From what I’ve studied Luxembourg and Marx/Engels are mostly coherent. You could argue Luxembourg disagreed with Lenin (who isn’t a key thinker but will show your knowledge). Lenin argued for an elite to overthrow the bourgeoise in a planned revolution while Luxembourg believed a spontaneous revolt among the proletariat would see a successful revolution
Maybe look at the point that they both think a society needs to be at for revolution? Luxembourg also wants to replace capitalism initially with unlimited democracy based on worker's councils whilst Marx wants a dictatorship of the proletariat. Gl tomorrow !! :)
Thanks Alan. This is a decent summary. My one thought though would be that essays which choose a thematic approach do significantly better than those which have a for / against (dialectic!) structure. The choosing of themes, though, is tricky for the human nature / society / state / economy questions. I encourage students to choose 3 from the key concepts / other areas (hn / society etc.) which are the best fit, so for a question focusing on the economy, for example, students may choose equality, state control / influence, and attitudes to capitalism. Oh, and it’s Crosland not Crossland.
she's a democratic socialist so it means she falls under the other revisionist/evolutionary socialists, of which their way and social democrats also are.
my goat
icl shush he’s my goat
Thank you Alan!
Welcome!
Would anyone know how to distinguish between Luxembourg and Marx/Engels, if I was trying to show disagreements within revolutionary socialism?

Rosa luxemburg set up the german communist party, which faced criticism from marxists and leninists
Luxemburg was also anti-nationalist, opposing ww1

How come you kept on using Beatrice Webb in agree paragraphs even though she isn't a social democrat or third way thinker
she's a democratic socialist so it means she falls under the other revisionist/evolutionary socialists, of which their way and social democrats also are.
there's different strands of socialism.
