well the song is not supposed to be sensual or seducting, it's Jimin's interpretation. the original choreography is painful, expressing struggle and trauma which the song is actually about. Taemin has other sensual songs like Move or Want, it's not this one, that's why you don't see him going for that vibe and why you shouldn't even compare them based on it

1:56 I quite disagree with your statement from here on out, sorry. I'm not saying that "all eyes aren't on Jimin" but rather "all eyes are on both of them actually." And people might disagree with my following statement but I personally expected a lot and was even really excited for Jimin to do the challenge with Taemin but for some reason, the vibe feels a bit off to me in the beginning. Idk if its the angle or the body roll itself or Jimin's clothes (not giving me a clear view of angles) but I was looking for the beautiful body line/sillouette that I often see when Taemin does that part of the choreo which his female back up dancers always ate up btw. And I'm saying this because Jimin has quite a similar dance style as Taemin so I have really high expectations on Jimin doing the challenge, I mean he still was fire, I was just put off at the beginning for some reason. Jimin always has a nice dance line and I was really ready for these two to really match off in this challenge, I was ready to fangirl mode way too hard (I still did because their interaction is always something to get excited about since they're close friends but just dancewise alone, not so much), the energy at the beginning was somehow not giving me much feels than I anticipated. Jimin is still really great at dancing though, I would say the challenge they did together previously with SHINee's "Hard" was so much better and giving off the same vibe right off the bat. It took awhile for me on this one...
i'm sorry, Jimin didn't make the dance 'better', i'm not sure why so many people even treat it as a competition and compare 2 friends while not knowing a single thing about the original song and artist the original choreography isn't supposed to be sexy or seductive, Jimin just interpreted it like that and added what wasn't there in the first place because of the opposite message if you'll watch the original video and Taemin's performances, you'll see that it's about traumatic event, abuse, sexualization, control, full of pain and struggle. the movement symbolizes revealing, being exposed and vulnerable, judging the viewer because they see something they're not supposed to see, not seducting them with bodyrolls or sensual facial expressions just because Taemin knows what his own song is about and dances it differently doesn't mean it's worse, nor that Jimin's dance is worse because he dances it differently. Taemin has many actual sensual songs and he can be very seductive when needed, but this song is just not about it to go full in with that
Sorry, I really didn't wanna say something but I honestly think that Taemin really wasn't overshadowed in any way. Personally, Jimin did great but Idk why the vibe wasn't quite right to me when he did the dance and I guess your explanation here made me understand that feeling. And you know, Jimin is another artist who's dancing style is quite similar to Taemin so I truly expected so much from him, still great that they did the challenge together though. I'm not even gonna deny that Taemin is my ult bias but I'm also a BTS fan and knows how great a dancer Jimin is so I guess I was expecting a near same interpretation. This is to say that between Taemin and Jimin during that collab performance they did way back, I truly hand it to Jimin because I truly find his performance there quite better than Taemin's although they both stated that they weren't fully prepared (little practice time) and tired (especially Jimin) on that performance... So yeah, I actually acknowledge Jimin's skills so I expected a lot... this is my own perception though.

well the song is not supposed to be sensual or seducting, it's Jimin's interpretation. the original choreography is painful, expressing struggle and trauma which the song is actually about. Taemin has other sensual songs like Move or Want, it's not this one, that's why you don't see him going for that vibe and why you shouldn't even compare them based on it

1:56 I quite disagree with your statement from here on out, sorry. I'm not saying that "all eyes aren't on Jimin" but rather "all eyes are on both of them actually." And people might disagree with my following statement but I personally expected a lot and was even really excited for Jimin to do the challenge with Taemin but for some reason, the vibe feels a bit off to me in the beginning. Idk if its the angle or the body roll itself or Jimin's clothes (not giving me a clear view of angles) but I was looking for the beautiful body line/sillouette that I often see when Taemin does that part of the choreo which his female back up dancers always ate up btw. And I'm saying this because Jimin has quite a similar dance style as Taemin so I have really high expectations on Jimin doing the challenge, I mean he still was fire, I was just put off at the beginning for some reason. Jimin always has a nice dance line and I was really ready for these two to really match off in this challenge, I was ready to fangirl mode way too hard (I still did because their interaction is always something to get excited about since they're close friends but just dancewise alone, not so much), the energy at the beginning was somehow not giving me much feels than I anticipated. Jimin is still really great at dancing though, I would say the challenge they did together previously with SHINee's "Hard" was so much better and giving off the same vibe right off the bat. It took awhile for me on this one...

i'm sorry, Jimin didn't make the dance 'better', i'm not sure why so many people even treat it as a competition and compare 2 friends while not knowing a single thing about the original song and artist
the original choreography isn't supposed to be sexy or seductive, Jimin just interpreted it like that and added what wasn't there in the first place because of the opposite message
if you'll watch the original video and Taemin's performances, you'll see that it's about traumatic event, abuse, sexualization, control, full of pain and struggle. the movement symbolizes revealing, being exposed and vulnerable, judging the viewer because they see something they're not supposed to see, not seducting them with bodyrolls or sensual facial expressions
just because Taemin knows what his own song is about and dances it differently doesn't mean it's worse, nor that Jimin's dance is worse because he dances it differently. Taemin has many actual sensual songs and he can be very seductive when needed, but this song is just not about it to go full in with that
Sorry, I really didn't wanna say something but I honestly think that Taemin really wasn't overshadowed in any way. Personally, Jimin did great but Idk why the vibe wasn't quite right to me when he did the dance and I guess your explanation here made me understand that feeling. And you know, Jimin is another artist who's dancing style is quite similar to Taemin so I truly expected so much from him, still great that they did the challenge together though. I'm not even gonna deny that Taemin is my ult bias but I'm also a BTS fan and knows how great a dancer Jimin is so I guess I was expecting a near same interpretation. This is to say that between Taemin and Jimin during that collab performance they did way back, I truly hand it to Jimin because I truly find his performance there quite better than Taemin's although they both stated that they weren't fully prepared (little practice time) and tired (especially Jimin) on that performance... So yeah, I actually acknowledge Jimin's skills so I expected a lot... this is my own perception though.
taemin’s strength is all about subtlety. even in move he doesn’t dance in a way that is overly sexy and seductive. he already knows he looks alluring hence doesnt need to show extra moves or sexy lip biting 🤮 these idols dont know anything about it. they only know sexy = bodyroll lol. this reactor is so fucking ignorant but what do you expect.

I love Taemin's music and he & Jimin are great friends. They have many similarities and it's so easy to see them and why they just fit!! I have never checked out SHINee, but love Taemin high production sounding tracks. There's a big, dramatic voice in that small frame.
