This has more meaning nowadays with instagramers living their 15 seconds "experience"

Mind implies fear implies security implies image formation implies something permanent implies security implies mind thinking itself to be secure implies reality will hit implies pain implies go to step 1

This is a very very important conversation I feel all seekers (if I may use this word) should listen to and reflect upon before accepting or discarding anything blindly

I love the passion of Krishnamurti in this topic. We are all the same: our potential, our genius, our setbacks, vices, sins, etc. I got that clear when I studied several serial killers profiles. I realized something like "I could be them", which gave me compassion, perspective, empathy.

And by extension i would suggest that if someone says "i know myself".. then one should consider him to have fallen into a trap of self delusion.

    Driving fast in my car.
    Fantastic.
I hear a knocking sound, ah, just leave it for now.
The road flashes by, its great.
That knocking is getting louder, ah, it will be OK.
I can't be bothered right now, this car is great.
Now what is wrong, the engine won't start??
I'll have to look for a new car.
I'm sure I can find a better one.
    I hate engines.
Yeah, I saw a beauty today, I'm going to check it out tomorrow.
    Fantastic.

Inwardly and psychologically we don't want to work but for our livelyhood we strenuously work. We are ignoring our internal aspects. Experience in getting something strange or acquiring new knowledge is nothing but a futile exercise when we don't give the PRESENT to our internal aspects which is REAL

Experience is not THE NEW HAPPENING. Rather knowing which is already there. Mind already knew and there is no NEW for it to know!!!
It is not experience but IT IS TO BE WITH WHAT IS ALREADY THERE DEVOID OF TIME...

i think people use different definitions of theword "knowing".
what is currently experienced is also known in some way, it can be seen with more or less clearity.
but the memories of the past are also called "knowledge" but they are defenitely dead.

Awakening is not an experience, so if you crave the experience of awakening...you are stuck.

How can you know if an experience is new? One can, can't one? By comparing it with the previous experiences that I have, and by eliminating all that I have which are not the same as the supposedly new one - by doing so, I can come to the conclusion that it is the new experience.

You are right... I have the same thought but I'm guessing there's more to it... Especially since he mentioned, recognition... To recognize a person you should've already known that person, right? So, to recognize a new experience you should've already known or experienced before... I am kind of lost after that. It makes sense logically but I don't know how it relates to feelings.
When one feels something new, he has to recognize that it's new.... So if it's recognizable then how is it new? That's the point but I don't understand how someone has never done skydiving before, can't say it's a new experience... Because it surely is or at least I hope so .. maybe it's not supposed to be later too literally.... Maybe he is just referring to spiritual experiences.

I understand this way... It's the act of skiing or surfing or horse riding that can differ, one already recognises the pleasure or happiness u get out of it.. so it's not new .. it's like the old wine in new bottle..and that is why he calls self deception.

A Simple dumb question to destroy the whole idea.
If a small child travelled by a flight. He never ever saw an airplane. It was his first time travelling in a plane. Isn't this his a NEW experience?
Experiences can be new. Not to fall in illusion!

    • @vinayaksharma1353
      @vinayaksharma1353 10 месяцев назад

But the so called new experience will only happen when the child will associate the experience with his/her limited knowledge about the plain. Surely he will experience some elements which he never came across but the processing will be on the basis of his limited idea of his self, idea of parents being together, may be he will associate the experience with image of aeroplane he saw on a tv or book. That is never new, that is like putting one layer on another one but the center is always the past/thoughts/ images?
For instance if you get a chance to see a creature you never saw before, not even in media and it has a set of structure and body, your mind will try to relate to that creature according to your known images , it will try to make sense by that only. So you are actually experiencing what you already knew with elements of new layers.
