Not really. Edwards literally made gun signs and kept saying "head shot" dead after knocking Usman out cold, and mentioned Usman's dad being in prison during the buildup for the trilogy if I remember it correctly. It's all entertainment at the end and Edwards gonna be happy when he sees the PPV buys due to Colby's trash talk.
Robert brought up something that I saw nobody else bring up, and that's how Colby had to get into the fire and close the distance to be able to pressure and shoot and he just couldn't, Leon was too fast for him, he usually throws a bunch of shots then shoots under but Leon was seeing those from a mile away
The problem is when they have a mastery of the distance you will get countered on the entry and exit. And the opportunities will not always present themselves when your strikes don't offer threat.
It wasn’t that he couldn’t. He hadn’t fought in years and was unwilling to take any type of damage in order to get his game plan off. It is sad but Colby’s old now and he looked it. His striking is shit and he should retire now

And then in the 4th and 5th he had decent success take leon down, but at that point leon had more in the tank still so colby couldnt do anything with the takedown. Leon is definitively good but it seemed like that wasn't the colby we are used to

@@talhaejax8589 yeah, but it was like rob said. Colby only had control for the last minute. And even then, he was just spamming little punches to the body instead of going for a finish. The rest of that round was Leon controlling Colby and almost getting a choke

I've read the last chapter of a book first 2 or 3 times. Specifically for some murder mystery novelists. Leon did a great job keeping the fight at a range that kept Colby's attacks at bay and ineffective, that much is very true. However much of this has to do with the fact Colby did nothing to put on the pressure himself. From the very start, he backed up and tried to play a timid kickboxing game.
Rob has blitz, jab, straight right hand, right high kick, stomp to the leg/oblique kick, double leg take down, single leg takedown and body lock takedown. And Sean has jab, straight right hand, front kick to the body and good striking difference. They both lack power but Rob is much more well raunded and faster than Sean. Would love to see them fight, sooner rather than later. Only critisizem of Rob that I have is lack of head movement some times. And when he is throwing his left hook he is not sitting on it, it is more of an arm punch than a full body punch so it loses a lot of power. God bless!
I dont think it was staged, i think drunkk childhood beatings from your dad are a real thing. leons fathers murder could have been the driving force to why leon joined a gym and became champion, and rage beatings sean describes could also be aswell. I think we all know not to poke the bear, doesnt matter who you are.
people don't understand, for Colby to shoot, Leon has to be in place, in distance, if he's not close its gonna look very sloppy like a couple of times that it did
Bobby knucks y’all should do fighter interviews it would be dope plus it would be easy to get guest, pretty much every fighter respects you except Strickland. I liked Strickland until he talked shit to you
Leon was cold and calculated during fight night. The commentary team kept insisting that it wasn't a good look for Leon to end the fight on his back but he was in complete control throughout the fight and he wasn't hurt or tired.
Leon also did nothing that entire fight lol. A few leg kicks and that’s about it. Leon and Belal as champions are the most boring champs on earth. At least khabib would constantly ground and pound 😂
Thompson needs to go to Karate Combat. He'd kill everyone over there. He's not getting the belt in UFC. Might as well go over there where you get to stand up all the time.
I love how Johnny even though not being a professional fighter, understands and appreciates the different aspects of the fights. Question: What is your fondest gaming memory? A stellar episode :).
Loving the pod more and more each week boys. The more in depth and honest opinions and takes on the fights are so refreshing. You can tell they are genuine and aren’t just regurgitated from other peoples recaps. Love it! Question for you both, other than anime, do you watch any movies/series and if so what are your faves?
2011 HAS be the best year of gaming EVER, we had Skyrim, uncharted 3, skyward sword, MW3, dead space 2, DARK SOULS, dragon age 2, the Witcher 2, assassins creed, GEARS OF WAR 3, dead island, Arkham city, portal 2, Pokémon black and white. And it goes on. That’s just from memory I don’t think I left my house aside for wrestling practice for 2 years while I played them all😂
It seems like every fight leon wins the opponent has bad knees, he’s old, ring rust, has an off night lol. Just accept he’s the best in the world at the weight

people don't understand, for Colby to shoot, Leon has to be in place, in distance, if he's not close its gonna look very sloppy like a couple of times that it did
didnt Leon piece up and nearly finish Belal in their first fight? dont think its as hard of a fight even though Belal is improved since then
Finish by eye poke
Yeah smoking him for the 1 rd, belal didn’t get close to him
Was easy winning rd 1. Shoulda rematched immediately though
Nice way to say he point fought to the win. Boring fight from a guy he easily could've dog walked but prefered the 0 risk izzy approach
Isn’t a good look hahaha. Do they know anything about the way fights are judged, on effective damage largley
It didn’t look good because he had 3 rounds won and Colby couldn’t do anything to him. Why not throw more combos and take him out?
Rob is always classy 👍🏻 much love! ❤️
Does anyone remember the game Alex the kid on Sega master system.😂
Thompson needs to go to Karate Combat. He'd kill everyone over there. He's not getting the belt in UFC. Might as well go over there where you get to stand up all the time.
I love how Johnny even though not being a professional fighter, understands and appreciates the different aspects of the fights.
Question: What is your fondest gaming memory?
A stellar episode :).
Thank you mate, that means a lot 💪🏼
Wow this guy thinks Colby won 2 rounds? Rob you need to talk to this guy mate, he is clueless😂
Colby only won last 40 seconds of the 5th … This was one sided fight .. All 5 rounds Leon won . 5-0 for Leon
The commentary team is getting worse every card. Getting a bit tired of Rogan and DC tbh..
Fun Fact: Rob says “I don‘t know“ at least 5 times each podcast
Make it into a drinking game
The UFC Rankings have nothing to do with Dana or the UFC, the Media vote on who goes where.
Colby 100 % was CRYING 😭😭😭🍼 before the Post fight presser !!!!
🍿🍿🍿
In terms of commentary when DC and Joe get together its a disaster, they need to have Felder or Cruz with either DC or Joe (plus goat Jon Anik)
