  • What I got my KIDS for CHRISTMAS and HOW MUCH I SPENT || $50 Christmas Budget
This is my favorite video of the year! I love getting my kids gifts. I love getting a good deal. And I LOVE sharing it all with you! I had a $50 budget per kid this year and I think I did pretty well between sales, thrifting, black Friday, and surplus stores. I hope you enjoy!

I don’t remember exactly what I said in the video about the slippers….but I feel like it’s being made a much bigger deal than it was. 🤣 Just to clarify. This was just ONE tiny thing on my daughter’s list. And it wasn’t her number one thing she can’t live without. Just a small thing she put on her list. So since she did get slippers, we’ll maybe just move on.

I see nothing wrong with thrifting. I was raised on thrifting.

  • @shabbyshopper

You must have AMAZINGLY CHEAP thrift stores by you!! No l thing like that here - you actually find things marked HIGHER than the tags from the store. It’s crazy frustrating!

Second year in a row of being so inspired by you and how you manage to be so thoughtful with the budget that you set! My mom always managed to find the best deals and always wowed me at how she was able to pull off a great Christmas for next to nothing. And to all the naysayers, I loved my mom’s thoughtfulness she put into finding me things even if it wasn’t the exact thing I asked for. Actually after awhile certain point I stopped asking for anything specific because I just loved seeing what my mom would surprise me with! And she always hit the nail on the head with great ideas on her own! We know our kids so well and the best thing we can do for them is to not let them become obsessed with things. My kids have been clothed in nothing but thrifted clothes and have been given mostly thrifted toys since they were born and they’re 5 and 6 and are none the wiser. Actually they quite enjoy finding “surprises” at the thrift stores. Everything eventually breaks or gets donated when an interest changes. We shouldn’t put so much value in things and put that value in the people that take the time to gift them. ❤

"something to feed" PAHAHA plz no, I can't believe how many rodents my parents let me get for christmas as a child...nothing additional to feed for our children, we have enough mouths to take care of with the two pups hahaha

  • @marylaboy8855

Im not gonna lie i would not gift my kids used shoes or slippers just my opinion thats gross....no shame on those who do but i wouldn't.....

Don’t let the negativity get to you. So many people can benefit from your budget tips and Christmas advice. It’s hard out there for many families and they need to know it’s not all about stuff and they’re doing ok. Thank you for the positivity in your videos ❤

Great video! Keep doing what you're doing, Momma. Your prescence is way more valuable than the presents anyway. Teaching your children about Jesus being the true meaning of this season is the most important thing you're doing. Your videos always inspire me. Merry Christmas, friend.

Thrift stores are so inconsistent and there is zero guarantee that what kids ask for is going to be found. Part of the magic of Christmas is getting things on your list……obviously not all of it, but I think we can all agree that for kids that is part of it. Anyway, do you buy things from the thrift store they don’t actually want just so they have things to open??? What do you do if nothing on their list is anywhere to be found at a thrift store or isnt in good enough shape to be gifted? Isn’t it equally a waste of money to buy things they don’t want in place of things on their list? No hate, legit question.

  • @Thriftyredhead

Man I love this, I’m borderline tempted to return all my kids gifts and rebudget like this. lol next year I wanna have an actual small budget! I’ve accepted the challenge!! I’m subscribing!!

  • @JOHANNA-qd6iz

Buy your daughter a hair bonnet it will stop the tangling that is damaging the hair.

  • @Amberdavis08

I am so impressed at how much you are able to get your kids for that budget! Your thrift stores are so impressive for sure! Also, love you sharing about Jesus at the end ❤

  • @kericoker1083

This video is amazing. So many times as a teacher kids will tell me they didn't get any Christmas cause their parents couldn't afford it. This shows you can get quality things for little money. AMAZING GREAT VIDEO

  • @alyssakelley1956

Please never listen to the negativity!! I’ve seen moms who have a tight budget and are horrible to their kids for asking for something and they get them that one gift and nothing else and then make them pay them back even. I even saw one mom was not getting her daughter anything and wrapping an empty box. You are SUCH a thoughtful momma. ❤

  • @blspenza

"You spray it on your face and become royalty! Who doesn't want a gold face?!?" 😂😂 This and you crawling out of the kids playhouse had me rolling 😊 looks like your kids are going to have such a fun Christmas. Besides the gifts they have a wonderful fun mom who is making amazing memories with them another year!! ❣️ Keep up the great work Mama!

  • @brandishipp8098

Wow! I’m not a thrifter, and I tend to spend much more than $50 on holidays…but I was so impressed with your thoughtful and intentional gifting! Well done! Wishing your family a beautiful Christmas!

  • @oursweetiebirdshome

It’s so wonderful to see another mama sharing thrifted gifts! I find the best things thrifting! ❤❤❤

  • @joyfullittlearrows824

Love love love these finds!!! Great job mama!!!

  • @heatherrowe2979

This is so fun to watch, and I am always so blown away by how well you do this. It seems that more people are doing a thrifted Christmas this year which is nice to see. I've always done a mix of both, and I can't imagine it any other way. Merry Christmas to you and your family!

  • @yolanda080

Absolutely loved this!! Thank you so much for sharing what you got your kiddos. Also, for showing that it’s so doable to shop within a budget and buy quality things that you know they’ll like and enjoy. You’re a true blessing! I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday season! 🎄☺️
