they took us to the house of blues in middle school when i lived in LA, I wont forget that day when i found true sweet love, I fell in love with the blues..
this is an interesting interaction, John is like the young gun, going fast and up and down the neck trying to impress BB...and BB is showing him that less is sometimes more, and just playing with so much soul. Love them both.

+Travis H incorrect. This is student and master bud. He plays faster because his Strat doesn't have the sustain Lucille has.. Lucille is buttery smooth and BB speaks with guitar in fewer words than when he was younger. The fluidity and master craft combined with passion from BB.. And those signature vibratos.. Untouched.
+707king I was judging by how their solos make me feel. John's playing was a lot more interesting and gave me chills. BB's playing didn't really make me feel anything and weren't interesting. It's just opinion I guess.
Mayers a freakin beast.. How can someone talk bad about Mayers playing when he solo'd over the changes perfectly. He had no flaws in his playing and neither did B.B. They both did well and I don't mind listening to anyone of them anytime of the week. I can appreciate the great contribution they both give to blues and music in general.
The funny thing about all these ppl hating on john mayer is that i havent seen any of these idiots playing with BB king and living a musicians dream. You have to think about how nervous or intimidated he must be trying to impress the great BB king so give the man a break.

Id love to see you do this and call it simple. It really isn't, not as well as his licks the speed he's playing alone is difficult. Everyone gives Mayer smack but he genuinely is a great guitarist, and this shows his roots of guitar. Stop hatin
BB King has THE best tone, and Mayer is such an amazing guitarist, and yea, you can see pure admiration, respect and reverence when he's watching BB, or even talking about him.
