    I really like this tutorial because it's simple and gives me just what I need! It can be a beginner's pattern if you take your time and have fun with it. Also, I've seen a lot of people complaining about the lack of written instruction, so I've typed them up and will posted them here.
    MATERIALS
    1. cotton yarn (generally 3-light or 4-worsted weight for this project)
    2. This creator used a 3.00 mm hook.
    INSTRUCTIONS
    (If you see *(instructions)* that means you will repeat that sequence a given number of times.)
    -- US Crochet Terms --
    R# = Row number
    Ch = chain
    SC = single crochet
    HDC = half-double crochet
    SS = slip stitch
    R1 - Ch 19 (More for a wider wallet. Chain an even number, plus one. Example: Chain 20, plus 1, for a total of 21 chains.)
    R2 - Starting at the 2nd stitch from the hook, SC across (18 stitches)
    R3 - *(HDC in the 1st stitch, SS in the next)* x 9. Your last stitch will be a SS. (18 stitches)
    Repeat for R4 through R42 for a total of 40 rows of *(HDC, SS)*.
    1. Fold up from the bottom about 12 rows and fold the top down to test that you've reached the size you want.
    2. Ch 1 and cut your yarn, leaving about 6-8 inches of length. Pull the yarn through the chain and pull snug.
    3. Using stitch markers (paperclips, bag ties, bits of string, etc), pin the bottom corner to the side of the wallet on both sides. Make sure your fold is even or it will be crooked.
    4. Make a slip knot in your free yarn, and insert your hook through both front and back stitches in one folded corner.
    5. Make a SC at each row, connecting the front and back, all the way up to the stitch marker. (If you have a stitch space that is too wide, you may need to add another SC in that one spot.)
    6. Continue to SC up the side to the corner.
    7. Place 2 SC into the corner and 1 SC in each stitch across the top.
    8. Place 2 SC into the corner and 1 SC in each stitch going down the side.
    9. At the stitch marker, SC through the front and back to connect the sides. SC down to the corner.
    10. Ch 1 and cut your yarn, leaving about 6-8 inches of length. Pull the yarn through the chain and pull snug.
    11. Using the length of yarn from Step 2, thread it into a tapestry needle and weave it through 7 stitches toward the center of the top row of the flap. Pull the yarn out between the 7th and 8th stitches.
    12. Insert your hook into the space where you pulled your yarn out, yarn over your hook, and pull up a loop.
    13. Ch 8, skip 3 spaces, and cut your yarn, leaving about 6-8 inches of length.
    *ALTERNATELY* (This is what I did.) Ch 8, skip 3 or 4 spaces, SS to the top row, Ch 1, and cut your yarn, leaving about 6-8 inches of length.
    **If you're using a button to close the wallet, you may need to increase these chains to allow for a larger hole.
    14. Thread the yarn onto your tapestry needle and weave the yarn back into the stitches of the wallet to secure it. Trim the excess.
    15. Using the length of yarn that was attached in the corner to start the SC side closure, weave the length into the wallet and trim the excess.
    16. Using the length of yarn leftover from stitching the sides closed, weave the length up through the front of the wallet to the upper center. Align your yarn and stitch area with the loop on the flap and use the length of yarn to sew on a bead, button, or other closure device.
    17. Weave your leftover ends and trim the excess.
    CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR NEW WALLET!!

    For everyone complaining about her not talking, this is suitable for visual learners. I'm sure everyone has a different learning style, but please don't complain about the fact that she doesn't talk.

      I’m a visual learner but she at least has to give better steps…. What kind of yarn is she using? Was that a single crochet with a chain 1 or just struggling with the single crochet? And don’t get me started on the second row…. What stitches is she using? What are the steps? If you aren’t going to talk at least write out the stitches… 🤦‍♀️

      She did the same thing for 40 times and then just sew it all together.... It might be hard if it's your first project tho... Try doing something else before doing this then you will understand 😭😭
