Bering are at the top of my list for yachts. Overbuilt and tough, they can easily take you around the world, and do not sacrifice comfort in the least. The owner of Bering comes from trawler fishing background, so he knows what is needed to handle rough seas.
What an awesomely narrated piece. You built feeling and emotion into your presentation. I'm a seafaring soul myself, born from days in the US Navy, and before that, a swimming hole back home. I can tell you without a doubt, this video would appeal to even landlubbers with no intention of sharing the salt in our veins. Any memories (those sketches) connected to the wonders of an unadulterated imagination from our youth are powerful enough to move us when the reflection is as pure as the one articulated by the narrator. Bravo Zulu! I salute.
I love Bering boats! It really shows that the CEO and owner worked in the Bering Sea fishing and crabbing. Being from Seattle I'm very familiar with the fishing vessels of the Bering sea.
In my opinion Bering Yachts are a very serious company that build a good quality yachts. I would trust to travel around the world on one of their yachts.
It's an upgrade from the classic Bering 65. It almost has the same layout of 65 but definately is a lot roomier. The only downside of 72 is that it cancels the portuguese bridge. But it's a 72 footor with 120T displacement and a bulbous bow, so normally it wouldn't be much bow spray. I prefered this one to the 77. It's still in the owner-operating range while you might need some crew to run the 77.
Hey, this is my favourite yacht: it's on my dream board, top of my goal's list, ....and my screensaver. Love it for it's size, and because it is everything I want to be able to explore the world- and it's a Bering. I just hope the Turkish lira's collapse doesn't affect the costs too much.
Ein toller Entwurf!! Mich würden die Maße, die Durchfahrthöhe interessieren, ebenso die Brücke und der Maschinenraum. Die Bering - "Philosophie" ist der Maßstab für Comfort und Sicherheit auf See.
The 77 is badass 😎 and the next model of it won't need generators while underway . It will have enough solar to anchor in silence for days . It will have an optional hybrid electric drive to run in areas where motor boats have been restricted.
For the B72, 77, the fuel burn and op costs are similar. Assuming purchase price is not the issue, and manned by a couple... For trans-ocean voyages, bigger is better, so I would choose the B77. For coastal, the B72. For summer fun, the B65. The larger Berings, say the B80, are into the super yachts, so the ownership considerations alter substantially. If world turmoil in 2022 continues long term, with high fuel costs and economic depression, I foresee the demand falling across the board for such yachts, and should hope Bering will survive.
Beautiful lay-out. Nice lines. Big bathrooms. I'm in doubt now between Outer reef 720 and Bering 72. Is it possible to customize interior? very chic yacht.
hi all i have little experience with going far on boats. But i really like the b70 mostly causs of its lines and the cost upkeep, mostly its fuel consupmtion. But i would like to know what uyou guys think of its and capabalities in hard sea? Since it is rather different from the rest of the lineup. And it is also a bit different from most explorer yachts. Best regards Joakim
What is different btw 72 vs 75 hull shape....? Hard chine vs round hull ? Are their any stability different? Safety? Recovery angle? Following sea handle different? Thanks. Love your content ❤❤
Thanks for your review. I enjoy your RUclips channel. As a suggestion for future reviews, have you looked at the Maverick 95? It’s a 95 ft steel hulled kuipers doggersbank. Claimed 6000nm range at 9 plus knots. Heavy displacement. Low A/B ratio. Protected props. Would be interested in your take on this expedition yacht, currently for sale out of NZ.
I have just had a look at this fantastic vessel 😍 I plan to make her the subject of my next video. She looks very similar to the Privateer Trawler Yachts. Sadly, they seem to have gone out of business thou
That’s great to hear. Your mention of the Privateer yachts interests me. I saw reviews of them some years ago, I liked their design and steel hulls and then, as you say, they seem to have gone out of business.
It's a shame, as the Trawler Yacht market is really starting to gain some traction. If only they had been able to hold out for another couple of years.
Amazing phantasmagoric explorer. Can you please tell me what you think of a cruising speed of 8 knots. What do you think of a cruising speed of 15 knots and a maximum of 25 knots for a boat like this. Could the boat handle speeds like that. Would you recommend those speeds at the cost of ar eduction in range. Also Bering yachts are made of steel but what bout aluminium construction. how does that affect a boats performance and stability in really heavy weather. Wouldnt that give you more range as it would be significantly lighter. Thank you for the review
There is no way this yacht could do 15 or 25 knots. It is a full displacement vessel with a max speed of 10 knots and is made to cruise efficiently at 7-8 knots.
True: You should not compare. The Bering stands above. The Fleming and Nordhaven are coastal vessels; short-mid range, made of GRP, what I call recreational vessels. The Bering is blue water, long range, made of steel. I have sailed a Fleming: lovely yacht, but I would not trust my life to it during a North Atlantic or a Cape storm when the waves are 30 metres. I have never heard anybody taking such craft into such storms and surviving. I would have far more assurance with a steel-hulled vessel of the Bering design and specifications. Berings are more ship than yacht.
Lovely lines on this one, but I'm in love with the 77 trawler and I just can't see much else. Probably has something to do with my domestic blindness 😊
There are other boats out there able to do 20 or 30 kn case of emergency I love lots of things that this boat offers however if they could improve on this particular matter it’ll be more peeling to other customers!!!
Well since they have discontinued the 65 and the 77 there are not many choices. They have not shown a price or built one so a real walkaround is not possible. I guess smaller yachts are not as profitable. If others can build the 40s and 50 why not Bering. I would much perfer the steel over GRP,
Very nice ship and stunning concept . But my private opinion is that i would never build a ship in turky , the quality of craftmenship you cant compare with yachts from netherlands or german . Turky quality isnt realy on top , the same like chinese trawlers built by nordhaven , as example . But the design is a big number , thats like a trawler have to look .
What do you know about it? German and Dutch yards do build perfect boats...for northern Europe but most of them don't have air conditioning and usually no stabilization because they're built for inland waterways and short passages found there. Nordhavn's are heavily built and well built with the owner participating to whatever degree they choose. Flemings are even better built and compare favorably to anything produced by the teutonic yards. I spent several days aboard a Vicem 92 (Turkish build) and was very impressed with the quality. We encountered some rough weather off the Oregon coast and she wasn't creaking or groaning as we slammed our way through it. We put in at Newport with precarious conditions still prevelant and had plenty of power and control while negotiating the bar crossing. My point is that Yachts are built for different things and what is suitable for one area is not suitable for another.
I think you will find that Bering yachts are built as well as any Dutch or German boats. Strength and seakeeping are at the top of their build demands. If I had the money I’d be seriously interested in a Bering.

They have come a long way since I first started following them in 2012 🌊
Love Bering’s design philosophy. Love those two props! Steel hull, go anywhere expedition mini ship. Alexei, you’re the best.
The Berring 77 is my favorite yacht. The Berring 72 is my second choice.

Thanks for your comments shipmate - I really appreciate your support and positive feedback :-) #BZ
Outstanding yacht construction quality, workmanship, design.. AWESOME!
Glad you like it! Thanks for watching!
Absolutely gorgeous craft
I really like the Bering’s. They give us everything we need and nothing we don’t. The 72 is the perfect owner- operator vessel. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed the video 🙌 thanks for watching and for leaving a comment 👍
I love Bering boats! It really shows that the CEO and owner worked in the Bering Sea fishing and crabbing. Being from Seattle I'm very familiar with the fishing vessels of the Bering sea.
Very cool!
What a stunning piece of kit. The perfect owner go anywhere or very close to it.
100% 🙌
In my opinion Bering Yachts are a very serious company that build a good quality yachts. I would trust to travel around the world on one of their yachts.
This is a beauty of a yacht for sure! And sturdy to boot! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching and for leaving a comment 🙌
I love the lines and the placement of the pilot house.

I absolutely love these trawler yachts over the typical white fancy ones.
As do I but can’t stand the modern interiors.
Bering seems to be doing everything right, great company.
Hey, this is my favourite yacht: it's on my dream board, top of my goal's list, ....and my screensaver.

Very good description of the ship And I like the way the ship has its layout of the vehicle
Thanks for watching :-)
I like the Bering 72!
Fantastic
J'adore !
Very nice indeed..😎
🙌
My favorite Bering
I love these Bering yachts. If I ever win the lottery I’m buying one but I will have a crew and maybe a little bigger
Your are right. Great video and description of the best trawler out there for sure.
Thanks for watching and thanks for the positive comment :-) I appreciate it!
It is a real beauty.
Bering are the best.
Love it

The Bering is my favorite. I like it better than the Nordhavn's! Just a beautify boat.
The Bering 130 looks outstanding.

Agreed, the 77 is the Jewel in the Bering Crown!
@@markhill9275 Recently renamed the "82", even though it's still 77 feet. It's just the Name change, not the overall ship.
Beautiful lay-out. Nice lines. Big bathrooms. I'm in doubt now between Outer reef 720 and Bering 72. Is it possible to customize interior? very chic yacht.
I believe so; From what I have seen, Bering are quite open to working with clients re customisation etc.
This, to me, is perfect.
I'm sure you could fit another 5ish solar panels on it, and get a bit of extra autonomy
If you compare the older B80 with the new one they are building, it appears they are upgrading all of their designs to have the larger windows.

Feeding the algo.
Thank you 🙌 I appreciate it 🍻
I like B77, love the bridge even more compare to B72 👍👍
🙌
I would like to join you on one of your journeys on rough seas! Lived on ships my whole life
Now we just need to find a boat and some gnarly weather lol
@@YachtBuoy hopefully I can buy a Bering later haha
A Euromillions Jackpot win and I am buying one of these for a round the world trip.
Remember to email me so I can come and do a feature on it 🙌
Does anyone know the cost of this B72?

Looks amazing to me and just what I want. But oh the fuel costs!
I would love some electric engines like on the silent 80
That would be cool!

I don't know, the B75 makes my heart tick just a little faster than this one. It's the top that makes it, don't love "flybridges"...
Difficult choise.... Bering or Nordhavn.... Both great ship builders.
Silent 80

Lekker man lekker
🙌
Lekker Gerhard Lekker again
Berings and Allseas are the best. Anyone building an expedition yacht out of GRP is just having a laugh.
I like hte B75 but not with carpet 🙂
❤❤❤

It sort of looks like Is the nordhaven yachts
Where are the life rafts
It look like shoes box
Do yourself a favor and get on board and do a real walkthrough.
I would love to 🛥 hopefully, once hull #1 of the 72 has been built then I might get an invite from Bering 👍
But give me a 77
