how have i ended up here, with you of all people? it's been quite some time. it is good to see you are doing well, or well enough at least. you wouldn't know, recognize, remember, or even see me. unless in a faint dream. that's how i remember. you were so full of energy and fear, but it's ok now. that was a long time ago. you forgot that nightmare, that dark horse that took the sweet from your dreams. he remembers you though. he is still there. he is just hiding. you fear bigger things now. failure, loneliness, finances. wasn't it easier with the dark horse? wasn't the nightmare better? i now ride that nightmare. it was so much easier when you feared it. maybe i should ride him through your dreams one last time? no. it wouldn't be the same. the nightmare would feel as though a comfort. a break from the outside world, but maybe its what you need? a reminder that the only things to fear are what lives in you. yes. that will do for now. i will ride the nightmare, the dark horse, through your dreams soon. try. try to see my face this time. try to remember me. try not to forget what fear should be. will you? keep the memories of what i bring. fear the face i bear. remember that fear lives inside you, not outside. remember...
