  • Campeche is NOT WHAT WE EXPECTED│First Impressions of Campeche, Mexico 2021
We have left Merida.. and made our way to beautiful CAMPECHE city in the state of Campeche, Mexico.
Guys & Girls this place is breathtaking (in a good way)
The architecture, the smiles, the laid back vibes and the amazing Malecón that seems to just go on forever!
We already cannot get enough of Campeche. We only booked ourselves in to stay here for TWO NIGHTS before we keep moving on to other parts of Mexico... but this place is calling us to stay longer (possibly)...
Our general first impressions of Campeche after being here for a few hours is that it is UNDER RATED as a tourist destination for Americans, Europeans etc. We have literally only seen a handful of tourists around here so far, and we were out at the pier at PEAK HOURS during dinner time. This blows our minds because of how simply stunning this place really is.
We are so incredibly excited to see more of Campeche, and take you all along on the journey with us.
    Much love,
    Luke & Naomi

The city of San Francisco de Campeche is beautiful, the state of Campeche has beautiful places to visit such as the archaeological sites of Edzná, Calakmul (mixed heritage of humanity by UNESCO), magical towns such as Isla Aguada and Palizada, the caves of Xtacumbilxunaán and cenotes, an incredible gastronomy. A great video, I hope you are can return to this beautiful state.

Thanks for the video! Two questions, how is internet generally? Thinking of a week or two but need strong wifi to work from Airbnb.
Second, what type of sling bag were you wearing on the walk? Looks handy.

We found the internet to be generally good in Campeche! We need strong internet too, and there’s definitely plenty of options on Airbnb for digital nomads etc!
We have 2 cross body bags, one is Tommy Hilfiger and the other one Naomi is wearing is Fila!
They were like €40 each and they work great for holding passports, phones, extra equipment etc ☀️
      Thanks for watching!!

Good video. You should have tried the different type of antojitos and tamales, close to the plaza (shown in the beggining) there's a row of fondas that are pretty good and cheap. Much better than any generic "chinese" platter (which is essentially the exact same on ALL mexican food courts)

Dude they can eat whatever they fracking wants. They don't have to eat tamales if they don't want.

Campeche City is a smaller town, so for a day or overnight trip, it is absolutely worth visiting. Beyond that, you'll want to head to other parts of Campeche, or the pueblo magico (magic town) of Valladolid, or even back to Merida

I agree with you that Campeche is very small. But you don't go through it in one day, not even if you were a flash. I was there for a week and I didn't have the time, just to go to Calakmul is 5 hours one way and 5 hours back total would be 10 and you are there 8 hours in that impressive place inside the jungle, you enjoy its very different gastronomy. We are talking about a whole day. The cenotones fence one of them, El Colorado with its one kilometer zip line and all those towns where the people are very nice you can not stop not stopping in each town. how did you tour campeche in one day?
      Isla aguada.
      Carmen City.
      champoton.
      Calkini.
      Calakmul.
Hezelchacan, their pork tacos there is nothing like it.
      Hopelchen.
Pomuch the town of incomparable bread.
      And many more !!
And in the very city of Campeche the sunset on 59th street every day is a party on that street, my God, I hope it gives me life to return. there are other towns that I don't remember but there is one that makes artisan hats by hand.
Impossible to cover it in one day. My respects to those in the video but the food they ate was Chinese food what??
That's why I'm going to China, in Campche you're going to eat seafood, panuchos, tostadas, tortas, tacos. that if everything is greasy just like chinese food.

Hey Bro, I’m going to Mexico next year for a month or two. How did you manage your money?

    • @sabiondocolors325
      @sabiondocolors325 2 года назад +1

Depending on your capital, how you want to be there in luxury or very exaggerated, because you can be comfortable and enjoy everything while taking care of your money. It is very important that you know where you are going and how much each thing costs and pay it in pesos, not in dollars. It will be difficult but it is not impossible.
Remember one dollar is equivalent to 21 pesos depending on how the change is. With 21 pesos you can buy a package of a torta and a delicious piggy taco 🌮.
clear in some places. the best food is not especially in hotels or luxury restaurants. Outside the center I eat well and it's cheap, where the people who live there eat. They call them economy kitchens.
      ( Cocinas Economicas )
The taxi to any point within the city of Campeche will take you for 45 pesos no more. To go to the towns you take the bus.
do not exchange money at the airport or at exchange houses. Better with your credit card, use it at the downtown ATMs and take out the money so that they give it to you in pesos. But make sure before you travel that you can use your card anywhere in Mexico with your password, ask your bank. I think it's the safest thing you can see, it worked for me.
A tip, every time I go to a country or town of the same I make friends who are natives of there that has served me a lot and helped me. but be very careful everywhere there are people who want to steal or take advantage of your money.
I made friends with a taxi driver and I always used the same one everywhere, I paid him and invited him to eat and he was happy. And he taught me a lot in Campeche, I got to know many places through him, he was very honest and when I can I call him from California to say hello and Raul is happy.
Good luck with your trip. I hope my experience will help you
