    I downgraded my iPhone 6s to iOS 10.3.3 using the Limefix Blackbird utility! I'm actually daily driving it since I broke my 11 Pro Max. Also I like how you sorted your dock to the colors of the rainbow.

      Restore your iPhone 4 back to iOS 7.1.2, clear its NVRAM, and reattempt the downgrade.

    I have an iphone 2g that had jailbreak, I reset it and after doing so it started to loop the apple logo. I looked into it and I think it's because it had jailbreak and this caused the apple loop. can you help me? can this application help me? I tried to put it in dfu mode and reset it from both mac and windows always using itunes but nothing. I put it in itunes mode with the itunes logo and tried to reset it but nothing, can you help me?

      Is iTunes giving you error 9? If so, then your iPhone has a dead NAND, part of its logic board.

      @@TheiTunesFanboy thanks for your reply. it doesn't give me any error number, when i try to reset it from itunes i get this message: iphone was previously in dfu mode, but it restarted and that mode has been deactivated. to restore iphone from dfu mode, disconnect and reactivate the mode. i have already tried to redo dfu mode several times but i always get the same message.

      No, but it will hide the Apple logo for the first few seconds of booting.

      Whilst there is no Windows method for this, there is a Linux version of Legacy iOS Kit.

    Will a 3,1 manufactured in 2011 work with iOS 4? I found a 16GB one, and I’ll buy it for Christmas to downgrade it to iOS 4

      If it was manufactured before October 2011, it should work with iOS 4. I don’t know about units that were manufactured later, though.

      Just retry it or else try a different firmware, for I could never get my GSM iPhone 4 to restore to iOS 4.3.x.

    i have an issue with a gsm iphone 4, i tried to reset nvram cuz my cydia had an issue which said incorrect certificates so im trying to restore back to ios 7.1.2 but its having issues saying didnt detect recovery mode etc when it is in dfu mode. please help

      Try to use Pluvia to reset the NVRAM on your iPhone.

      if u want to unbrick it if something goes wrong just 1. make a backup so you dont lose ur data 2. go to dfu mode and restore through itunes

    hello, i followed your guide and always stuck on : about to restore device, and then waiting for device for a few minutes, and it failed. i already cleared the NVRAM, any help?
    edit: i have a macbook pro 2013 with MacOS Sonoma installed, does this creating another issue?

      The patched version of macOS may be the issue, but I doubt it. Here is an alternative tool that you can attempt to reset the NVRAM on your iPhone 4 with if it is GSM: github.com/parrotgeek1/Pluvia

      @@TheiTunesFanboy i have downgraded the OS back to BigSur which the latest my Mac officially supported, but got the same issue, i will try to clear NVRAM again
      Edit: I tried using pluvia, restore and create clear NVRAM ipsw with it, and the problem still persists on this line : about to restore the device ----> Waiting for device

    I used this method and unable to turn into dfu mode in last step, and my phone turned into a brick now,always in recovery mode even I used finder for restore but after restore still in revcovery mode, do you know what happened?

    Might do this to go for iOS 5 and iOS 7.0.x as I only got iOS 4 and 6 iPhone 4 models. For 4s, I got all version especially one on 5.0 (aka a very rare iPhone 4s)

    Having problems with entering pwnd DFU mode on macOS Monterey and Catalina. When I select 1) ipwnder it says " [Error] Failed to reconnect to device" and after it, it says " [Error] Failed to enter pwnDFU mode. Please run the script again.".
    When I select 2) ipwndfu it does doing stuff and then says "[Error] Failed to enter pwnDFU mode. Please run the script again.".
    Any tips?

I wanted to downgrade because my iPhone had icloud on it ,but it turns out that activation lock is also a thing on iOS 5.1.1 🤣 I thought that activation lock and the whole icloud stuff was introduced in iOS 7 but I was wrong

    i have an iphone 4 gsm model that was manufactured in may/june of 2010 based off the serial number (which means its one of the earliest models and should support ios 4.0) yet im only able to get it on 4.3.5 ive tried 4.1 too and that didnt even work. and i confirmed after hours of testing that it's definitely device incompatibility. any suggestions? because i would love to find an iphone 4 where i could actually successfully downgrade to 4.0 on

      That is an issue I have heard of with other iPhone 4s. For example, I have never been able to restore the iPhone 4 I downgraded to iOS 4.0 to iOS 4.3.x, and I heard of someone else who couldn’t restore his iPhone 4 to iOS 5.

    Need help, After the part when it asks you if you want to send device into recovery mode when entering n for no it just did nothing at all after. It’s been 10 minutes and I’m trying to do it on iPhone 3,3. Any advice?

    This works in Linux too. I downgraded mine to 4.3.3 on my Ubuntu laptop, although sometimes Pwned DFU failed.

      I know that some iPhone 4s are picky about which versions they’ll downgrade to, for my GSM iPhone 4 refuses to downgrade to iOS 4.3.x and I have heard of someone else’s refusing iOS 5 but accepting 4 and 6.

    When i did this on high sierra 10.13.6 on itunes 12.7.4.80 it popped up with a “itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode” pop up and when i click no on enter recovery mode it says cant continue and when i click yes it continues but cant find it in recovery mode. I dont know what to do…

      Try entering Recovery Mode on your iPhone 4, then.
