@@f4llenstarr for dom fike I’d just suggest a few synths. Analog lab is perfect, you don’t need any extra banks. Real guitar and some drum plug-in and you’re set

Question: how do you keep your guitars in tune when recording on Ableton? I have a squire strat and that thing jumps out of tune all the time- and when I put a capo on it’s like 50c out of tune :( pls help I also want to make music like this
Hey man, it all comes down to guitar unfortunately. You might want to get the thing setup (will cost around 150$). or you can install new tuning pegs and a new nut to make it all stay in tune more efficiently.
@@mtchlrtoo Thanks a bunch. Yea i paid about 50£ for it to get intonated and all that jazz, but i think it all comes down to the tuning pegs not being able to lock, like a standard strats would. thinking of getting a player tele in the future, my current strat also sounds super thin and whiny compared to your guitars.

That's a lot of plugins haha - do you get a discount or have a subscription that includes so many?
I'm asking because I am starting to look further into acquiring some (got a couple VSTs and then have downloaded a few free plugins) but many more to come. I do have the full ableton 12 suite and as you know it comes with quite a lot - however, what does it NOT have that I should absolutely look into plug-in-wise? I don't play the guitar or bass (just drums, some keys) - I make mostly indie, dance/funk inspired, groovy tunes if that helps you gauge where I should prioritize.
BTW was that your guitar playing, a recording/sample or a synth?

Yeah I’ve invested way too much money on plugins. For the most part I only use the plug-in alliance subscription bundle and the UAD subscription bundle, as well as fab filter pro Q and Saturn.
You definitely don’t need all these plugins to get started, in fact I’ve got tons of plugins I never use that I paid for.
One thing I would invest in if I were you are some good guitar amp sims. They’re not too expensive, I use NeuralDSP most of the time, and usually they go on sale for about 80$ a plug-in. I suggest archetype plini X. It’s super versatile. Otherwise for dynamics and modulation plugins, I absolutely love the UAD subscription bundle. And yes I recorded and processed the guitar loop!
What daw do you use and what daw is the best for recording indie type of vocals in your opinion? I started really getting into the indie sound a few months ago and I use fl studio! But unfortunately it doesn't capture the indie sound as well as I want it too
Any recommendations? I plan on going to school in August for music production and they basically teach you how to master industry level DAWS and teach you how to use the plug ins properly but I can't wait for that long
@@weluvumarii all DAWs sound the same, it’s about how you record and process, I used FL for a while too. I use Ableton, industry professionals use pro tools and now Logic, but they all do the same thing, it just depends on the workflow you want
