Although I have mad respect for all the holomems I primarily only watch the EN girls so I've never really been exposed to this song but one other time before when I didn't even know the name. Regardless, when I saw this I nearly shed a tear because I'm proud of the girls and how far they've come. They're what I look forward to watching these days, not tv, movies, or streaming services like Netflix. I love seeing the girls having fun and having fun with each other, even though I know playing a game for one's own enjoyment and playing for an audience are two different things. One of the best New Years gifts ever imho, they're even giving a massive shout out to all the Clippers who have helped made HoloLive so much more accessible to people. Lord knows my crappy internet would not make it through a stream, I've tried so many times, so all I can do is to watch the archives and the Clippers allow me to find the ones I'd enjoy watch in full. It feels like we've gone full circle. Most of us saw our first glimpse of Hololive with the original cover by the JP girls or the EN girls when they first debuted. Now that it's been over a year and we've matured in our enjoyment of Hololive seeing this done by the EN girls makes it extremely emotional. At least to me anyway.
My first exposure was the EN girls, actually. I think I saw a Gura clip for some reason and I was like 'okay, this is funny, so who is this?' From there, I watched the EN girl debuts and eventually found my way over to some of the JP members, too. I still don't watch the JP members as much becaues I started with EN, but I still have some I like watching quite a bit, including the best doggo Korone. So seeing these guys get their own "Anthem" song cover was... really, really cool to see. And a lot of these girls, especially Myth, really deserve it. All the hardships a lot of the Myth girls had to face, the adversity for being the first EN girls, some of their pasts catching up to them and weighing on them... they deserve it. Nowadays, I'm actually more into the indie Vtubers on Twitch. There's so many cool people out there doing Vtubing now, it's crazy. So many of the ones I've met are just really inclusive and have warm personalities. I'm even a personal friend to one that's been growing rather fast on Twitch lately. Only a few months old and already gets 150 - 250+ members a stream. It's crazy.

All those subbed and vertical clips raining down on smartphones in the interlude, though? Probably a quiet ad for HoloEN's official shorts channel.
I just call this the Anthem and it was really good. The mouth movements was weird to see sometimes bc their 2d models never made those movements. Some of them sound differently than what I am used to, idk if that was auto tuned or just the studio mixing.
