Also check the front differential mount. I had a '72 and when that thing started to go, there was a pronounced "Thump" on acceleration and decceleration.
Hey Jeff. It was so great meet you today. Your channel is amazing. I would love to get together and learn some more. Let me know if you have some free time.
That Eckler front end, exposed headlamps and hood. That stache on your lip Jeff goes well with a retro '72 Vette. haha You are looking good and a whole lot thinner than days past. Take care -Glen
Love the channel Jeff, you guys helped me put together my 9 inch from the brake segment to the center section, anyway have you guys ever experienced an oil leak only under hard acceleration in rear main seal area? What may be the cause of this you think, I'm running a bbc 454 th400 ford trk 9inch thanks guys
Thanks for the kind words! How many miles on the engine? The seals may be on the verge of a long term leak. Also, if you are twisting the crank hard enough flex could be an issue. Email me at: Jford@autorestomod.com and we can run it down a little better there.
good video!........ even though I'm not a Vette guy!......its nice to see a good maintenance tip! but they should get jackstands!.....for safetys sake!
Decidedly not those kind of car folks. Gina inherited the car from her dad when he passed. They love the old vette, just don't have the time to do all the work.
@@AutoRestoMod I am about 35 miles east of Tampa. About 10 miles south of Lakeland. Watch out for all the crazy FL drivers. You guys put out some interesting stuff, keep up the good work.
Honestly I don't know on the headlight kit, that was something that was done back in the early eighties. Knowing the guy who put this car together though, he probably did that himself.
Also, let's treat this like a car show, hands in pockets, opinions stowed. The owner built what he wanted from what he had. It might be too Corvette Summer for some, but for Gina, this is a link to her father.
DANN IT ! I wanted to see the repair!
When the engine starts the music should stop.
Normally I would but the audio was not up to standards.

All of that on this one is fresh. New half shafts, mount and gears

I'm out of town tomorrow I think. But give me a call and we can set something up.
Awesome C3 Corvette. Great American Muscle.

All I need now is a porn to star in under my hollywood name: Buck Nekkid.

Nice show. My question is. Do c3 vets use hub centric wheels or lug centric? I wanna get rims for mine. Not sure which way to go. Thank you!
The stock wheels are lug centric.
Where in central fl are you? It's way too hot here, glad I'm going to Tennessee for some Fall weather.
We were on the Tampa side. We are based in Aiken, SC.

Omg, how did he get those glass t tops to fit his corvette? I couldn’t get them to fit my 75! Also, what headlight kit is that????

Still making videos? Awesome.
Yep. 430 and counting!
You do house calls now?! Come to Nashville!
Might! Never know!
I was expecting a video of the rear bearing fix. Come on.
No tools.
Autorestomod Manic Mechanic Gasoline Media At the garage you were taking it too.
i would drive is all the time
Gina Loves this car. As soon as she can get it redone, she and her husband will be doing just that.
who ever did those body mods should be slapped !!
The car was nothing but a shell and a frame when Gina's dad got it. No headlight doors, etc. Too far gone to go full resto.
