Lots of other doll artist were having so much trouble with the original face paint. Mattel doesn’t play 😂

I saw the original doll and I was like, "Yeah, you cute." Then I watched her repaint it and I was like bloody stunned. I can't wait for the rest.

Why didn't they choose her to design the BTS dolls? She did so much better than the company did!
Elise 26 probably because its mass produce? She only repaints once, but imagine hand painting one thousand dolls and there are 7 members so you imagine it. I think for $20 they're ok, not good but not that bad either. If you want an exact replica, try looking for BJD dolls, they're more realistic, but they're more expensive.

14:20 "that blue haired one" used to be Suga since he got blue-ish hair in two serperate comebacks - the second one was during DNA era and the recognition it got was pretty remarkable (RM also got blue hair twice but BTS wasn't as well-known back then so it didn't get as much recognition)
But a LOT more people got to know about BTS with the release of Boy With Luv so now most people think of V when someone says "blue haired BTS member".

A Korean Boy Group . (Korean Pop or Kpop)
and the doll that Maryna repainted is V or Kim Taehyung one of the vocalist in the band .

It's great that mattel thinks that V has abs but i actually prefer V's actual regular tummy. They must've thought that every BTS members have abs and tbh I think the only difference is the head and outfits. I wish they actually added the individual appearances of each members but okay I guess. Let's not be to greedy atleast we have BTS dolls.👀❤

Black Rise Yeah that’s what I was thinking too! The boys have so many iconic looks it’s kind of hard to choose just one and I kind of love sewing so making all the outfits sounds like a really fun idea to me 👌🏼 I honestly wish they hadn’t chosen to make dolls based on their Idol looks - half and half works on Tae irl but Ik I would have preferred any other hair colour for his doll 😅
V had blue hair for just a really short period of time, so I wouldn't say it is his iconic hairstyle, but it surely is one of it's best ones, so I'm glad you chose it!!

They do it to other groups too I’m not too into BTS but I know the fancams and stuff when they take pics of monsta X members they always whiten their skin like let them be natural 🥺 mattel made them all the same skin tone which is disappointing but honestly this is one of my favourite reprints of hers as a kpop fan

For us it's a big thing. For them it's not. Never noticed that some idols complained how tanned they got when they were a lot outside? Being tanned is not good for them. That's their society. Of course we think there is nothing bad. But a long time ago the heirs , kings , queen's and stuff were fake af. They had money. They never went outside. All those ppl wo had money too but had to do some work were a bit more tanned. And the poor ppl worked outside all day. They were tanned af. So. It's a historical thing. And we should accept that. I hope I could explain it kind of ok. English is not my native tounge.

I wouldn't really say that blue hair is Taehyung/V's most iconic hairstyle, but it's certainly amazing and you did an awesome job!
If you're wondering why these dolls look the way they do, you have to know that these were announced when they released the IDOL MV. But it took a while for Mattel to get them out, and in the meantime BTS released other music, another MV (Boy With Luv) and went on a world tour (which is were those pictures you referenced came from).
Anyway, amazing repaint and just all around beautiful work you did on this doll! Can't wait for you to work on Namjoon/RM~
I wouldn't say it either but when she said that it made me happy to know that they've been through so many looks and styles that we all have our own idea of what we like to see on the dolls. In all she picked a fun color and laid back style for V. If I was going to choose a look I am still in love with Mic Drop era V with a bandana. ❤

BTS is a Korean group famous worldwide. They have 7 members and are well known for being different from other types of boybands, being UNICEF ambassadors and having amazing self produced lyrics talking about self love, youth, mental health, political issues. I recommend them a lot for everybody, listen to their songs without prejudice and you gonna love it!

The doll's facial features looked more like Taehyung before the repaint, but It's just because she isn't super familiar with them. The doll looks great though! And BTS are really kind, hard-working, and funny people. I would suggest watching introductions to them and also just random videos? I first got into them after watching a video called "BTS being extra af in America..''.. it's really entertaining-
and they make songs in literally every genre, so even if you don't like one, you'll definitely find a different one you like. They like to experiment with their music : D

I know nothing about BTS, but I just wanted to say how much I love your acrylic yarn to acrylic hair work, on this and in general! It always looks excellent. I'm also enamored with your Converse transformation! I always get a kind of weird Uncanny Valley feeling about dolls' solid color shoes with no contouring or shading because they're small enough not to form their own natural shadows on the details. Your total recolor did an excellent job of bringing out the details and making the shoes look less strange. Kudos!

I don’t know how I ended up here but I was not disappointed with the transformation you made that doll go from tragic looking to beautiful also thoroughly impressed with the amazing recreation of the iconic blue hair
