzzed my sides and back. I like it as it is hot down south. Thanks for the video.
Eric...you're so cute man. You always bring me joy when I see you have a new vid!
It helps with the neatness of the full bun look if you get your hair stylist to clean up the neck area with a buzzer or razor every now and then!
You look like my old boss from a summer job i had at an art museum , rockin hair dude 🎸
My hair is curly and it's at my shoulders length and I love to wear bandanas (headband style) and beanies. I think both of them suit mid to long hair very well.
+PacoLoco Sounds like a good style to me!
-Zach
Beardbrand Thanks :)
My go to hair is either a half up style or a headband most days and hats
Sick! Much needed hair video I love them man keep up the fantastic work.
Been growing my hair out from completely bald for 8 months now. Starting to hit the penis stage. It's videos like this that keep me growing. Beard on!
It's amazing how different long hair looks with a bush growing out of ur face! Looks great though!
You have added more fuel to the fire that is growing out my hair. Its a long way off but I will get there.
Excellent half pony advice

your hair is amazing and your beard is perfect !
When he put the top knot in... ahh so beautiful!! Haha
My colouring is very similar to yours and i'm hoping to get a similar length soon. Thanks for the video/inspiration.
I know I'm late but I need help. Whenever I tie my hair it makes waves in the front part. How do you stop this and rather make it equal?
My father and brother grow awesome beard i hope i get one like that
Nice hair man, love it!!
i am going to sub mainly because this guy looks like a badass
last ones the coolest one in my opinion.
+Posh Bird Studios Agreed. It's probably the one I've been wearing most frequently.

Your beard looks FUCKING AWESOME!!!!
I personally think you should keep growing, Eric. Your hair is really nice and it looks great. If I had to give you my opinion, don't shave any of it! Haha keep it up, great video as always.
+Hudson S Thanks man! I appreciate the feedback. Won't be doing anything to it for a few months; that's for sure. So I'll be enjoying it.
can i ask you why you ended up cutting it? like the pros and cons of long hair. Awesome video btw
+PorraCaralho I talked about it here: ruclips.net/video/aa3tw6wg9Kc/видео.html
Basically, I grew to my goal length and preferred a different look.
how long does your hair have to be for it to be a man bun?
6 to 8 inches
great stuff men!!!! :) im growing my hair because of you :)
+nobert dion trudel Sweet man! Good to have another on the journey! Hope it's going well for you.
Thanks for the inspiration. I've had short hair for aeons, but it's damn time to grow it out. I have a lot of thick hair, so this should be interesting. Oh yeah, and a beard too.
I like the man bun myself it helps to keep ball cap or whatever I have on my head on
Eric great video.

Eric have you ever dyed your hair green, purple, etc.? Some guys do it during Halloween! Sounds fun to me
+Zivaray Viz When I went to Japan my hair was dyed purple by mistake. Can't say I've ever done it on purpose.
What hair products do you use? Maybe in terms of styling creams etc?
+SebzY_ I talked about my favorites here: ruclips.net/video/ambgs_f3180/видео.html
what do you suggest with really thick hair?
How long have you been growing it for now?
+Trent Goulter I've been growing for about 15 months, but I started off with about 2 or 3 inches up top.
how often do you shampoo and condition and what do you use?
What product did you use?
Cool Video man!!! I wanna know how many years you grow the sides and the back(not the bangs) cause i struggle to grow them.I grow all of my hair for about 4 months and they re about 3 inches!
What hair product did you use?
how often do you get a hair cut?
i've got a problem, my hair are very dry, so that they don't "fall" like yours (or women ones), but stand still in a very ugly way. suggestions?
Try a leave-in conditioner or moisturizing product to hydrate you hair and help it fall and lay a little bit more naturally and smoothly.
-Zach
TheWolf same here man
Nice hair, what type of hair do you have, thin, thick? I dont know what type do I have I wish I knew
you're starting to look like Ben Dahlhaus man. awesome stuff.
Perhaps I can do a hair care video.
that would help. ALOT. keep bearding on man. You've been a great inspiration and helped me from rushing into shaving the fuzz.
Cheers
I'm growing my hair now. Almost ready to tie it back. My goal is a Chrome Cigar Band as a tie back. I'm looking for Chrome Twin Bead Elastic Tie Backs to be integrated into the look. The Beads would hold the band in place. Any help would be cool.
Beardbrand, can you please do an episode about bar soaps that fix dry skin under your beard.
i thought you were jim root from slipknot for a second, had to do a double take 😂😂
Great video, very informative....thanks!
My hair type is kinda a pain with wearing it up for some reason (probably because it's thick) but hoping it will get easier as it gets longer, but your hair looks fucking sick now man, I dig it
2 small braids in the side with length in the back coupled with 2 beaids in the side of the beard with ehe long flowing half pony tail at the top.
maaaan , you are great
i wanna know which parts to trim ? i need to trim the sides or not ? and what if i apply some products to make my hair soft ? or just let my natural hair grow , sorry if my english is bad and i hope you answer me before i go to the barber :p see ya
going to give the long hair a try. not sure I can make it through the awkward stages though.
You're planning on doing the skrillex next? Not a fan myself. If you're gonna do something different maybe go for the hipster bun (shaved on the sides and back). That being said, you do you.
how long do you think it would take to grow out the lower bun with thick and somewhat wavy hair?
please make a video how to trim/cut/maintain but still keep the length of the hair!!/thanks!
+jeffry yohanes Ya, I want to head into the barber shop soon and get some maintenance trims and/or thinning in appropriate spots. Since leaving Spokane I'm still trying to find my hair guy/girl.
Dammit, I always expect Iron Maiden at the intro
me too!
What brand shampoo and conditioner did you use when your hair was this length? I am trying to find a good product that is non-silicone based.
How do I trim my beard to get it like yours
Got any recommendations on what shower products to use on my hair? What hairband do you recommend and what headband to buy?
You said you don't wear a hairband what was you using?
Don't wash it. I don't wash my hair. Oily hair is healthy hair.
Tips on getting rid of frizzy ends?
+FerreneMachine If you have split ends, you'll need to trim them down. From there it's all about hair maintenance and preventing frizziness. Check out this video of mine on the topic: ruclips.net/video/eBoDm99_Bl0/видео.html
Total hair and beard envy!!!
I had a man bun but with the sides shaved but got ridnof it for employment reasons :'( but thinking of letting it all go long, like Matt Bomer in White Collar!
+TheMeiko5 Ya, that's a good length and not a lot of guys rock that look. You'd definitely stand out.
you and I have similar hair im currently growing the man bun as well! almost a year in worth of growth. +mikey phillips I stopped using hair styling products about 7 months ago. I'll only use it on rare occasions. Dry Shampoo, and sea salt are probably the two I use most frequently.
this is the Best look eric has had, longer looks better on him.
Hey bro how did you get this amazing blonde?
my hair is so long right now and I don't want to cut it but it's getting to the point where I'm getting really annoyed with it. How often do you wash it and do you use any product???
Today, I had moments of doubt in growing out my hair again and going through the "penis" phase. After watching this, I definitely want to keep going. Thanks Eric!
+SteeezyWonder Hell ya. We all have our doubts. Keep on growing. You can always cut it later.
The "penis" phase?
thanks alot man awesome video
ive decided to grow my hair out. also want to grow a beard but having a problem with that. my hair is straight and has volume, any recommendations of styling?
did you have your hair trimmed/cut when you were growing it out?
Just occasionally trim the edges, and shape it as necessary.
thank you!
How do you get your sideburns like that? Naturally short? Grow it out right ? I have longish hair it's about down to my shoulders but my sideburns aren't like that . Help
