The beedi rolling women's struggles and their efforts to provide for their families were beautifully portrayed, resulting in a truly powerful ending. I wholeheartedly recommend watching this movie. The acting was exceptional, and the story moved me to tears. The contrast between the low quality boiled rice (referred to as pichi pichi, meaning sticky) and the higher quality provided by the mother of the main character was both moving and touching. This film masterpiece deserves all the praise. Thank you to everyone involved in its creation.
It’s too good! A simple theme evoking the childhood of every tuluva, mainly detailing out the life of a lower middle class / poor family and their philosophy on life shows how different they are intellectually in understanding the real aesthetics of life in such small things which our current generation could never understand! Kudos to the team , this is just excellent work!
ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ತುಂಬಾ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮೂಡಿಬಂದಿದೆ. ಚಿತ್ರ ಕತೆ, ಕ್ಯಾಮೆರಾ, ನಿರ್ದೇಶನ ಫಸ್ಟ್ ಕ್ಲಾಸ್ . ನಾನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ನೋಡುವ ಅಂತ ನೋಡಿದ್ದು, ಆದರೆ ಕೊನೆವರೆಗೂ ನೋಡುವಷ್ಟು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿದೆ. ನನಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಬಾಲ್ಯದ ನೆನಪಾಗಿ ಕಣ್ಣು ತುಂಬಿ ಬಂತು. ಮೂವರೇ ನಟರನ್ನು ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಿ ಅದ್ಭುತವಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರು. ನಟನೆಯಂತೂ ನೈಜತೆಯಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದೆ. ಚಿತ್ರ ನೋಡಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ಬರೆಯಲೇ ಬೇಕೆನಿಸಿತು. ಆವಾರ್ಡ್ ಗೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯವಾದ ಚಿತ್ರ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ನೋಡಿ.
ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಉತ್ತಮ ಶಬ್ದಗಳಿಗೆ ಈ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಅರ್ಹವಾಗಿದೆ. ಕಣ್ಣೀರು ತರಿಸಿತು. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಶಾಲಾ ದಿನಗಳನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಸಿತು. ನಾನು ಹೈಸ್ಕೂಲ್ ಗೆ ಕಾಲಿಟ್ಟ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲೇ ಈ ಬಿಸಯೂಟ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬ ನೆನಪು ನನ್ನದು. ಅಂದರೆ 2005-06 ರ ಸಂದರ್ಭ. ಹಲವು ಸಲ ಈ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆ ನೋವಿಗೆ ನಾನೂ ತುತ್ತಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಹಲವು ದಿನ ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನದ ಮೇಲಿನ ರಜೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನದ್ದು ಹೊಟ್ಟೆ ನೋವು ಎಂಬ ಕಾರಣವೇ ಆಗಿತ್ತು. ಎಷ್ಟೊಂದು ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿ ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀರಿ ಸರ್. ಅದ್ಭುತ ನಟನೆ. ಕಾಲಲ್ಲಿ ಬಟ್ಟಲನ್ನು ಚೆಲ್ಲಿದ ಕ್ಷಣ ಮಾತ್ರ ಎದೆ ಚುರುಕ್ ಎಂದಿತ್ತು. ಬಟ್ ಅದು ನಿಜವೂ ಹೌದು. ತಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ಅದೆಷ್ಟು ಸಲ ಚೆಲ್ಲಿದ್ದೇವೆ ನಾವು. ಹ್ಯಾಟ್ಸಪ್ ಟೀಪ್. ಬೇಸರದ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ಚಿತ್ರ ನೋಡಿದ ಸಂತೋಷ.
ಹುಟ್ಟಿನಿಂದ ಈ ದಿನದವರೆಗೂ ಅನುಭವಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದ ವಿಚಾರಗಳು ಯಾವತ್ತೂ ಮರೆಯಲ್ಲ , ಅಂತಹ ಒಂದು ನೆನಪುಗಳನ್ನ ಮತ್ತೆ ಮರಕಳಿಸುವಂತೆ , ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಆಚಾರ ವಿಚಾರ ಸಂಪ್ರಾದಾಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆರೆತು ಕಲಿತು ಹುಟ್ಟಿ ಬೆಳೆದ ನನ್ನಂತವನಿಗೆ ಈ ಕಥೆ ನನ್ನದೆ ಅಂತನಿಸೊದು ನೂರರಷ್ಟು ನಿಜ , ಮತ್ತೆ ಬೇಕೆನಿಸಿದರೂ ಇವೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಮೊದಲಿನಂತೆ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿ ಮಾಡಿಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಅನುಭವಿಸೊದಕ್ಕಾಗಲ್ಲ ಅನ್ನೊ ಸತ್ಯ ಕಣ್ಣಂಚನ್ನ ಸಣ್ಣದಾಗಿ ಒದ್ದೆಯಾಗಿಸಿ ಮರೆಯಾದಂತಿತ್ತು. ಒಂದೊಳ್ಳೆ ಹೃದಯಸ್ಪರ್ಶಿ ಕಿರುಚಿತ್ರ...! ಮಸ್ತ್ ತ್ಯಾಂಕ್ಸ್ ಟೀಮ್ ಬಾಯಿಲ್ಡ್ ರೈಸ್..! ಇಂಚಿನ್ನ ಒಂಜಿ ಕತೆನ್ ಬರೆದ್ ಡೈರೆಕ್ಟ್ ಮಲ್ದಿನ ಜಯಂತ್ ಯಿರೆನ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗ್ ಮಲ್ಲ ನಮಸ್ಕಾರ ❤
Very nicely made movie. Megha acted very well. Manvith and Yogini did thier best. The picturisation is amazing! Well connected to our childhood. Many scenes resembled my childhood life. Dry fish, Ganji, Meen curry, Beedi rolling and packing, etc. Boiled rice with Meen curry is only the amazing food for us! Congrats to the entire team of Boiled Rice!

ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ತುಂಬಾ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮೂಡಿಬಂದಿದೆ. ಚಿತ್ರ ಕತೆ, ಕ್ಯಾಮೆರಾ, ನಿರ್ದೇಶನ ಫಸ್ಟ್ ಕ್ಲಾಸ್ . ನಾನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ನೋಡುವ ಅಂತ ನೋಡಿದ್ದು, ಆದರೆ ಕೊನೆವರೆಗೂ ನೋಡುವಷ್ಟು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿದೆ. ನನಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಬಾಲ್ಯದ ನೆನಪಾಗಿ ಕಣ್ಣು ತುಂಬಿ ಬಂತು. ಮೂವರೇ ನಟರನ್ನು ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಿ ಅದ್ಭುತವಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರು. ನಟನೆಯಂತೂ ನೈಜತೆಯಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದೆ. ಚಿತ್ರ ನೋಡಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ಬರೆಯಲೇ ಬೇಕೆನಿಸಿತು. ಆವಾರ್ಡ್ ಗೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯವಾದ ಚಿತ್ರ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ನೋಡಿ.

ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಉತ್ತಮ ಶಬ್ದಗಳಿಗೆ ಈ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಅರ್ಹವಾಗಿದೆ. ಕಣ್ಣೀರು ತರಿಸಿತು. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಶಾಲಾ ದಿನಗಳನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಸಿತು. ನಾನು ಹೈಸ್ಕೂಲ್ ಗೆ ಕಾಲಿಟ್ಟ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲೇ ಈ ಬಿಸಯೂಟ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬ ನೆನಪು ನನ್ನದು. ಅಂದರೆ 2005-06 ರ ಸಂದರ್ಭ. ಹಲವು ಸಲ ಈ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆ ನೋವಿಗೆ ನಾನೂ ತುತ್ತಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಹಲವು ದಿನ ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನದ ಮೇಲಿನ ರಜೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನದ್ದು ಹೊಟ್ಟೆ ನೋವು ಎಂಬ ಕಾರಣವೇ ಆಗಿತ್ತು. ಎಷ್ಟೊಂದು ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿ ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀರಿ ಸರ್. ಅದ್ಭುತ ನಟನೆ.
ಕಾಲಲ್ಲಿ ಬಟ್ಟಲನ್ನು ಚೆಲ್ಲಿದ ಕ್ಷಣ ಮಾತ್ರ ಎದೆ ಚುರುಕ್ ಎಂದಿತ್ತು. ಬಟ್ ಅದು ನಿಜವೂ ಹೌದು. ತಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ಅದೆಷ್ಟು ಸಲ ಚೆಲ್ಲಿದ್ದೇವೆ ನಾವು. ಹ್ಯಾಟ್ಸಪ್ ಟೀಪ್. ಬೇಸರದ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ಚಿತ್ರ ನೋಡಿದ ಸಂತೋಷ.
